  1. There's some "inflationary explanation" for it. There's also a good deal of basic supply and demand involved as well.
  2. Just like with The LEGO Movie and Jurassic World and Age of Ultron and The Force Awakens and Angry Birds and, well, every movie that gets LEGO sets before the movie releases, prelim catalogs most likely aren't gonna show much more than some blank boxes. So maybe let's just be patient?
  3. Minor note but I realized the new helmet means we can finally get an Iron Man keychain; the faceplate on the existing helmet made that impractical before.
  4. I think you're referring to Jordan Schwartz? He and Astrid collaborated on the Palace Cinema.
  5. I got the Superman & Wonder Woman set and was wondering about the pink bricks... hadn't occurred to me that they were brains!
  6. That's assuming the "Action" moniker is the final official name, and not a preliminary working title or mistranslation.
  7. There most likely won't be any prelims for this theme.
  8. The LEGO Movie set list first turned up in mid-October of 2013, so we probably have another month or two to go.
  9. Because aside from a dozen or so of the best-known villains, the creators of the movie are deliberately going for obscure characters. Let's keep this in mind for all of the inevitable "Why is this D-list character being made before we've even gotten [insert your favorite C-list character]?!" complaints. Basically, if you're wondering why any given character didn't make the cut, the answer is probably, "They're too mainstream, maaaaan."
  10. Again, it's a prelim, so there's no saying for absolute certain what the final design looks like. But there is nothing on said preliminary box art that says "Hey kids, this is definitely gonna be Steve Rogers!" It probably is, but that's not set in stone.
  11. It's most likely Steve Rogers, but no, it's not 100% confirmed - the prelim uses the AoU Cap, but since that's definitely a stand-in either way, no one here can say for absolute certain what the final version will be.
  12. Same for Marvel, aside from the Detroit Steel/Crimson Dynamo mix-up, but I chalk that up to misremembering, not deliberate falsification. Let's keep in mind that pretty much everything that can be said about the Marvel sets already has been said, so of course people are just repeating each other at this point.
  13. Everything Whisperer has said over in the DC thread is true, so I trust that they have indeed seen some sort of prelim catalog. Y'all trust me, right?
  14. Nah, they've also revealed some new information in other threads, all of which I'm preeetty sure is true.
  15. Ooh, that does look very nice. Just imagine how it will look displayed alongside the F40, Beetle, and MINI... so colorful!
  16. A building of some sort, I reckon. Built out of LEGO bricks. Thousands of them!
  17. I'm leaning more toward wanting it to be just a larger, updated model of the New York museum. The previous model looked okay on its own, but looked out of place when I displayed it with the other Frank Lloyd Wright buildings because it was so much smaller. Of course, I'd certainly be happy about Bilbao or Abu Dhabi.
  18. That might be a mistranslation...
  19. Seal everything up in airtight bags or bins (you'll need the type of bins with a foam rubber gasket on the lid) and keep them away from the heat. Here's the tough part - you'll have to keep everything sealed long enough for any bugs that could potentially be in there to die off so they don't reinfest. This could take several months.
  20. I love pizza. Does this mean I need a new avatar again? What to do, what to do...
