  1. Yeah that's quite disappointing. I'm more in it for the build than the figures but I feel like this was our best shot at getting a good Falcon figure (not that the other ones are bad, but the lack of short sleeves and overwhelming amount of grey makes them look a bit drab - Captain Falcon obviously not included in this). My main minifigure hope now lies in Vision having a green head with red printed onto it rather than vice versa. Also, was it ever confirmed to be the AoU tower? The side builds and potentially time travelling Captain America figure makes it seem like it could be the A1 tower. Sorry if that's already been covered.
  2. Outside of the X-Mansion I don't have high hopes for new, well designed figures. Especially at that X-Jets price to part ratio. But tbh, as long as Jean Grey shows up in some form I'll be happy. I'd like all the X-Men, but just being able to put the main 4 together (or at least the main movie 4) without having to pay thousands for that Comic Con Phoenix, will sate me for now. Finally managed to pick up Beast in the CMF also. Along with a second Kate Bishop and a 4th Mr Knight (for a grand total of 6 Moon Knight variants all in all). These blind boxes are killing me.
  3. Happy Birthday! I was mostly after the same as you. Managed to get both Knights and Hawks, Wolverine and Werewolf. I'm looking for She-Hulk and wouldn't mind the other X-Men (more Beast than Storm) but I think I've given up for now. The last few times I've only managed to get repeats. 3 Goliaths, a second Wolverine and Mr Knight, all of which I sold only to then pick up another Mr Knight later that day.
  4. Does anyone remember the layout theory about where each figure was in the box of CMFs (or how far back in the discussion it was)? I vaguely remember looking at it and thinking the figures I wanted most were in the corners. Whenever I see a box out I'll grab a couple, and so far I've managed to get 4 of the 6 I really want, 1 I'm happy to have... And 3 Goliath's, which I do not want. But I'm just wondering if I'm lucking out (Goliath's excluded, but I think they've all come from somewhere in the middle or emptier boxes) or if there's some merit to it. Edit: Having looked it up (and bought some more) after work, I can see that it was just luck.
  5. I mean, of course I am. That's the main reason I wanted the fig. My excitement was just dampened by Goliath. Further update: Saw some in Sainsbury's on my lunch break and got Wolverine and the other Hawkeye. Another update: Went shopping after work and walked past the CMFs in Asda and they've been raided. What was left was just a bunch of partially opened boxes. That didn't take long. Even worse I got a second Goliath.
  6. Just found the CMF in Asda. Picked some up blindly so excited to see what I get. I'd love that personally. In fact, more Marvel modulars on the smaller side would be very welcome. I love seeing the massive sets but after Avengers Tower I don't know if I can realistically keep buying these anymore. Unless I get a significantly better paying job and buy a bigger house CMF Update: Got Hawkeye and Goliath Fine with the first but the second is one of the two figures I have no interest in.
  7. The excitement for the X-Jet was nice while it lasted. Tbh, as long as there's a Cyclops and Jean Grey I'll be happy. I won't buy it at that price to part ratio, but it would be good to finally have the main 4 X-Men readily available.
  8. Still quite excited for these, especially now we can actually see what we're getting. There's at least 6 that I'll be actively looking for (Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Wolverine, Beast, Hawkeye and Werewolf) but honestly if I accidentally picked any of the others up instead I wouldn't mind. I think it's a great wave. Except Echo, Goliath and Mr Knight - good figures but in the case of the former especially I'm not sure how interested I am in a costume I don't recognise. And after Secret Invasion idk how willing I am to follow all of these series anymore. I am a little disappointed that She-Hulk is standard minifigure height, but I didn't really expect otherwise. So pleased with that arm-printed Wolverine though. Justifies his inclusion imo.
  9. I would also like to see a dual moulded Iron Man (the difference in gold on the mk 85 (?) has always bothered me a little) however I feel like this of all years we could get the best of both worlds with the CMF providing new characters and the Avengers Tower giving us new versions of the core cast. I can't remember what's been confirmed but it's not outside the realm of possibility that Endgame Iron Man shows up in the tower thanks to the time travel scenes. I don't expect it to happen (not do I expect top quality figs after the Sanctum) but it could.
  10. I understand people's disinterest in this series but personally I quite like it. They aren't all the most interesting characters but they are new and different (except for Wolverine) which I appreciate. And they're not all from What If either, so I actually want more of these than I did the last series, even if that was a little more visually interesting. The Kang thing is a shame but as ToaDraco says he'll be showing up again. The only figures I'd would have preferred to see instead of what we got are Jean Grey, since the only way to get her officially is the SDCC figure, Cyclops because his figure could do with an update and maybe Ms Marvel. For now though I definitely want Moon Knight, the 3 X-Men, She-Hulk and Werewolf. Also interested in the Hawkeyes, but they're less of a priority. Agatha's a maybe. Echo, Goliath and Mr Knight, less so. But I'd still like to see them.
  11. Glad the proper leaks are starting to kick off. I'd like to see this again in person, but I don't think I'll end up getting it. It's cool but personally I'd prefer a classic one. As everyone has said it does look kind of stubby as well. Palpatine and Padme though? I'll be all over those two. Did we know Sheev had the dress piece?
  12. Wasp is a strange inclusion but I like that you get all the classic comic Avengers in there. Really hope the Vision has the red printed on a green head this time rather than vice versa. Hopefully Quicksilver is also in there. They say 'at least 22 figures' after all.
  13. Bit late to the party here but I'll throw my two cents in anyway. I've been intrigued by the NWH set since it was first rumoured, figured I wouldn't care for the build but I'd pick up the figures. Funnily enough I actually prefer the build. I have no space for it ATM so I won't get it but it's a nice set. The figures are hit and miss, but Electro is good, as is Ock (colour and hairpiece aside). Goblin as many have said is disappointing but I do like the Norman face print. I'll keep an eye on them on the secondhand market for sure. The Spider-Men are cool obvs but after the Sanctum figure I've been spoiled with the leg printing and I'm not sure I can go back haha
  14. Been monitoring eBay for the new Luke and Mando. I miss the pre-Covid days when figures from new sets were listed at somewhat reasonable prices rather than just jumping straight to £30+ I forget, would the new hair piece ever show up on Pick a Brick or do they forgo all listened pieces?
  15. That's a fantastic deal. Plus an extra £20 for members. If I was a bit more liquid might now I might of considered it.
  16. There's nothing out that I'm after at the moment but I would find $85 of sets to get for a Nien Nunb figure.
  17. Seems interesting enough. For those who don't want to look: Lobby(?)/elevators, Prison, Lounge, Armory, Laboratory, Office, Bar, Arc Reactor. I agree with Quicksilver838 though, the source is perculiar. I hope the Vision has a green head this time around. I can see myself spending the next 7 months trying to justify this to myself.
  18. I don't think so. Pretty sure One World Trade center (and maybe a few others?) beat it by some margin. Definitely should be taller than the comic book Bugle though. I'm very excited to see it but at that price I still don't think I can justify it unfortunately. Maybe one day... CMF is a nice surprise. I wanted She-Hulk, Moon Knight most of all and there they are. 2 Moon Knights seems redundant but they're fairly distinct characters and I know lots of people wanted them so that's cool. The X-Men is a great inclusion over What If but as has been mentioned the fact that 2 out of 3 are figures we've already seen before is a bit of a shame. We need a Jean Grey that doesn't cost $2000. All in all, I may try and get every one of them bar Agatha, Echo and Mr Knight. Although I wouldn't complain if I accidentally picked them up!
  19. I feel the opposite way tbh, I'm glad that it looks in-line with the 2020 (?) TIE. I was put off the Bomber for that very reason. I do really like the look of this new set, but as others have said the figures are a bit of a let down. As for all the rest of it, idek what to think anymore. Gunship: I hope this one is true most of all. I've always wanted at least one iconic ship from each of the films and AotC is the only slot that's missing. I've never brought myself to buy the retired ones so this is perfect. Padme and Palpatine are an added bonus. Swamp Speeder: I was only interested in this when Rex was rumoured for it. I'm happy for hardcore clone fans but Rex > Vaughn for me. Which brings me to... The Venator: Can't wait to see it (if true) but it's out of my budget. Again, happy for everyone who wanted this but heartbroken that this is where Rex finally shows up. Most believable part of this whole leak haha. Ghost: Cool and long overdue. But now I have the UCS Falcon them being so hilariously out of scale would bother me if they were both on my desk. I am still kind of skeptical, but with FalconFan backing it and that weird concept leak a month or so ago who even knows what's going on with Lego anymore.
  20. In theory I wasn't sold on the idea of this set but in reality it's really nice to see something a little different from the SW line. Figures are great, love the simplicity of the Darksaber (the custom moulds are cool but they don't look much like Lego lightsabers) and that Bo-Katan is awesome. May have to buy this one to lurk in the backstreets of my Mos Eisley display.
  21. Interesting! I haven't really been part of the discourse because I've only watched 2 episodes of this season. Makes sense though, Rebels took some time to win people's hearts. Although my friends don't sound like they're going to give Bad Batch a chance to get to that stage tbh. I still wonder how much that interest will translate into an increase in sets considering Mando only seems to be getting 2 sets and a microfighter this season and that's one of the most popular shows around.
  22. One of my friends went out at the crack of dawn to grab us a couple each. Can't wait to add them to my collection. We both keep seeing people posting pictures of them buying their towns entire stock so I imagine this issue will disappear fairly quickly. As for the Bad Batch, genuine question, is it generally quite popular? Do the sets sell well? I can only speak anecdotally, but in my nerdy group of friends there's only two of us who are willing to watch it and even we're pretty behind. I assume we will get more sets at some point, but between the Rebels blunder, the fact that I can't see one of the two prior sets being that popular (the Justifier), the sheer amount of current SW content and (potentially!) a lesser interest than there was in Clone Wars and Rebels (?), I wonder how many there will actually be. I could just be talking megablocks though so please do correct me if I'm wrong.
  23. Can't wait to get that new printed helmet. Strange that they release so far apart though. Especially considering the show will be ending in May anyway. Also strange that the new set releases on May 5th... Surely it would be better to get new sets out before Star Wars day?
  24. That would actually be a really cool way to give an in-universe justification for including villains. I don't really buy many DC sets (I have some figures and a Batmobile or two) but considering how SW and Marvel are turning out this year this may be my big Lego purchase for 2023. Very excited to see it.
  25. Glad it's (maybe) finally here. I had planned to always support the Marvel modulars but at that price maybe not... At that price and piece count though I bet it'll be a beauty. At 1.5k more pieces than the Bugle, I wonder if it'll be significantly bigger or just more detailed?
