2015 The LEGO Movie rumors and discussion
tafkatb replied to just2good's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I don't really care if it has play features either - I'll mainly be using it as a display stand of sorts for my TLM figures, and I suspect I'm far from the only one who will. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Somehow I have a hunch that Thor will be in this wave's $12.99 set. -
Oh wow - the ice castle looks even better now! I didn't mind the medium lavender stairs, but Aqua looks so much more cohesive with the rest of the set. Also, I'm really hoping you get better soon. Is it just a bad cold or do you have the flu? I certainly wouldn't blame you if you took a few days off from posting pictures to rest up.

Both Series 5 and 6 are available on S@H.

Because those are the colors of the Danish flag? I mean, that's probably not the reason but it'd be funny if it were.
-
Captain Cold's outfit looks like Dark Azure to me. I'm not entirely sure, but it's definitely not the regular blue - look at him next to the truck driver in the lineup on the bottom of the box.

That looks an awful lot like a Bluth's Frozen Banana uniform...

Thank you for the pictures J2G! I hope you feel better soon! -
You are indeed very much mistaken. The reaction has not been "global" so much as "a handful of dudes on the Internet that, let's be honest, complain constantly no matter what."
-
I'll confess I have little experience with constraction, and BIONICLE's original run coincided almost exactly with my dark ages, but I'm happy for you folks! I've been told this is, indeed, next year's Big Bang theme, so we can probably expect a lot of media support for the new line.

It might not even be coming out of Billund though - it's only about 10:00AM in Enfield right now. -

Unlikely - Batman v Superman comes out in March 2016, and movie-based sets tend to come out a good month or two before the film is released. Doesn't leave a whole lot of time for a whole wave beforehand. Doesn't mean they can't throw in one or two comic sets alongside the BvS wave (like the X-Men set that came out in tandem with the Avengers wave), but that could be wishful thinking.

At the risk of getting too wish-listy here (not that there's much to talk about otherwise), I've been thinking Taliesin could be a great choice for the next big entry - could include the surrounding topography akin to Fallingwater, but built on a footprint closer to the Robie House's size.
-
Flatiron looks to be about 12" tall. Lincoln Memorial is pretty small though - the entire base is only 5" wide.

The molds were likely still in development at the time the prelim pictures were taken. Stand-ins for new molds and prints are very common in prelims because they're some of the last parts to be finalized.
-
You really think the Grodd set will be more expensive than the Darkseid one? My guess is $50-60 for Grodd and $70-75 for Darkseid, and I'm hoping Black Manta is more like $40.
-
I think using more desaturated colors works better for these - it makes them look more like actual architectural models.
-
Only the Green Lantern one for sure - $19.99. The rest is educated guessing based on size and Euro prices.
-
Scissors! We finally get scissors!
-
Well, he's dressed in green and appears to be holding a bow, so it's pretty likely. The black hair might be a stand-in for a recolor.
-
This may be overly optimistic, but that might be an indicator that the Green Lantern logo will be printed - the printed Batman piece could be a stand-in for a new printed piece, whereas if it were a sticker I feel like it would have been plain black in the prelim.
-
I find your lack of faith disturbing. Of course, you have no reason to trust me, since I'd rather not reveal my source, but I promise it is not mere speculation. Then again, these things can change at the last minute - the Sandcrawler was originally listed at $349.99 before it was officially revealed.

I've been expecting a director ever since Series 8 - the Actor's bio mentions that he wants to someday direct! -
We don't know that the previous review stage is done, we just know the next review has started.
