  1. I love your car! Mini was my first car, what a fun! That rear suspernsion is really nice, very appropriate for this scale. Lets see how it works wit a complete body. About the engine, check other TC18 threads, there are solutions where the crankshaft is made out of smaller pieces, maybe you can build a smaller engine that fits!
  2. Well, nowadays to build a B-model you have to download the instructions from TLG. That means that TLG has a pretty good idea of how many people actually download B-model intructions compared to the sells they make of each set. Now, dowloading does not mean bulding, for sure, only a part of the downloaders will actually build it. I think someone else overhere mentioned only 50% of the people builds B-models. I beleave it is much less. B-models cost to produce, they don´t come for free.... Having this in mind, not producing B-models seems to be a good management decision, ... I pity that, but one has to understand it....
  3. It really looks very cool! A lot of nice details in the body... even pedals!
  4. Very nice and looks similar to the elder brother greyhound! It´s still a baby, only one light on the roof
  5. This is really nice! It probably would go very well on top of my TC18 entry chassis!
  6. And yes, foldable wind screen was on my thoughts, it even might be simple! But I am still not happy with the chassis, it uses a lot of space.... We still have some time so I will work a bit more on that. Unfortunatelly the only other technic dude I have is the one with the grey electronic eye...
  7. Thank you! I like the chassis too, but it is a bit hard to build a car on top of it. It might be easier for a unimog like vehicle.
  8. Long time no post.... The original chassis is very good but it is very bulky.... So I tried to reduce it´s size: The size reduced a lot! On top of that chassis I made this: It is a bit difficult to build around such big drive trains...
  9. Veny nice usage of these in the engine! I am learning a lot of things with this contest!
  10. I like very much the front drivetrain. And the engine!
  11. That is very interesting. You might even be able to put a diff in the middle of that! The flex hoses, seems a very good ideia, I immediately whent to try it! But they look very stiff, at least the ones I have ...
  12. Some progress today. It now has an engine. Some inspiration from fellow competitors, thank you to them! Best Regards!
  13. Hi, Today I played a bit with engines. Not very useful for my MOC, it is too big, but still it is a W12, so I decided to share with you anyway... I tried with bushes and two half bushes but it looks like a hedgehog. The problem is that it needs an empty space between each piston so that the pistons don't mix together in the engine interior.
  14. You use the weight of 2L beams to move the pistons back. Ingenius!
  15. Nobody is allowed for more than 0.1Mb. You have to put your pictures somewhere else and past the link to it here. 800x600 max. I use bricksafe, it is cool, but flickr, <whichever>drive... all will do. There is a topic about pictures somewere in the forum. Ok, subtractor in the undercarriage, motors above. Seems cool!
  16. This is really cool, I love the rear suspension and the gear shift stick! About the roof, hey its a convertible, it has both options! Just make a stand-alone wind shield to the open version.
  17. To me, the first one is nicer. But probably you should have it vertical up until about the height of the engine and, only then, some inclination. The second one is too vertical and has an older look...
  18. Very very nice! So the subtractor is inside the rotating platform and there are two axles going, down one for each track. Pictures please! Also show us the tensioner from the tracks. By the way, are you commanding it with the lego app? Since you´ve used all the motors...
  19. Very nice, I like the lines of it very much!
  20. Thank you! Wow describes pretty well what I felt :-) Look at the 4th image on my previous post, the "From above:" one. Steering is done by the black 2x4 L-Shape Thick liftarms. Next to it, you have a red 1x4 Thin liftarm. That is the return to center thing. When you turn to, say, left, the right 2x4 black liftarm will bend the 1x4 thin liftarm. It is also very useful to avoid the tires to touch the structure. Thank you! Yes, but also a challenge! The whole thing is so big that it uses much of the space... I mean, the diff is the same size of the rims, that is a bit ridiculous ... and the center diff, is a almost inaccessible because of the steering axle... Well, this is only prototype 1, lets move forward, weekend is comming!
  21. Ok, so I have been playing with the idea of a 15L wide front drivetrain with 43.2x22 wheels, diff, steering and suspension. And I did it. It even includes a kind of return to center feature. It is so cool that I built a prototype 4x4x4 chassis, with a central diff too. Chek it out: From below: From below: From above: And a video: Tell me your opinions.
