  1. I appreciate the Skyline sets for filling the "souvenir" niche in the assortment, so I'd like to see them stick around. My hope is that this allows the rest of the line to renew a focus on buildings that represent significant contributions to the design and architectural world, and not just tourist attractions. (A small part of me will forever be bitter that the planned Eames House was scrapped and its SKU reassigned to a Leaning Tower of Pisa model. ) So to answer your overall question, "Do you love the Skylines, or wish for more large classic LEGO Architecture models?" Well... both. My ideal assortment for each year would be three Skyline sets plus two or three larger "starchitect" models. And maybe a refresh of the Studio concept while we're at it... (Oh, by the way, I might have figured out the piece on top of the Wrigley Building: I think we're looking at a white version of the lipstick piece from Friends.)
  2. Not really. Most of the official images that have surfaced so far are of January releases; Speed Champions' next wave is in March. In the past few years, catalogs featuring March releases have turned up sometime in the middle of December.
  3. If anything, they reduced the amount of DC sets to focus on TLBM. If you're just looking at the Super Heroes theme proper, Marvel has twice as many sets as DC in 2017.
  4. Not really... The show used some extremely obscure villains as well as quite a few that were original creations, so aside from Joker, Riddler, Catwoman, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and King Tut, I'm pretty sure none of them have been made as minifigs at all, let alone in a version that fits the '66 aesthetic. You might be able to make purist customs of some fairly easily, though - Here is a pretty comprehensive list with pictures.
  5. Good; we were starting to worry about you.
  6. 100% chance.
  7. Any chance you could scan/photograph the part inventories?
  8. If nothing else that Clayface set looks like a fantastic Medium Nougat parts pack.
  9. I'd say you're safe for a while. The Fairground Mixer would most likely leave the shelves before the Ferris Wheel.
  10. So, I know the Roof Tile W. Lattice 1x2x2/3 has been colloquially known as the "cheese grater" for some time, but is its appearance in the Pizzeria the first time it's actually been used as one?
  11. There have been two different Tarantulas - I'm guessing they'll be going with the original one from the 40's, not the Catalina Flores version.
  12. Technically, yes, because 27 is an odd number, but otherwise, why not? Sunday is a great day to release new products because so many people have the day off to go buy them.
  13. The Lowrider comes out on November 27th, along with the Batmobile, Batcave, and Mr. Freeze Ice Attack. The rest come out January 1st.
  14. It might come with the CMF Batgirl...
  15. No, it's probably about 55-75 total - the boxes are apparently going to be around $4.99 each.
  16. Brickset has it wrong; they have a tendency to just make stuff up sometimes. 21309 is the Apollo 11 Saturn V Rocket.
  17. Jungle sounds good!
  18. I think of Friends as being more or less equivalent to City - and City hasn't gotten any D2Cs either, just occasional big sets like the City Square.
  19. I noticed this has 1x2 bricks in Sand Blue - regular bricks, rather than the slotted ones found in the Pet Shop. That's an element we haven't seen in over a decade, and even then it was only in, what, four sets? Very glad to see it make a comeback!
  20. The modular buildings are set within a perpetually-shifting, unstable time warp, as evidenced by the clocks in the bakery, dentist's office, bank, and town hall all showing different times.
  21. Yep! I see it on the cash register in the music shop, and on the sink in the dentist's office.
  22. Yep, that's real. Same piece count I heard a while back; tried to drop a hint about it, but I don't think anyone caught it.
