Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Lobot replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi, yes it's quite easy, here's a video which I found a while ago ( ) -
Hi Wonderpants, it looks like you got a good deal there, congratulations! I doubt that you'd have been able to Bricklink one for any less at the moment, especially as it has the Dark Red 6 x 14 plate plus the Yellow 5 x 5 Technic Right Angles. I'll look forward to seeing your final version

Hi Negronicus, and welcome to Eurobricks! For future reference, there's a general SW Q&A thread pinned to the top ofthe forum; I'll merge this with it in a bit Re: your question, the current 'Death Star Final Duel' (75093) is one of my favourites, although if you're looking for a good range of Minifigures 'Mos Eisley Cantina' (75052) is definitely worth considering. Cheers, Robin -
It's quite fun to build, and I doubt that you'll get bored with it! However, it is very 'delicate' at several points during the construction, and when you start to attach the lower exterior sections it gets really unbalanced (I resorted to pushing it against a convenient wall to stop it falling over!). Also, watch out for the two identical 'unfinished' sections, as they aren't that stable and I ended up having to re-build one of them after I'd picked it up to move it and it quickly dis-assembled itself across my floor! And, finally, the attachment of them to the main frame is best described as 'challenging' (especially the lower one); take your time and plan each movement before you attempt to attach it!

Hi dwong, I think that Nom's correct. For future reference there's a general SW Q & A thread pinned to the top of this forum; I'll merge this with it in a bit Cheers, Robin -

Hi, you may find this thread interesting, I really enjoyed Bricklinking it
-
Congratulations, it's a great model. However, be careful with it as it's very fragile....in fact, I'd recommend that you don't go anywhere near it when it's completed!
-
Please can we avoid discussions about the merits of PT/OT, which films AFOLs prefer, or possible fitness regimes. It's fine to discuss re-releases etc, and whether the new versions are improvements or otherwise, but please keep this thread for 2015 sets and rumours
-
That's a great solution Gerechtigkeitsliga, excellent work! And, the modified Falcon is beautiful, the blue sections really add to it
-
Hi Pat There's a dedicated thread for 10179 modifications (link here); I'll merge this thread with it in a bit. Cheers, Robin

Hi OldVagrant and welcome to Eurobricks! For future reference there's a general SW Q&A thread pinned to the top of this forum. I'll merge this with it in a bit Re: your question, personally I prefer the old ones, but that's just me! -
Impressive, most impressive! Excellent work Disco86, it's crammed with some amazing details but I particularly like the illuminated generators and the statue.

I've own a 7965 and it's a great little model, and quite fun to build. To be honest it's a far better version than 4504, in particular the landing feet don't fall off! I'll be interested to see the new version, assuming that the rumours are correct; I guess it will be similar to it, possibly with the new dish and a few upgrades. As Solscud007 mentioned, there seems to be a general trend of re-releases being smaller, so time will tell

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Lobot replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It just looks ugly in my opinion. I'm not a fan of the Clone Wars, so I'm probably a little biased, but I wouldn't want to own it at any price! -
Thanks just2good, it looks a nice set. I can't quite see how it's supposed to have a RRP of €99.99 though, which is going to be around £75. I might be tempted at a significant discount, but otherwise it's an easy pass for me.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars sets?
Lobot replied to Loco de Lego's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I don't think I can single out one particular set as being the worst, but here are a few of my front runners: 7111 Droid Fighter (1999) 8008 Technic Stormtrooper (2001) 7664 TIE Crawler (2007) 7680 The Twilight (2008) 8015 Assassin Droids Battle Pack (2009) 8985 Freeco Speeder (2010) 7957 Sith Nightspeeder (2011) 75024 HH-87 Starhopper (2013) -
Great work AC, the lighting is absolutely perfect I'm not sure that I could do that to my minifigures though!
-
I must be getting old, but that looks awful! Mind you, I never liked anything Bionicle either, it's just doesn't have a LEGO feel about it somehow
-
Please can we keep this thread on track in future Whilst it's fine to mention the possible cost of the new sets, any discussions about price differentials, exchange rates and living costs aren't really appropriate.
-
Hi ArmstrongYong, and welcome to Eurobricks! There's already a 'Future Star Wars Sets' thread (link here); I'll merge this thread with it in a bit. Cheers, Robin

(2015) May The 4th Be With You Offers - Discussion thread!
Lobot replied to Lobot's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hi, it may be worthwhile contacting Customer Services about it. If you look at the US website it's showing in stock (link) so there may be a glitch somewhere! -
Thanks BrickCommander, it's always interesting to hear from the designers. I'm really pleased that the Slave 1 has been such a commercial success, although to most OT fans of a certain age it was always going to be one of the sets to own, so perhaps it wasn't that surprising Whilst I can understand about the issues with the Nebulon B, it is possible to replicate in LEGO as demonstrated by both LDiEgo and mortesv, although it's likely to be a higher risk commercially than the Slave 1. I'd really love a new UCS Star Destroyer though, as much as I like the original it's well overdue for an upgrade!
-
Thanks NNOPMOC, it's most impressive! I never get tired of looking at MOC Executors, it just shows how good the official UCS version could have been! Do you have any photos of the underside and engines? If you don't mind me asking did you sell this on Ebay a couple of years ago, I seem to recall seeing something very similar?
-
I don't think that this fits neatly into any of the existing threads, as it seems to be more of an observation than anything, so I'm happy for it to stay as it is. It's always a difficult balance to strike; we try to keep anything similar together as it helps to keep the volume of threads to a manageable level, otherwise there's a strong probability that because of the higher turnover of threads some would be 'buried' very quickly and members may miss the opportunity to view them. However, if there's something genuinely new we'll normally allow it to remain. Cheers, Robin
