  1. I kinda had a feeling that might be the case, given he was one of the earliest castings announced. Glad I already picked up the Sweetest Friends set.
  2. Question I hope can be answered without spoiling anything, for those of you who have seen it: who would you consider the "main" characters to be? I set up a display on my entertainment center for The LEGO Movie featuring Emmet, Wyldstyle, President Business, Vitruvius, Unikitty, Batman, Benny, MetalBeard, and Bad Cop, and would like to expand it with key players from the sequel. Clearly Sweet Mayhem, Rex, and Queen Watevra will need to be added, but does anyone else play a significant role on par with my original nine?
  3. So long, and thanks for all the 64648

Aw. See you later, Mister Banjo.

  4. Depends on how you group them, really. Your list lumps a lot of what I would consider shades of yellow and orange into the "brown/tan/earthy" segment. Nougat, light nougat, medium nougat, reddish brown, dark brown, dark orange - those are all colors you'd get by adjusting the saturation and brightness of plain ol' orange. Same with tan and dark tan for yellow - their official names are Brick Yellow and Sand Yellow, after all. ETA: Probably should have assumed Aanchir would say pretty much the same thing before I managed to click submit
  5. @GrahamSlam I think this thread would benefit from a poll for most likely and/or most wanted set.
  6. I'd say Gilmore Girls has the best chance. It hit 10,000 supporters very quickly, and yet a whole bunch of AFOLs seem to hate it and launch into the boilerplate tirades about how no actual LEGO fans voted for it and the audience is too niche and blah blah blah. All of which pretty much proves that there's a sizable potential customer base that is outside the usual target demographics, which means recruitment of new fans, which is a big part of the Ideas platform.
  7. Does the welder have a black ponytail hairpiece? Considering the unprinted version of that element was only ever available in one of the GB Olympics minifigures, I might want this set for that piece alone.
  8. It's not completely fake, exactly, but I wouldn't go so far as to label it completely legitimate either. The Falcon image I would chalk up to being a placeholder, but the release dates are all over the place.
  9. Just last month a Tron attraction was announced for Walt Disney World, so while they may or may not make any more movies, they're clearly still interested in keeping it in the public eye. While I'm not really a fan myself, I still think it has the strongest chance of passing review.
  10. Nicely done! Do you have an estimate of how many bricks it took?
  11. He didn't. He said he'd worked on a particularly large set releasing in December, so it wouldn't be the Winter Village set since those come out in September/October. I have no reason to think this year's WV set will be any bigger than usual.
  12. No. There aren't preliminary images for D2Cs.
  13. No, I don't think everyone is.
  14. I thought so too until I looked at how many exclusive recolors are in it.
  15. The fact that there are both V29 and V39 instructions gives me some hope that this will see a wide release eventually.
  16. Something like 1106, right? I feel like I saw that number somewhere. I do really like that BB-8; I'll have to get it for my sister this Christmas since I got her R2-D2 a few years ago. I hope we continue to see more large-scale stuff like this.
  17. True. The Skeletrons in The LEGO Movie were chrome silver on screen but grey in the actual sets, so clearly it isn't always necessary to match the on-screen color exactly. I think my preference for the actual Phosphorous figure would be Spring Yellowish Green though.
  18. The forest and sea monsters are not happening. What's more, I highly doubt there were ever serious plans for them in the first place. Why put future character designs out in the open that far in advance? That would basically be saying, "Here you go, Lepin! Enjoy your head start!"
  19. At some point in the next 176 days.
  20. Maybe Vader could have a new human head sculpt with a removable helmet? That could justify an update.
  21. Maybe that's what Sir von Lego saw and thought it was a Robin variant?
  22. Ah yes, there it is. Thanks for posting, @AgentKallus of Hydra!
  23. Wouldn't tell even if I did know.
  24. Why would anyone bother speculating about set numbers? Here, I'll save you the trouble: those are not the right set numbers.
