  1. The D2C is definitely for The LEGO Batman Movie. I'd advise people not to get their hopes up for any more non-DC villains.
  2. Doesn't mean it can't appear in a set anyway
  3. The "Making of the Movie" book showed a human-cannonball outfit for Harley alongside the three other variants that have been made so far...
  4. No. This list doesn't include the D2C.
  5. I'm going to buy dozens - no, hundreds - no, thousands of Arena Battles, so that TLG sees that sets like it sell really well and they will make more of them. Then I'm going to eat the minifigures.
  6. If I recall correctly, it's a 2018 Microfighter.
  7. I'm sure they're selling fine. But - Merchandising 101 here - you can't increase sales if you're not reaching new customers. Other toy companies have driven themselves into the ground by exclusively catering to the people who were already buying their stuff anyway, and making no effort to branch out. Like it or not, licensed series help recruit new customers in ways that "regular" series simply can't. Someone who's not already a LEGO fan sees no appreciable difference between Series 16 and Series 17, but they will notice - and potentially become a new customer! - if they see a series featuring Batman, or the Simpsons, or Disney characters, or
  8. I actually don't see 31066 as being the start of any sort of new subtheme - it's a vehicle, just like any of the cars or planes or boats Creator has done before. If anything, the fact that it's minifigure scale - and features a building as one of its alternate builds - means it could be seen as continuing the subtheme started by last year's Vacation Getaways and continued with Island Adventures earlier this year.
  9. I dunno why, but things just end up out of order sometimes. Last year 10253 Big Ben came out before 10252 Volkswagen Beetle.
  10. It will probably take me a while before I can make scans of the parts and instructions, but I do have the Superman & Wonder Woman set. Be advised that Superman includes an exclusive black Unikitty tail as well, which might be very difficult to get ahold of.
  11. Right, because Doctor Who is the most important thing in the whole entire universe and anytime anyone does anything at all that is not directly related to Doctor Who, they are bad and wrong and stupid. I almost forgot. I might need you to post the exact same thing another 1,630 times, just to make sure it sinks in.
  12. Yeah, that's fake. The fakers all seem to assume this will look like any other UCS set, packaging-wise.
  13. Which makes next year its 79th anniversary. Is that a major milestone a lot of people celebrate? I feel like it's not, but you seem very certain about this so you clearly know something I don't.
  14. Yes, it is pictured on the back of the August calendar. VIP early access is only ever done for D2Cs though, which this definitely isn't.
  15. The shift wasn't a reaction to sales one way or the other. It was always the plan that they would be LBR exclusives for the first three months and then branch out to other retailers.
  16. August.
  17. Oh heck yes I would be all over that
  18. You should probably just Bricklink her now then.
  19. Currently: 1. Assembly Square 2. The Ultimate Batmobile 3. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum 4. Carousel 5. Pizza Van By the end of the year... well, I can't reveal that just yet. But I bet Ninjago City will be up there.
  20. Retailer exclusives like the Sanctum always have shorter shelf lives, so it's not necessarily "evidence" of anything. I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see him turn up again though.
  21. I don't know for sure what the D2C is but I'm reasonably confident it's not the Fortress of Solitude.
  22. I'm very curious about the Ninjago series now that Ninjago City has been revealed; there are some pretty interesting character designs. Considering almost all the (first wave) sets have been revealed now, I feel like the minifigure series can't be too far behind, right?
  23. Clue? No, that only has seven characters if you count Mr. Boddy. Besides, Hasbro owns the rights.
  24. I have a sneaking suspicion I'm going to go broke next year.
