Yes the short black and blue legs were available. UK though.
Especially the weird white guy on the left. I picked up two :)
They also had the pink Elephant parts in the UK store.
He's turning a Star Wars quote into a funny take on the Leaf Lego theme and it's surrounding leaks. I take it you're not into Star Wars?
Anyhoo, like he said, his blood sugar is high :)
I'm not sure of this is already common knowledge at this point, but I saw the new DC series in my Lego shop in the UK this evening and they're £3.49, not the usual £3.
I'm not sure about on the continent in Euros.
I can confirm that the above Ice parts are available in the UK BAM (not pre-packed figures). Also, one of the Chinese torso pieces and pink elephant etc.
So sick of hearing this. Being a father, I know that kids enjoy castle themed toys (and not just Lego). My boy, some of his friends... Castle is as popular as it ever was.
Secondly, it is possible to make a theme that mainly sells to adults, alongside their more kid-friendly offerings. The existence of one does not disclude the other.
The year was 1996; I was but a fresh faced youth discovering money and girls for the first time, and watching Caribbean Uncovered on Sky One. Listening to this song pulls me back to those times and to my searches through small geek shops around London and especially Soho.
"Life is what you make it, some say, but I know that jah has a role to play..."
I was thinking of an educational generic history theme, but then why would Pirates be in there?
So then I thought that the common link in a singular theme between Pirates and Castle, for example, is Lego - so perhaps a Lego History celebration theme? That way they could touch upon all of the great Lego themes of the past and appeal to every AFOL that wants that itch scratched.
Maybe a tie-in to Heroes Unboxed?
