Latest impact of other themes on historic themes

What a day: The leaked Zelda Tree can be used for any fantasy forest. The leaked 7 dwarves set is a beautiful historical house. -
For someone who has spend 12 years of making custom Elves this is probably the most important release EVER. Finally a home for at least some of the army. The looks of it are perfect. The roofs, the angles, the trees. This looks like it was designed by some of these hardcore moccers which I still look up to. This changes plans a little. I have started building LegoMocLocs Rivendell and as much as I adore his designs I must say the official one looks superior (although his covers much more ground). So this one will kind of set the standard for future projects, I hope to integrate my treehouse somehow by giving the three huts an Elven look. The fact that is only half of a house must be rectified by moccing. Maybe by selling all non-elves I can make some money back. By the way: The leaked Disney Dwarves set also looks very compatible to any historical village. And what is this with the Zelda trees?!

Feral Forest Splinter Dryad Feral Forest Splinter Dryad by MWardancer Feral Forest Splinters are young adult male Dryads. Not only are they speedy runners, they also climb very well, especially on trees, because after all that is what they themselves are: trees. While they lack the towering, awe-inspiring height of full-grown Dryads, they are fierce fighters with a lot of scratchy pain potential. Customization Notes: Body: I bought six Demogorgon keychains and ripped out the chains. This is a very affordable way to get many Demogorgons. So I will build six Splinters in total. I did not want the Groot bodies, because the Demogorgon bodies look more fierce and less humanoid. Head: I bought six cheap knockoff Groots... in the wrong color. Then I bought six original Groots just for the heads. I glued on extra bits and painted some parts. Feet: The claws are cut from the the same shoulder armor bit used on the shoulders. Shoulders: This is a shoulder armor upside-down and painted. Tail: This is a Brickwarriors' harpy tail, painted. Claws: Cut and painted. Dryads have always been a favourite project of mine, because I find them very difficult to make. Humanoid, but not human, irregular shapes and so on. I am going to redo many of the ones I already have and make some big new ones until I finally have something of a walking forest.

Does somebody know what happened to Cape Madness? It is my favourite cape maker, but he is not on Bricklink anymore. -

An unusual sight nowadays: Empty CMF boxes. -
I like how the lance matches the colours of the barding. Are these candle pieces?

If the new Galadriel is made into a minifig, it might actually make me punch her in the face.

The Elves theme has some good stickers, for example these: They come in gold and silver, both with dark green and transparent backgrounds. I used the ones with dark green backgrounds, for your black shields you would need the transparent ones. In general, it could be fun to browse trough sticker sheets on bricklink and see if you can find some suitable ones.

As the series had a fallen Elf, it would be a first to see one of his kind in a set.

I like how the purple also appears in the wizard and the fruit. The door decoration is a nice touch, too.

This point of discussion reminds me of all the sets I had in mind when I first heard that Lego and Lotr had joined, two of the most amazing brands/universes I knew. Oh what greatness to expect from such a glorious combination of medium and content. A whole Universe was to be expected. 101 missed oportunities later I was thankful for some nice figs, a warg which looked weird with a saddle and a giant eagle that could not be mounted.

Beautiful ring! I cannot help you directly, but there are countless tutorials on how to build a round tower. A ring is basically a segment of a tower, is it not? So tower techniques should work.

A Gergoyle is a German Gargoyle. No, just a typing error. -

The upcoming Thor has a shorter version of the Elven spear in pearl gold. -
A 500 Euro Rivendell? Cannot wait to buy the 150 Euro China clone of that.
-
I would appreciate a shield mould which resembels the Elven leaflike shield, an Elven helmet and an Elven sword. Many clone companies and customizer companies have tried, to some success, but I would like to see official versions.

So the bow is really dark tan. I will have to paint some quivers. -

Do we think the green bushel on top of the carrot can be taken off to make a new plant? -

Good figs. It‘s almost like they listen to customers and their wishes. I am looking forward to seeing new Orc armies. Nice that the orc shield is a new variant compatible to the old logo. Interesting that they use the shorter bow for the archer. -
😀 One of my life goals is to build his UCS Rivendell and improve it a little in my own style. Time will tell if an official set interferes with that.

Check out „legomocloc“, he is about to Release instructions for that. Preview is on his instagram.
