Marvel Superheroes 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
SEmrys replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
Hopefully Spider-woman and Spider-Gwen are indeed two different figures. I have no reason to believe otherwise, it just seems like one of those things where we all get our hopes up for Jessica Drew and it ends up being Gwen Stacy Also no mention of that second building. 4 days til we (supposedly) find out the truth of the matter. -

That Benatar is on another level. I think my imagination ran away with me a bit about how much interior there would be after the initial description, but from those pictures it looks like Lego's really delivered on what is there. Interior and exterior details are all amazing, and the figures are pretty sweet to boot. Still a shame about the lack of Drax or Nebula though. -

Looking at the back of the compound confirms my feelings on it. It's cool, but it is pretty sparse in terms of actual build. I keep flip flopping on Thanos. I'll have to wait and see what the second and prices are like. That Benatar though does not disappoint. Gorgeous. Can't wait to see the interior and some shots from other angles. And more figs than we were expecting in the Bugle? The 18th can't come soon enough! -

Thor and Wanda both look proper goofy grinning away on the corner of that box I think the Gauntlet and Iron Monger sets look the best, personally, even if the latter is way too big. Not really interested in the BP and 4+ sets but they're fine for what they are. The Final Battle actually got me interested when we saw the blurred pictures, but now I can see it clearly, I don't think it's for me. Thanos is cool, but there's something... Off about him. The compound doesn't really grab me either. Still, definitely a crowd pleasing wave. For now though I'm back to just seeking out the Benatar and Bugle. -

Yeah, I hope Robbie shows up. Looking at that lineup, the Bugle needs one or two more civilians otherwise it's probably still going to seem like a big empty building (good to see Betty on that list also, I'd forgotten about her inclusion). I'm liking what I'm seeing so far though. Blade is an unexpected choice, but he's also one of the few heroes who's had a solo film and no minifigures representation, so it'll be good to finally have him. If this does materialise. If he does show up then that just leaves classic Howard the Duck and Elektra (and the Fantastic Four, speaking generally - as well as characters like Man-Thing and Big Hero 6 if you want to dive into animated/direct-to-video). -

Chitauri aside, that sounds awesome. I liked the old one, but considering they seem to live on the ship it's good that we're getting a more expansive interior. Can't wait to see it! -

Good to know the Bugle release is (potentially) this month. That's the one I've been waiting for, although I am also now warming to the Final Battle. -

Final Battle looks a lot more like the previous Avengers Compound set than I thought it would (I figured they'd try do something different with it) but overall I like what I'm seeing. Shame about the pic quality. Can't wait to get a clear look at that Thanos. -

Oh wow that Greef figure looks amazing! I'm still not a fan of the oversized Stormtrooper helmets but if they keep creating new Stormtrooper variants like this one it may make it an easier pill to swallow. -

An alternate (but still blurry) pic of the shuttle is up in the usual place. Looks interesting, but still a no from me. Those figs without their helmets have got my attention though. Edit: And now there's a close up blurry promo shot of the helmet molds. Tech (?) looks pretty cool. -

Tbh, I'm happy with it purely because a) it has long hair, b) the beard print and the hair match up and c) it's not nougat. A beard piece would have been cool but I can live without it. -

Same! After today that's become the figure I want the most! Followed by SW and Loki, the rest I'm not so fussed by. -

I had high hopes for this series when it was first rumourered; me and a friend were discussing getting them all, and now that we know what it's made up of I think there's maybe... 1 or 2 figures that I definitely want? Oh well. They're interesting choices at least. And I also appreciate Ralph just dropping the whole line. Straight to the point. I respect that. -

More heroes that aren't Defenders is interesting (a bit of a shame though). Would be cool if it ended up being like a comic Dr Strange, Wolverine or Human Torch (or any other X-Men/FF characters Spidey's hung around with) but realistically I think the aforementioned Spider-Men and Women are a good bet. Maybe even an Iron Man -

Does this mean Black Cat is one of the six? Still seems to me like the usual suspects will be the ones we get, but with Black Cat instead of Carnage maybe. (so Venom, Goblin, Ock, Mysterio, Vulture & Cat) -

Add me to the list of people interested in the Benatar! In fact, of the Infinity Saga sets that's probably the only one I'll try and get (although that may change depending on individual minifig prices). I used to have the OG one but next to the Endgame Quinjet it just didn't feel big or imposing enough, so I sold it. I'm hoping/imagining this new one will be though. But it may not be for a while because the Bugle is my priority. -

Ah, cheers! I'll have a look now. Edit: Looks fine. Sort of a generic Lego 'tough guy' face. I'll stick with the plastered variant. -

That would be awesome. I have and love the current Giant Man from the Civil War set but those are a definite upgrade. Also, where is everyone seeing this new Punisher face? Is it in the usual spot, or is it on someone's story? I can't find it. -

Interesting figs. Cap is cool, but without those extra details y'all have already mentioned I'll probably just stick with the one from the mech. I like what they've gone for with the Punisher, but I might try and modernise mine a bit. Short sleeves, more militant legs, maybe a different hair piece, Idk. -

The way things are going, I'm starting to wonder if the 'sinister six' will be Goblin, Ock, Venom, Mysterio, Vulture and Carnage (ie. the 6 villains we get the most of every wave ). I'll set my expectations low and then be pleasantly surprised if they give us something new. I'm mostly in this for the build/new heroes anyway. -

That fig looks like some sort of robot approximation of Black Panther They've clearly put effort into it though, which is something. Even if it doesn't look all that accurate. Tbh, I think the best BP suit (and by extension minifig) was the Civil War one. And it's been downhill ever since. (although King T'Chaka's suit was also pretty sweet, shame we never got that in Lego) -

No worries, no apology necessary. My comment wasn't very clear. You're probably right though! Its speculation mostly. My reasoning was that.. 1) as you say, DD and Punisher are in it 2) someone previously said that the Bugle and/or CMF would make up for a 'series of missed opportunities'. And would explain why the other was the way it is (and as we now know, the CMF is Disney+ based), so it makes sense to me that the Defenders were being hinted at. 3) A leaker made a fake DB photo for April Fools and seemingly edited in Jessica Jones. So there are no proper rumours. But there's enough stuff there to keep my hope alive. True, pretty much every Spider-Man villain has been a part of the team at this point after all. -

Yeah, I was just wondering whether Lego would be of that mindset or if they'd count her as a villain. I also had a quick look through the various iterations of the Sinister Six, and only found one instance of Venom and Mysterio being on the team without Electro (Wikipedia says Ultimate Six had that line-up, but I don't remember that being the case unless it was a post-Secret Wars thing), so if a Sinister Six is included it's probably just their own handpicked line-up. -

Perhaps the 'sinister six' hint just means there are six villains, rather than them being a sinister six line-up? (and if so, what side of the law does Black Cat fall on in this instance?) -

My list of figs for the DB would be the following: 1. Spider-Man 2. Peter Parker 3. J. Jonah Jameson 4. Robbie Robertson 5. Betty Brant 6. Ben Urich 7. Daredevil 8. Punisher 9. Jessica Jones 10. Luke Cage 11. Iron Fist 12. Black Cat 13. Venom 14. Green Goblin 15. Doctor Octopus 16. Electro 17. Vulture 18. Sandman 19. Mysterio 20. Kraven When it comes to the villains I'll be happy with whoever, but I'm still holding out hope that the rest of the Defenders show up after that Jessica Jones/Jewel tease from a couple of days ago in that fake Bugle pic (I know it was April Fools, but still). I don't expect all of them to show up, but I imagine pretty much anyone who does show up will be on that list. If Lego were to do more of these, aside from the standard suggestions (Avengers Tower, Sanctum Sanctorum, X-Mansion, Baxter Building) I think it would be cool to see like a Wakandan or Latverian Embassy, maybe one of the labs Peter's worked at/been associated with in the past, and perhaps the Bar With No Name as a side building somewhere?
