  1. Female Faun - got to be
  2. Ooh I like Castle, it's my favourite theme; I look forward to seeing your moc when complete.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks, @Omega X! Pleased to meet you. What sort of mocs do you make?
  4. May I ask... will Castle fans be happy at this Historical minifigure, do you think?
  5. I'm just so excited for it. I won some money at work, enough to cover this purchase, and I'm currently deciding whether to buy on day 1 or wait for a good offer at the Lego store. Good dilema to have I know. Now I need some extra for the Medieval Blacksmith too.
  6. Does anyone have a clue when this set will be unveiled? Seems like an eternity since it was announced.
  7. Added Hidden Greek Temple by DutchLegoMan: I was also browsing through older entries and found one that I'd missed when I created this thread. Whoopsie. Medieval market by lennert476:
  8. @Boomchil This was a fascinating insight into the differences and some nice trivia, thank you! I received several pieces to this set in a lot I bought and I'm currently rebuilding it, so this is good to know.
  9. Welcome to Eurobricks, @Jcreations912! I'm glad you took my invitation to join us here. I hope your project, LEGO Robin Hood, gets to 10k quickly! It's a great idea and we discussed it somewhat earlier in this very thread. I also added your earlier creation, The King's Castle Gatehouse, ages ago. Another worthy idea.
  10. Based on the leaked pictures, I have lost 100% of my interest in this theme and it hasn't even been announced yet. How did we get from a potential Castle/Pirate theme to this? Glad we have other options for those two themes now.
  11. @povoq I agree with most of your theories on the redesign. I also think that your own submission will be the next Castle set to be approved. It's gaining support akin to the rate of The Pirate Bay.
  12. I am so happy that this is being made. At last, Castle fans have *something* significant to look forward to. I have added a note to the index and also @Digger of Bricks I've added The Mountain Windmill by Hanwasyellowfirst, thanks.
  13. I'll update the index when I get home. It's great news.
  14. At last! We have something new. I'm so excited!!!
  15. Cthulhu big-fig. I want.
  16. Welcome to Eurobricks, @PreVizsla! How about that Jones vs Reyes judge call huh? I had Reyes winning at 3-2. Anyway, pleased to meet you.
  17. As pointed out by @thenightman89 over in the Ideas thread; the results of the latest Ideas review will be in a couple of days and Namirob's excellent Medieval Blacksmith is one of the designs in contention. Let's hope that it wins! We Castle and Historical fans deserve this.
  18. @Gomek Some great points there. I think you make a great point is suggesting (if I read right) that Lego has more offerings to stop kids falling into the Dark Ages now. On another note, I think that even if it happens that the AFOL market is smaller than some of us think, that doesn't mean it can't grow into a large market, given some encouragement. I don't want to derail this topic, but if TLG made military sets, they'd make a killing to the adult fan-base. And yes, I know - that won't happen, they've said it themselves; I'm just stating an area they're neglecting.
  19. Check out this lovely Idea; LEGO Robin Hood by Jcreations912: And here's his own video showcase:
  20. Then I wish they'd stop saying that they care about AFOLs and that they're pursuing that market. I can't remember who said it, but someone mentioned that when TLG says AFOL, they probably mean *new* adult fans of Lego, rather than existing customer base (i.e. us); which is probably why they've just announced a new range of Lego books that hold pieces to create flowers etc.
  21. @danth Re: your other replies. Seems I'm not going to convince you and vice versa, so I'm happy to leave it at that. But... This is where you misunderstand my intent. I actually believe that the AFOL community is much larger than most speculate it to be, so trying to dismiss that argument is not in my own interests. I want Lego to take existing AFOLs seriously so that they'll cater to that market.
  22. Further to my comment above, I have now read in full the new Terms & Conditions of Bricklink. Re: Your MOCs. In short, if you upload them to Bricklink, they own the rights, but you can profit from selling instructions etc (which I presume you could do before). I also found this part interesting: "BrickLink Commission: As compensation for making the Site available to designers, BrickLink reserves the right in the future to take a percentage of the Design Fee as a commission or transaction fee, including with respect to designs that are already available. In such event, you will have the right to remove Your Designs from the Site or establish a new Design Fee for Your Designs." Future plans perhaps; I'm not sure. But they're covering themselves well.
  23. Welcome to Eurobricks, @mout173! Pleased to meet you.
