  1. Price Per Part. These new details have me very intrigued. Left field choices and things that are worthwhile but not what anyone's asking for. Do sequels sets fit that bill? There's still a few TRoS things that need making.
  2. Ha, same. Here I was thinking Lego had done a decent job until I saw that picture. Tbh though, I think it's quite an ugly ship anyway so I'm not too fussed. I'm just happy about the £9 set. Two good figures for a very cheap price, plus some extra parts is alright by me. As for Gamora, it's a shame they didn't include her, but I saw a good purist of the video-game version using Proxima Midnight's torso, so now I know we're not getting an update I may just try and make that.
  3. I agree that there have been some good designs in the past few years, but I also kind of agree with Articulo as I would argue that there is something wrong here. Not with the designs, but with the concepts. They've got the whole Marvel universe to play with, but instead half of what we get is just mechs, characters/animals with Venom slapped on them, or vehicles with Spider-Man slapped in them. There's a distinct lack of imagination at play. Saying that though, I personally wouldn't go so far as to dismiss everything as garbage because there are some gems in this theme and I think they're definitely becoming more frequent as time goes on. But unfortunately so is all the above.
  4. Microfig Wasp is definitely a nice surprise, although I echo the sentiment that the lack of wings is a shame. At least it's something though. I'll definitely try and pick her up at some point to pair with the Civil War Giant Man.
  5. Yeah, you're probably right. And it's a cool idea, just not one I personally have much use for. Still glad the set exists though.
  6. I'm of the same mind. Glad the long awaited NWH set is finally coming but I have no real desire for the head of the Statue of Liberty by itself. Excited for the figures though. Hopefully the Goblin, Ock and Electro aren't too unreasonably priced second hand (although considering what's happened to prices recently I won't hold my breath).
  7. Ah that's a shame. I thought the Harry Potter set was cheaper than it is. I must have seen the price when it was on sale. Thanks anyway
  8. As in the giant Harry Potter minifigures or the Iron Man that fits into the Hulkbuster? If it's the former I don't hate it but the lack of minifigures is unfortunate.
  9. Glad to know that No Way Home is still in the running. Still reckon they could do a good Liberty Parlance based off those Harry Potter giant figures for $200. I imagine it'll end up just being a part of the statue though, if anything. Seeing as they've already done a Sanctum set, I guess other options would be the bridge (as many have mentioned), the woods and the apartment fight. Nothing else screams sets off the top of my head.
  10. I wouldn't even be annoyed if it turned out to be DC instead. They deserve it.
  11. You're definitely not alone in that. The figures are cool and I try to have some representation of all the 'main' Marvel characters, but with the exception of Daredevil and the Punisher I've definitely enjoyed the builds from these bigger sets more than the figures. In fact, I think I've sold pretty much all the figs from the MoM and Infinity War Sanctums. Eagerly awaiting whatever that $200 set is.
  12. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't we get a glimpse of part of the tower in Far From Home and it's already getting a pretty drastic renovation? I feel like whatever it ends up being it'll basically be a brand new building. I do think a swappable Stark/Avengers Tower would be cool, but for my wallets sake I hope whatever we get is around the same price as the Bugle (cheaper if possible, but I doubt they'd do it justice) and a swappable Tower would increase the price a fair bit.
  13. Yeah, that would have been a good workaround. Unfortunately at this stage, most of the shows I'd personally like to see coverage of are behind us. But if a What If CMF shows up in the future with Yellowjacket and Howard the Duck I won't complain.
  14. I think the What If figures are in a weird position where there are both not enough and too much at the same time. There need to be more to really build any sort of meaningful variant collection, but simultaneously they're a bit of a waste of space when there's so much else that could be chosen. I'm on the side of hoping they're not included. If we were going to revisit topics already covered in series 1 I'd really like a red/white costume Falcon. Although I'd be more than content with all the main characters from the series since then. I'd also be very much up for a comic CMF like @cosmic, but I wouldn't be surprised if that ever happened and it was just comic versions of your mainstays like Cap, Iron Man and Thor.
  15. How big would people want this theoretical statue of liberty to be? I watched a YouTube video earlier today where the YTer designed a NWH final battle set based on those giant Harry Potter figures. Replace the second fig with some scaffolding, a stand and a shield and you've got a pretty packed set for under £100 (if they were to price it similarly) . Unrelated, any new thoughts on the Quinjet? I'm planning on selling my Endgame one but I'm wondering if it's worth upgrading.
  16. Oh maybe, I'm just going off memory tbh. But yeah, different enough to be interesting, but similar enough that it wouldn't require too much effort on TLG's part. Hopefully they, and it, are more prominent next season so we can finally get him. At this stage he's shown up in a bigger variety of things than most other characters.
  17. Ah okay, thanks! I was referring to that green X-Wing at Saw's base. I doubt it'll happen now but a remake of a classic vehicle but with its own unique look seems like the sort of thing Lego would be all over. Especially when you consider Poe got 3 X-Wings, 2 for TFA alone. But considering how brief it was, I wouldn't be surprised if TLG didn't know it existed until the episode aired. Would have been a good opportunity for a long overdue Saw and Two Tubes to boot.
  18. Count me as someone who would also love to see more Andor sets, even though we probably won't until season 2. I do agree that Andor largely doesn't lend itself to toys outside of speeders and such, but was one ship that was featured in the last ten minutes of Episode 8 that I could have seen them making. If it came with the characters in that scene I think it would do quite well. (I forget how to do spoiler tags so I've kept it vague)
  19. Re: the Kuill conversation, just seen one on eBay for the first time for £59.95 ($66). Same for the Blurgg and Mythrol. Then the same person's selling Mando and Grogu together for £75 ($83). Curious to see whether other initial sellers follow that lead.
  20. 100% with you on that. I want to be able to support Marvel modulars every step of the way but as soon as it starts hitting those prices I'm probably going to have to dip out. Far as I'm concerned the only things I'd spend that sort of money on are iconic SW vehicles. And even then...
  21. I assume because both ships are silver in universe, so if they can do a good looking Razor Crest in grey they can do the NRS in grey as well. - Nothings changed since the leaked pictures. Still think it looks fantastic. Like the Falcon before it I'll spend the next few years trying to convince myself I don't need it while constantly yearning for it. I also love that Blurgg. If I can get a hold of that somehow (plus Kuill) and they start printing on Mando's helmet in regular sets then the Razor Crest's absence from my desk will be an easier pill to swallow. Maybe I'll try and make one of those N-1 Mocs to help tide me over. edit: the animated video on Instagram has Boba's helmet and jetpack in the correct colour. I feel like TLG are taunting us.
  22. Oh, it's beautiful... But as gorgeous as it looks, I really don't think I can justify it after only just getting round to buying the Falcon this year. Maybe if I win the lottery...
  23. With the Ant-Man set, what do people think the chances are of microfigs? Do those only generally show up in bigger sets? I've never really thought about it.
  24. I assumed the leakers knew what the set was, and that's why they were able to to say what the set wasn't? But if nothing's confirmed are they just being drip fed hints as well which they're then passing down to us? Regardless, anything Black Panther related, outside of Wakanda itself, for $500, is a terrible choice. As many have said, vehicles aren't really something Marvel are known for, but if you include the comics, I'm sure I could come up with a list of Marvel vehicles that could make for interesting sets... and the Black Panther vehicles would be a ways down the list. I agree the statement that a lot of companies seem to think that people will go crazy for anything Wakandan. And sure, Wakanda is cool, but the most interesting part about it, to me, is T'Challa himself. All in all though I'm just glad it's something I'm not remotely interested in. Besides I'd rather only have one massively out of my price range set to long for at a time and that honour will probably be going to the Razor Crest.
  25. That's fair. I guess for me the boots on Spider-Man figures stand out due to how little printing they have (Sanctum variant and the inside out suit excluded - although I don't own the latter). I get what you mean though. But I think you could avoid that by stripping the blue sections of printing. They don't really need it imo.
