  1. The next review stage begins in early May, and according to their new schedule it should take about four months, so we should have our answer in September.
  2. The (possibly apocryphal) etymology of "southpaw" originates from baseball, where it was once common practice to build fields oriented with home plate on the west corner, meaning left-handed pitchers threw with their south-facing arm. If I recall correctly, the I <3 Southpaws mug and Hail to the Chef apron were both from the same episode.
  3. Didn't I read something about a larger, more detailed version that will be widely available when construction on the real House is completed?
  4. 21050 is now listed as "Available Now" on shop.lego.com.
  5. No, the Technic bricks are there because they have hollow studs, necessary for the 1x2 plates to be attached at an offset. Technic bricks actually contain more plastic than their standard brick counterparts. ETA: Well, two of the Technic bricks are there for their hollow studs - the third is indeed a cost-cutting measure since it's more cost effective to add one more of an element that's already in the set than to introduce a different part for a structural element that isn't seen in the final build anyway.
  6. Did you join the forum just to say that? Real question: is there a confirmed piece count for this set anywhere?
  7. Not if their release coincides with the DVD release of the movie.
  8. Some of the pieces are pretty large - check out the underside of the jet - and that always drives price per piece up.
  9. Off topic, but according to the Bricklink price guide one sold for two dollars last month! Regarding potential DVD figures, prologue Vitruvius is the most likely candidate.
  10. The new ball joints from Mixels and the Chima Legend Beasts could make for a brick-built Groot that's poseable but still fairly slender.
  11. Reportedly Wolfgang Von Strucker will be in the film as well, so they might split villain duty in the sets. It also wouldn't surprise me if Ultron upgrades himself repeatedly, meaning there's potential for a couple different variant figs.
  12. From the instructions it looks like one Mixel per series comes with a Nixel.
  13. More detailed than a typical Creator building, less so than a typical modular. Pretty wide, too - the bike shop section is about 24 studs wide, the cafe about 12. Can't tell how deep, though.
  14. Brickset has it listed at $89.99. No idea where they got that figure, but they tend not to post that sort of info unless it's confirmed somewhere.
  15. The show's 25th anniversary is this year - the network has a pretty big promotional push behind it.
  16. That was quick.
  17. Someone please make just2good's Member Title "Summoning a manservant to freshen his trousers."
  18. Brickset also posted three new DC sets. DC Duplo sets. Sci beat me to it.
  19. We've figured it out, folks: the entire process of manufacturing and distributing 21021 was part of an elaborate conspiracy to prevent someone from having a complete collection, and anyone who has ever had anything positive to say about LEGO is a sycophant who is probably being paid off. Seriously, I'm not happy about it either. I was going for a complete collection too. What this means to me is, now that I now that won't happen, I'll no longer feel the need to purchase sets I don't like all that much for the sake of completion. It's still possible to like an organization that disappoints you, though. Ask any Cleveland Browns fan.
  20. I should warn anyone who wants to pick up the Essential Guide, it does include some major spoilers for the film. I'm honestly kind of surprised they released it this early.
  21. Looks like the double decker couch is in the pirate ship too. Everyone can watch TV together and be buddies!
  22. There's no designer listed anywhere! The model is listed on architecture.lego.com, and there's no "Design the Model" section on the website or in the instructions. I wonder if this one was all done in-house by a TLG designer instead of Tucker, Kobe, or Hepp - probably Steen Sig Andersen if I had to guess.
  23. You are stealing. They're not asking you to pay because you're claiming these are "replacement" parts, which is a lie. Lying to get something for free is, in fact, stealing.
  24. There was probably no price label because they just came in - price labels have to be printed up at the store and applied after sets are unboxed, so that's not necessarily an indicator that it would be a giveaway.
