  1. I could imagine using the new butterfly from the new insect set as a mount for fantasy warriors. Maybe also the other insects. There is for example a Warhammer Elven Queen on a giant bug.
  2. It looks like a new mold to me and I like it. It is huge! It screams „Zombie“ dragon. I dont like brickbuilt animals with molded heads. Maybe I can stick this Dragon head on the white clone-brand indominus rex I bought from Aliexpress some time ago. I like the wing design of the Gringotts Dragon though.
  3. The little owl will be easy to feel. Oh wait…
  4. Yes, it does not look too modern IMHO.
  5. I am actually a bit excited about the new bow. Yes, there is some screw or rivet or something on it (in the hi res leak picture of the box), but I think this could easily be seen as some historic technology. It might look nice with a golden oder silver dot on it. I have never liked most of the custom bows on the market, so this is promising. I hope the next picture does not show some mechanism which is too modern.
  6. Feral Forest Timber Dryad (revisited 2023) Feral Forest Timber Dryad (revisited 2023) by MWardancer, Timbers are adult male dryads, once they grow out of the Splinter age. Slower than the agile younglings, they march through the forest in order to watch out for undesired disturbances. Customization Notes: I revisited this Dryad as I felt the old version was too humanoid and not spiky enough. This was a lot of extra work. - foot claws: cut from armor, painted, glued - legs: painted (the next generation will have the long tan Avatar legs) - lots of leaves and claws - hands: unlike the old version, all new Dryads will have the branches not glued to hands, but directly come out out the arms The Meaning of "Revisitation" by MWardancer, Since 2022 many of my figs bear the term "revisited". It means I go through my army and try to max out every fig as far as new parts and new skills allow. Sometimes it means small changes only, but here you can see an extreme example.
  7. I enjoy seeing how Rivendell spawns a microcosm of new ideas, like this MOC for example: https://www.instagram.com/p/CtPaotoL91q/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
  8. The white horse does not make me raise an eyebrow. There are so many clone horses with different prints in different colors on Aliexpress for like 1 Euro a piece that I can only laugh at TLGs strategy here.
  9. The new Ninjago hood with fox ears and hair is a welcome addition to the existing range of hoods.
  10. This might be the first MOC I have ever seen with these mice. I have been wondering if people buy them at all. Great fungi!
  11. No, but I hope to gain some ideas by fellow builders. Maybe Someone will improve the trees, add a waterfall, complete the house, add tiles to the upper floor… I would be very interested in seeing everyones ideas.
  12. I think we should have a thread for Rivendell modifications, expansions etc.
  13. Just ordered one without figs and weapons for 330 Euro. A good option for me. The weapons are nice, but not too spectacular for a customizer like me who has loads of third party weapons already. Many Brickwarriors' swords are at least as good as the official ones. The only figs I really like are the gray Elves and I can buy one later. Elrond is nice, but I have the old one already. So it is 6000 parts for 330 Euro which I think is satisfying. There is a guy in Italy who sells it for 280. Think about it: You could buy TWO and complete the other half of the house with this.
  14. MOCELRA - Mobile Centaur Long Range Artillery MOCELRA - Mobile Centaur Long Range Artillery by MWardancer, auf Flickr A three horsepower hoof engine gives the MOCELRA the fastest shot-and-gallop capability on the battlefield. While other artillery units may surpass it in terms of firing rate, range or projectile mass, the MOCELRA excels in true all-terrain mobility. In most cases, the enemy will never know what hit them. The crew usually consist of three: The holder, whose name is Holger, provides a standfast base for the device and carries it from site to site. Secondly, the gunner, who goes by the name of Gunnar, takes aim and releases the ammunition. Thirdly, there is the loader, who calls himself Lothar and makes sure the next projectile is at hand quickly. Customization Notes: - bow: painted - spears: painted - string: string
  15. Wood Elf General Haldir Na Palm (revisited 2023) Wood Elf General Haldir Na Palm (revisited 2023) by MWardancer, Leader of the Eternal Rivendell Guard (coming soon), General Haldir Na Palm cuts through enemies like a wildfire. Customization Notes: - helmet: cheap Aliexpress helmet, painted - weapon: two Aliexpress daggers glued and painted - shoulder armor: official LEGO piece painted - cape from CapeMadness For years, I thought Haldir was the ultimate fig that could never be improved. Then I felt he needed some green bits to fit the green army better.
  16. Thank you. A bit of cheating by painting here and there does the trick.
  17. I would be thrilled to see someone else's version defend an army, slay a dragon or guard a Rivendell... The Elven Wood is this part:https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=18395 It comes in many colors. As a customizer, I painted it with Revell paint (they make model airplanes and such). It is very easy paintjob. If you want to stay purist, bright light orange might be a choice or black if you have an evil faction. Thr string is some simple sewing string. Make one knot to one end, tie it around the other and cut it off. No special measurement is needed. A bit tricky but once it is on, it is on. In this older picture you can see the technique more clearly: War Machines by MWardancer, auf Flickr The main axis uses illegally cut bars, but it would be possible to build this with legal techniques. Tis part could be used for example: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=32828#T=C Wohoo, I am very surprised this got frontpaged as it was only a little side project. Maybe it is the moment for Elves now.
  18. It is very sad there is no Elven shield in this. I have ones from three different customizers, but none are perfect.
  19. I‘ll probably sell off all non-Elven figs to lower the price a little. Is this 3 Elven swords in the armory or what is this? There is three of something. The best set ever, all just because of that shitty series. *insert kitschy pseudo-philospical Elven dialogue about light and dark balancing each other here*
  20. I love the printed tiles that make some of the floor inside the house. No wonder this is 6000 pieces.
  21. Whats with the open floor with the yellow thing inside???
  22. MEADS - Modular Elven Allround Defense System (revisited 2023) MEADS - Modular Elven Allround Defense System (revisited 2023) by MWardancer, auf Flickr Initially designed as an answer to the proliferation of evil airborne creatures, the MEADS manufactured by Rheinmetall has quickly become a true all-round Elven weapon. It is known as a long-range cavalry killer and effective troll deterrent. The prospect of encountering a sudden rain of bolts reinforced with Elven steel is something even medium-sized dragons frown upon. Due to its modular nature, versions with up to 10 launchers can be built if mobility is not of primary importance. Protect your Rivendell today with the Rheinmetall MEADS - Modular Elven Allround Defense System.
