  1. That's awesome! I love the turning mechanism, as well as how the train passes through the shed like a tunnel. Well done!
  2. @The Reader Thank you!
  3. That's right. From bottom to top it's a 1x2 plate, two clips, a 1x2 plate, two clips, and a 1x2 tile. Thanks, I'm planning to continue the story - possibly with another build!
  4. From my point of view, the Jedi are evil! (Sorry, couldn't resist!) I think yellow minifigures are a great part of Lego's charm and a good way to emphasize our common humanity. As C.S. Lewis so eloquently put it, we are all "sons of Adam and daughters of Eve," after all.
  5. Great job and congratulations on making the front page!
  6. Nice ship - I think the hull technique works well!
  7. Nice work! I like the vines growing over the trellis!
  8. Thank you all for the kind words!
  9. @Brickwolf Thanks!
  10. I wonder if that was even TLG's decision, or if Lucasfilm had the final say?
  11. I'm not familiar with Rebrickable - I'll have to check it out!
  12. @mindstormsboi Thanks for pointing that out - I had misread the rules and thought it just had to fit on a 16x16 baseplate. I've edited the post and the tags. I think it looks better with the extra 2x6 area!
  13. Not Only Locomotives Need Water
  14. Here's my entry for the Eurobricks Flower Show. I knew I wanted to incorporate my favorite theme (trains!) so I thought, why not have a freight car converted to a flower bed? Then, of course, you need a way to water the flowers! Thanks for looking - good luck to all the contestants!
  15. Not based on any particular weapon, this generic machine gun model uses only 12 pieces. It can be mounted to a vehicle on a single stud. (This might be the wrong subforum as it's not based on a real gun and more suitable for an Adventurers/dieselpunk theme.) I hope you can find it useful!
  16. That's a fantastic model - great shaping and details! (I didn't know Soviet pilots were ever allowed to smile, though!)
  17. Very nice with excellent details all around. The SNOT technique on the end is brilliant. I wonder how an assembly of this part on their sides would look for the steps at the ends? Of course you might not have room.
  18. Great work - it would look right at home on a small industrial line!
  19. Neat - it's nice to see what an older impulse set might look like with modern pieces!
  20. That's a lovely model and a touching tribute. Great work!
  21. That's a great base design with nice landscaping - well done!
  22. Thank you! Thanks - finding the broken arm in a bag of minifig parts was actually the inspiration for the statue and the rest of the MOC! Thank you! That's a good idea - I've added an updated picture with a bit more rubbish lying about below. 4 September, 1886 - Between Kilroy's snoring and the uncanny feeling that we were being watched, I hardly slept last night. I've kept my carbine close at hand all night and this morning as well. There's something about this place...perhaps the locals aren't so superstitious after all. Twice I've heard something behind me but turned round to find nothing. Whatever it was has the pack horse on edge too. But I must go and do some digging now. Kilroy says the remains we found belong to a 12th century crusader, and I suppose seven centuries are long enough to wait for a proper burial. - E. H.
  23. @Spud The Viking Looks great so far!
