New Akiyuki module! :) Instructions can be bought here: https://www.planet-gbc.com/gbcmodule-akiyuki-poledancingquartet Sadly, quite the price hike over when he was selling the instructions himself. Great to see him building again!

The way the balls leave the sliding hoppers really makes this module! Great find! It is basically the top tier of Japanese GBC Creators coming together.

[TC23] Serpentine
Ankoku replied to Akassin's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That is a damn fine looking module! I will most certainly be building it! I backed up the IO file here: https://bricksafe.com/files/Ankoku/akassin/serpentine-gbc-module/TC23 GBC.io Mainly because the above Google Drive link treats the IO file as a zip file (Which it is) and thus shows you the contents which sit within that, rather than just showing you the IO file. Thanks for making the IO file available! I hope it does well in the contest! It deserves to! -

IO file is fine. Consider leaving a version which is still the studless variant. Some people prefer things studless. And yes, I appreciate your point when it comes to not wanting to release an unfinished version. There is a difference between a version for a competition and a version you will see built by others. I suspect if you do put an IO file out there at some point, you could well end up seeing this at events which have a GBC run. -

I hope you do instructions for this. The motion is really satisfying! -
Having the ball run down, along the inside, seems really nice and pleasing. The motor changing speed pushing them up, no so much.

For my Ball Factory at the moment, I have used longer tubes and only rotates 540 degrees on the spiral lift.

You should probably add a video. Although isn't this more appropriate in the Akiyuki train thread?

I wonder how many people started the Ball Factory, but never got it working properly.

The issue is, I started with the Ball Factory. Others may start with the Invisible Lift and neither are good as your first GBC. Although you can get both working pretty well in the end, it isn't the easiest of tasks. So it is worth appreciating that the front page can be the page that someone, who is new to GBC, visits to decide what they want to build as their first GBC. People like me, would probably still do the Ball Factory first, but hopefully we can convince others to start with something different.

I was wondering about putting next to each module on the front page, how reliable it is. e.g. Catch & Release and Pinball are very GBC event friendly. The Step Module is not very event friendly, but fine for home use. Others, just aren't that reliable. Might be worth those with experience with them to kinda give them a grade.
