    I'm going to buy 42082 anyway. But yes, I had better save some money and skip 42070.

    42070 rough terrain truck is available for $178 (€156) in my city. I personally like how its functions work (especially the outtriggers). Also I still don't own any RC sets. What to do?

    The last 3x3 scheme is very good, but you have to turn it upside down to make the boom stronger. Or use additional beams to staple the panels. But in this case the boom will have a 3x4 full size.

    Why does it make you sad? Ludo Visser, so your boom is still 5 studs wide? In my opinion many Technic designers make the same mistake when building such wide booms in cranes and excavators. In reality those parts are pretty slim!

    It's possible when using old beams. Perhaps you have to add several thin liftarms to make the boom more robust.

    Cabriolet with an automatically folding roof would be a very interesting supercar. And the motor could be also used for lifting suspension, for example.

    42054 is a two years old set only! I bought it for €127 a week ago (in my country though). Also a couple of old sets I found in toy stores in my city (those have no internet sites). The sellers had no idea what nice sets they had sitting on shelves! Furthermore, they discounted prices in order to get rid of the outdated sets!

    42082 has 4 small actuators, 2 big actuators and a boom. Add medium wheels from your 42079 and you'll be able to build any construction vehicles like cranes, excavators or telehandlers. Any!

    I wish Lego re-released some old set every year alongside new sets, of course. Also we haven't seen tricycle and motorcycle with side car attached for 25 years!

    It's ridiculous that Sariel can't review the new sets until August 1 due to embargo, whereas the other reviewers have been doing that for a week!

    This set is not for kids. I doubt a teenager doesn't understand why the superstructure is locked.

    Today bought 42055 for $209 thanks to your advices guys! Wow in reality the box looks miles more impressive than I thought! Can't wait to open the set!

    Hello. So the question is in the title. Right now I can buy 42055 excavator for $210 (sealed of course). The new crane 42082 is a great set as well, but now its expensive and I kinda dislike the red color. Holy shit even wheels are red in the set! Your thoughts?
