im gonna post some of my airport in progress then .....
-
that its a sad thinking but you are right . they should make things that get close to reality ! is there any " red " airport fire truck in the world or are they all yellow lime in europe too ???
-
the biggest issue that i get with lego its that the planes need more detail and realism . the wings need to have some dihedral and the shape of the nose needs to be more round on the big jets . At least will get the airport truck soon !!!1

Airport fire truck - SET 6005? This is a beast of a fire truck roughly looking around 8 studs wide and 20-32 studs long in red with 2 mini figs, 1 burning jet engine nnnoooooo why in red ! I wanted to be in the yellow lime green like the ones in north america ,does any body think the same ???? oh well still ill buy it . with all this 8 stud trucks and cars they need to come out with a 10 or 12 stud garage doors , i mean Im trying to build a airport fire truck but there's no way i could install a sliding door on it with this huge trucks ....... does any body agree with me on the color and doors ????
-
mmmmm really looking forward to the airport fire truck , hopefully this one would come out as a north american ones with the green colors . they should also make a airport fire truck station with a bigger side doors garages !

what happened to the coast guard plane and the fishing boat set ???
-
I think the gas station it's a must have , especially since its being a long time since we haven't seen one on the market for years . Also , a must has to be a truck stop with all this trucks over the years .

news form London TOY fair , just confirmation of what had rumors before ...... City The new City sub-themes for later in the year are coast guard and cargo airport. The coast guard sets are, apparently, slightly <insert that tiresome argument> and aimed at a younger audience. They do appear to comprise mostly large single-use pieces (boat hulls, aircraft cockpits, etc.). The coast guard vehicles in the sets are white and orange with blue accents. The five sets are: 60011, Surfer Rescue, jet ski, 2 figures, shark. 60012, 4 x 4 and diving boat, 2 figures. 60013, Coast Guard Helicopter. This looked like the the most interesting of the five, the helicopter uses a new cockpit piece that, while <insert that tiresome argument>, looks pretty good. The helicopter is rescuing a wind surfer. 2 figures. 60015, Coast Guard Plane, seaplane rescuing fishing boat, 3 figures. 60014, Coast Guard Patrol, the largest set, quite a lot in this one: large floating boat, RIB, rock and lighthouse, small helicopter, sharks. The cargo airport sets were far more interesting. They are green and white: 60019, Stunt Plane, is actually a bit out of place because it doesn't really go with the rest of the sets in terms of theme or colour. It'll be £10 and features a black/red/white single-prop plane and a small ground support vehicle. 60020, Cargo Truck, £25, is a 'great vehicle': a 6-wheeled truck, an excellent orange fork-lift truck and a couple of pallets. A superb set by the looks of it. 60021, Cargo Heliplane, £25, features the new cockpit piece also used in the coast guard helicopter and has end-of-wing mounted rotors. It looks to be supporting forest logging operations as the set comes with logs and a guy with a chainsaw. 60022, Cargo Terminal, £70, contains an absolutely huge cargo plane, the largest LEGO has made by the looks of things, at least 40-studs long I would estimate. It also contains various ground support vehicles, including a conveyer truck for loading the pallets, and also a control tower. http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=5559

the helicopter was based on a MH-53M I think , instead of the one that u showed on the pic ! seems that LEGO is doing military helicopters and planes but in a city version !!!! VC-22 osprey coming soon on the cargo side .
-
well duh , obviously they can do it better on the lego creator expert series , so lets say is not much of a kids toy anymore .
-
same thing I was saying !!!! Im really tired of this lego wide body planes , they don't look like the real thing at all , and it sucks that the planes is only 9 pieces and that's it . There is not a large building on it , and the wings do not have any dihadrel at all !!! Something so important in today's aviation with the good looking aerodinnamical winglets at the end of the wings . C mon Lego you can do better on this big. planes , we can design something where I can see the pilots on the side and front like a normal plane , design new wings that look like a Airbus wing . A wing where I can fit my four engines or 2 big massive engines like today's planes " 777 " . With movebable wings and flaps for landing , a plane where I can get a rectratible landing gear . Moreover , desing. a 747 that opens the nose to load extra cargo , including and good cargo loader that looks like the real thing . Hope the Lego team goes to the airport and design planes and airports that look like the real thing , defitnally on the expert side would be nice to have a model that really gets all this points . Does any body agree with me for a airport modular to be made ?? That would be nice to see in the years to come !

I really like the idea of the CV 22 osprey as a cargo plane , but still we are short of a cargo terminal for the airport . Any images of the last 3 sets to be reveal ???
