  1. WOW!!!!!!!!! I'm definitely blown away by the Marvel sets. They're much better than I was expecting, to be honest (probably because most characters don't seem to be too heavily based on their cartoon counterparts). Only disappointments for me are the lame Rhino mech, and no "micro fig" Ant-Man. But that's really nitpicking...
  2. Nooooooooooo!!! What a shame that this comes right on the heels of Toy Fair, too. I was looking forward to possibly seeing some new sets.
  3. WOW. Fantastic!!! Can't wait to binge watch the heck out of this series on April 10th.
  4. This is just too cool!!! I would have been really, really surprised if this one wasn't approved considering the connection to Angus MacLane. Looking forward to buying this on Day 1!!
  5. Very exciting news!!! Hopefully that's an indication that we'll see "classic" JP sets someday as well.
  6. It wouldn't be any more unusual than Queen Amidala being included with the Gungan Sub, Jango Fett with the Corporate Alliance tank droid....or any of dozens of other examples. Minifig selection doesn't always correlate perfectly, but they're a major selling point (which TLG realizes).
  7. The Final Duel set looks amazing!!! It's always fantastic when Lego releases an environment/location set in the Star Wars theme.
  8. Wasn't planning on getting into this theme (I'm collecting WAAAAY too many), but man.....these look great! I'll likely cave and get the Mystery Machine, at least.
  9. I don't think this has been posted anywhere yet..... https://pbs.twimg.co...mcSIMAENnPo.jpg
  10. Why does this need its own topic....?
  11. That would be fantastic, but seeing as Lego tends to not do "playset" type sets for Star Wars very often, I doubt it.
  12. Correct. And in fact, it goes a bit deeper than that: Those unfinished episodes are considered part of the official canon, and the "Breaking Ranks" episode of Rebels confirms that the Empire has big plans for the giant Kyber crystals. If just ONE of those crystals packs that much of a punch, imagine what a connected network of them would do..... (*ahem* http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130417042535/starwars/images/4/4d/Dsiipown.png) I absolutely LOVE the dramatic irony at play here: the key component of the weapon of the Jedi is also used to power the greatest weapon of destruction the galaxy has ever seen.
  13. Hopefully the reveal is within the next few days. Is there any upcoming Lego fan event that TLG might reveal it at?
  14. ^ Yeah, the names were first revealed via the Lego sets.
  15. That Bain minifigure is like the middle finger as Lego drops the mic and walks away from the Middle-earth theme. Truly disappointing.
  16. Congrats! It's one of my absolute favorite sets.
  17. A new Cloud City set is LONG overdue, as is anything from Dagobah. Apart from Hoth, nearly everything from Empire has been neglected. :-/
  18. Yes!!! I'm actually really happy that the Yularen minifig is the ANH version. Definitely excited to add him to my Death Star conference room.
  19. I wouldn't expect too many playset-like features. I want that as much as anybody, but a set of this size is going to have to devote a significant portion of the build to stability and structure. Not to mention the fact that the Helicarrier is a vehicle first and foremost.
  20. It'll include minifigures, for sure. Lego realizes that minifigures are a major selling point (hence the reason they included two exclusives with the Tumbler).
  21. I have to agree that it's ridiculous (and slightly frustrating) the amount of attention Hoth is getting in recent years. We can only hope that TLG has some pretty great plans in the works for Cloud City and Dagobah related sets eventually.
  22. With the Hellicarrier releasing for VIP's in February, we should be seeing an official reveal any day now!!
  23. Lucasfilm is keeping a tight lid on The Force Awakens. There's no way they'd allow sets to be released more than 4 months ahead of time.
  24. "Wolf" was the behind-the-scenes production title for Rebels.
  25. Thanks for the update, just2good! My guess is that the Imperial Assault Carrier is really the Gozanti-class ship seen several times in Rebels: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Gozanti-class_cruiser It could be really neat if Lego included a few midi-scaled TIE fighters to go with it (similar to Vader's TIE Advanced in 10188).
