  1. Just had a look, should be the 11th.
  2. Glad to finally see the whole set, all the figs are pretty well done. On the whole, I still personally would have gone for some different characters in some instances, but it's worth it for that Captain America figure alone. Simply beautiful. So glad his wings look as good as they do. Cap, Wanda and (probably) Spidey are the ones I'm looking to pick up. May also consider getting Monica and Loki at some point (I just like his goofy smile tbh). The rest though, good as they are, aren't really of any interest to me.
  3. I know people aren't all that fussed about the SE Avengers, but was talking with a co-worker today about how he'd picked up the Lego superheroes magazine featuring the comic Captain America fig and it inspired me to look up who the freebie is for the next mag - and it's the new War Machine from the helicarrier! Which means, hopefully, his price on the second hand market should drop significantly. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was interested.
  4. Definitely. While I do like this fig I'm still hoping for a comic Vision down the line with a red face printed on a green head (or MCU if he gets his colour back). But considering how much red is in MCU Vision's design, I do understand why they went the way they did. Just looks a bit strange to me. Ha, nevermind then! As I said, I've completely forgotten what the descriptions were. Thanks.
  5. You're probably right. Just curious how torn they'd make, say, his arms. Considering there are so many Caps incoming I'm sure between the 4(?) of them we'll be able to figure something out.
  6. After the first Vision pic I wasn't a fan. Especially because it reinforced my belief that he needs some sort of headpiece or at least less of an abrupt stop around the edges of his face. But this new picture is so much better. I think I'm slowly coming round to all the figures we've seen so far (even Wanda's goofy hair is growing on me!). Pretty indifferent about Sylvie but I may try and pick up all the rest. Zombie Cap is the one I want to see the most now, if only because it'd be cool if you could take his limbs and make the perfect regular Cap (I can't remember what the description said he'd look like).
  7. I second Smyth's (or at least I think it was Smyth's - might have been the Entertainer). I once saw the Falcon for almost £100 off there once. It was a while after it released, but it's worth keeping an eye out.
  8. That Cap really is quite beautiful. The new picture definitely helped. I was previously thinking that the arms could do with more white (it's not inaccurate, but it's kind of an Endgame Captain Marvel situation), but this new picture doesn't make that seem so necessary.
  9. Decided to go back and have another look at the comments under MandR's post. Ticked off a few more! So far, I've got: 'Too expensive! Too big! Rah, Disney! Not enough figures (x1000000000)! Not the clone I wanted! And too many studs!' I did find one that could be construed as 'Repeated mistake', but I think that's all we're going to get. Good game @jdubbs, it's been fun.
  10. Looks good. Not a set I'm particularly interested in myself, but it's a beautiful model. Are we playing Bingo yet? First post I saw was MandR's, but I didn't do so well. It's just all complaints about figures. A couple of comments that could pass for price and size complaints at a push, but overall, figures aside, people seem pretty positive?
  11. That fig looked a bit off to me at first but I think that's just the picture itself rather than the figure. After looking at it a bit I quite like it. Was curious to see how they'd do his hair, seeing as half of it is covered by his mask and I think this is a good solution. And as others have said, it'll be a good hairpiece for Blade. I hope the wings do the figure justice. But if not I still have the Civil War wing piece.
  12. I understand that. I'm just saying, to me, the more detailed these Spider-Man figures get (extra torso printing, extra leg printing, arm printing, etc), the more his lack of boot printing, possible or not, stands out. Especially because it's more noticeable than unprinted hands, or a dual moulded torso. It's like the Endgame Iron Man figure. IMO, the full gold arms and the printed gold on the legs stand out more because they contrast slightly. If that's the best they can do, that's fine. And I appreciate how much things have progressed (especially this year) but until the boot printing becomes possible, it will always look a little off to me.
  13. Pretty cool figs. But that Spidey figure really does make me yearn for printed boots. The extra detail is nice (and has been on all the Spider-Man figs this year imo), but the more detailed it gets, the more the boots contrast with the rest of the costume. I understand it's probably pretty difficult to accomplish, but to my eye it always makes the figure as a whole look a little off. The exceptions being perhaps the Homecoming suit and the FFH suit (although I'd have to see the latter in person to be sure).
  14. Pretty cool sets. As everyone's said, the figures are amazing. I really like that new Spider-Man head with the tinted lenses. Also, I don't know what it is about the MCU Spider-Man figs, but their dual moulded legs/boots look so much less plain than the comic variants, despite the fact neither have web printing. For that reason, I may have to get that FFH suit to replace comic Spidey on my Bugle. Vulture too, such a great update. Also wondering if that monster is Scorpion. Maybe Gargan gets transformed by something in the Sanctum? Between the pincers and the colour scheme, it seems like too much of a coincidence to be a random Lego creation (although it almost certainly is just that).
  15. Shoulders down: great figure. But that head/hair... Not for me. I was only really interested in Captain Falcon, Scarlet Witch and President Loki. But since one of those isn't happening and another is what it is, I guess Sam is now the only figure I actually want.
  16. I don't know about that. While in Ragnarok he is shorter than the Hulk, in Endgame, in the cabin at least, he seems to be taller than (Professor/smart) Hulk, who obviously was still a big fig. So I think a big fig would be appropriate (I'd be fine with the Nexo Knights suggestion as well). Although as I said, I wouldn't expect that here, because I agree he'd then be too big for the set.
  17. Yeah, I don't love the Korg fig. Not meaning to restart any debates but I think to make him accurate he should be a big fig with a moulded head. HOWEVER, within the context of this set, which I love, I think it works well enough. A big fig would be very out of place here. Love how much detail is packed into the set. Awesome and very fun little display piece. Miek also looks hilarious, in a good way.
  18. I do like the look of that Slave I, but those pictures just confirm it's too small for me (not a complaint - I get why it is and I dig these cheaper alternatives, but I'd just prefer something bigger). Still like the Boba fig a lot, but those pictures really do highlight the contrast between the helmet and the armour. I'll keep on searching for a good deal on one of the older ones, and maybe in that time TBoBF will get sets with an updated helmet. And if not, he'll just remain helmetless!
  19. I would quite like to see 1-2 sets based on this. Maybe their new take on the Milano and something else (too early to say what else the game holds I guess). I am also one of the few who, like @cosmic, quite enjoyed the SE figs. I actually like the Iron Man, Cap A (the mech one), Cap M and Thor figs more than most of their MCU variants. Hawkeye and War Machine were cool too (but I don't have them). So I'd be curious to see what Lego do with the figs for this one. Hopefully alongside the main five they could also give us some other more comic accurate characters. And, as was previously mentioned, any opportunity to get Drax (and a green Drax at that!) is a plus in my book.
  20. Sounds pretty cool overall. But with Loki not being the President variant, I think I'm back to Captain Falcon and Scarlet Witch being the only ones I'm after. Keen to see the other ones though, if only because their parts could be used to improve prior figures (Captain America, mainly )
  21. The last part is the issue* I now face, I've been building a bigger Avengers Tower, and am considering turning the Sanctum into a modular. But I bet by the time I finish doing both those things they'll end up producing sets that blow my ones out of the water. *Although it's not really an issue because they've been fun projects regardless of what comes. edit: realised I didn't actually answer your question. I think it's a pretty cool set. If you can get it cheap without the figures then I say why not. Yeah, it's a shame really because that's the only part of the actual building that I don't love. I'll probably turn it into a dark room eventually. An archive is a pretty cool idea too! As for the printing press, putting it in a separate building isn't a bad idea. However, the Sanctum, Bugle and Avengers Tower sets fit perfectly in the empty space on my desk, but there's no room for anything else unfortunately. All my shelves are dedicated to SW.
  22. Yeah, the Loki fig was one of the ones I was looking forward to the most from the CMF and yesterday's ep cemented that. Also, finally finished building my Daily Bugle! Took longer than I expected but it was certainly an enjoyable experience overall. Some repetitive sections, but they were spaced out enough that it wasn't an issue. Final product looks very imposing, especially with the radio tower alone standing taller than the IW Sanctum set. Loved the way the various office appliances and details were constructed, and all the little Easter eggs are great. So much character packed into one set. I didn't have many non-Avengers comic figs prior to this so it was also great to be able to get so many of them in one go. Daredevil is the best figure in my opinion. Punisher is a close second but I did swap out his limbs hence why DD takes the top spot. Third place would probably go to Doc Ock due to his cool new arms. I must admit though, while the 60s Spidey office meme is amusing, I did find that floor to be rather lacklustre, both in build and content. So much so that I may take it out altogether (I think the Bugle might actually look a bit better next to the Sanctum if it's a bit shorter*). A dark room or printing press might have been more interesting. A couple of the figures could also be better. Robbie most of all. He's really only Robbie in name only. Different head and hair piece are definitely needed. I feel similarly about Gwen, but she's passable at least. I also personally could have done without the Spider-verse characters, and without Iceman, Firestar seems rather out of place. Still, I don't regret the purchase at all. It's the biggest Lego set I own, and I love it in spite of those minor criticisms. Going to have fun trying to make improvements where I can and finishing my Avengers Tower to go alongside it. I'd love to see more sets like this in the future. (Sorry for the essay ) *Also, I know someone mentioned ages ago that they wondered what the Bugle looked like next to the Sanctum. I can take pics at some point if you're still interested.
  23. I agree that regular green was the way to go with the new Boba armour. But from the sounds of his description, I may well end up displaying mine helmetless anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem!
  24. Someone's posted a picture in the usual place of a caped figure as a suggestion of what could be used for the Armorer. The cape itself is a bit longer than hers, but the front looks like it would work to me! edit: Legonoki is the person who posted the pic/suggestion.
  25. Firestar toys might be worth a look. I don't know if they do have Iron Man helmets specifically, but they do sell various minifigure parts/helmets/hairs. Might be a bit pricier than Bricklink though, I'm not sure.
