And someone was writing here, that there is no option to control pneumatic precisely. Of course, not as precise as using LA's, but not so bad at all. Hope we will get next year a nice flagship set (backhoe loader?) with a C+ units. It shouldn't be a problem to write an app.

Technic 2020 Set Discussion
blondasek replied to dimaks13's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Question, as I could miss that - is Lego said if there will be a controller for technic hub, ever? Because I am really afraid, that this will never happen, as it will be difficult to make a controller which will be able to control 4 functions at once, or at least two outputs under one "joystick". If no, that will be a really big duckup from TLG and I will seriously consider buying new sets only to put old PF with Sbrick (if wanted) and selling the Control+ electronic after. -

I really hope that PF-PU cables will not cost tons of money... -

I hope that after Lepin has been "terminated" and a few other small Lego-ish Chinese "companies" with it, Lego will do not hide official pictures for so long anymore. Or maybe even start a nice habit to sneak-peak some small parts of the incoming sets to keep the wheel spinning. -
Heh, just joking around :) Honestly I do not think there will be a B model. Looks like UCS set.

Everything is a toy, depend of your point of view ;) Waiting for 10k technic set! To defeat SW fans.

@MikeTwo9398 hah, well, they are paying me to be ready. And to know what to do when it will be needed. Read: IT.

I would rather be happy to get "small", compact model with RC pneumatic. Maybe bulldozer with a size around 4/5 Arocs (best would be in the same scale)? I would like to see something like that instead of bigger and bigger models with the functionality of the smaller one. Ooops! It is not the Technic discussion ;) Pardon. Of course I am waiting for that model, I will definitely buy it for reasonable ~300 euro, bo until that - not worth the money from technic point of view. For sure good set for collectors and people who loves to display the models.

@MikeTwo9398 I had two 3l pins after finishing the bags for the steps ~738, maybe indeed there was one more later on :) Thank you for clarification here. I was building my model at work and thankfully I had 42079 next to me so I could "borrow" that 2 pins with axle :)

I would like to thank you very much for your modifications efferman and MikeTwo9398 - works like a charm! Only one question @MikeTwo9398 - I took 4 pins with axle, however somehow (and I am pretty sure I did not make any mistake) I needed 6 (two 3l pins left). That is weird and I am wondering if I used 2l pins with axle somewhere instead of 3l pins or maybe I had two 2l pins with axle less than I should in the set. Not a big problem tho.

@Ngoc Nguyen I really hope that it will not be a case here.. they are producing the engines for a long time already and having only one type of motors (L) + Servo from two really expensive sets will be a really big disappointment for me. @AVCampos well I do not like the new Servo, but we will see. However I really hope that Technic version of M motor will be stronger than the one from Bat. -
There will be 6 functions (2 engines for propulsion). Almost the same we had in 8043 if we consider that switching between modes is a function :)

Technic 2019 Set Discussion

We are "talking" a lot about the hubs, but I am also interested of what kind of engines will be used. The same "M" boost motors as we have already? Or maybe engines with the same power as PF M/L/XL (in Lib XL and M, in SUV L + Servo)? I hope TLG will surprise us and motors will be at least as powerful as the older one. -

I grabbed Bugatti for 70 euros less on 13th of June (hah I still remember that date :D) as there was a sell out night in local Lego store in the city where I am living currently. As they have once per year whole stock -30%, I think I will grab 42100 for fairly good price of ~310 euro. Still I am not so happy that they are going so high in terms of price - specially that the "new system" could easily work with whole PF line... The only thing they could do is the HUB. But TLG is really greedy lately. -

There is only one, big minus - most likely the new hubs will not allow to control more than one motor connected to one output. I am not sure if we will not be able to set one "slider" from the app to two motors at the same time, but it will take two outputs instead of one. And yeah.. the price is cosmic. I am not sure if Lego is not crossing the no return point with that. Next supercar for 500 euro?.. -

Not necessary - it would have at least 5 engines -> 3 functions. I really do not think that Lego would use 2 battery boxes. But I will be highly disappointed if they will do it. -

That looks amazing! Also, it is not powerup, which sounds even better. -

@AVCampos I could agree if they would use it in 42095. Even if they will surprise us and provide a full AA battery PU box with 4 outputs it will be still not enough without an option to stack 2 motors to one output. Personally I do not like that system from the beginning, as the only thing TLG had to do was to add a line of battery boxes and a remote controlers with BT connection + the app. All PF motors are completely ok and they should be still in use. -

Ok, so far - so good. The option with 42099 beeing a nice RC set with PUP only sounds good if we will not forget about that it has only 2 outputs per battery box. And hardly scalable remote controlers. I highly doubt that TLG would provide some bigger battery box with 4 outputs, as we already know that you cannot stack the engines (maybe some kind of hub could be an option here?). So I am guessing, that 42099 will be using PF, maybe with servo even and can be the last Technic model with it. But without any new PUP parts and option to stack the engines I don't have any idea what they will do next. PS. I really hope that 42098 will come without any car, so the truck itself will be more detailed and maybe with a trailer (but knowing TLG it will be in the Mack scale not Arocs and it will be just a long car with a 3-4 mini cars).
