So, on Friday they'll reveal finalists of the vacation contest and will open a voting, based on this I assume review results are going to happen either tomorrow or next week... I doubt they will announce it on Friday with contest's finalists.

It feels awkward to me as well. Maybe raising 10k milestone only for IP projects could help? Also I feel like projects started to gain more votes once the "top" section was made as default when you open product ideas section - it gives more visibility to already popular ideas. Well and the fact that Ideas line became more popular than before makes some projects grow faster as well I think

I think it really depends on the number of Ideas sets they are allowed to produce per year... I mean there should be some limits in certain theme right?

If I was guessing, then I'd say June 2-nd or 8-th. Because we still have two 10k club interviews to be published (and that usually happen on Mondays), so the last interview will happen on June 1-st and then I'm guessing they will reveal results the next day or next Monday :)

I only hope this is not going to be a re-release or slight update of previous sets. Want something cozy and warm, also I wish they go for more complex sets, I wouldn't mind "openable" models - but that sounds more like a dream to me :)

I think that it's absolutely great for it's price. For kids. When I was a kid I could only dream of the road like this. Not for serious mocs obviously but it's a great offer for young fans. I remember any pattern on the mats in a living room was a road :)

Wow! I can't describe how much I like it! The only thing I would like to change - is number of floors, I would make it 1 floor lower but again I simply love the facade! Ops, my third language here, sorry - of course I mean classic. And my whole point as I said before is that classic ideas have more chances to be picked than new trendy things - nothing more nothing less :) Obviously it's not obscure but just not as well known as Friends or other classics. (among adults). In my understanding 2009 is still pretty young and absolutely not a classic yet.

Agree and with a recent rule that they've announced (basically if they made a train they won't accept train ideas etc.) it makes even more sense. Btw Andrew Clark had Flinstones and Doctor Who and JK Brickworks had a Pop up book and Maze :)

He managed to reach out to few actors who made tweets.. he has this info in "updates" section. And yeah promotion outside of Lego community look like to be very important I'm not interested in Marvel products. Reaching 10k is about promotion mostly, basically if creator managed to reach out to few actors from this show - that's how it made it so fast. And what my original point was about is that more classy things like Friends or Seinfeld or Ghost Busters have more chances for approvement than young trendy shows - and that's my point and I don't know why you're trying to convince me in opposite :) If you're trying to say that Community is classic already, than no it is not. For example new Corvette is great but it's not classy as Corvette C1 is... and it can not be classy and trendy at the same time - it's about years. Like wine, music and so many other stuff :)

Do you think it is well known enough in the whole world like other TV shows that were picked? I'm saying those TV based ideas that were picked already (except Adventure Time) had been on screens for much longer time and in my opinion had more impact on pop culture. Big bang theory was still pretty young when came out as a set though but I would say had more impact on culture around the globe. Same goes to other young trendy IPs - I would say they have less chances than iconic things like Ghost Busters and others.

Yeah 10 days is like beyond of my understanding! I haven't heard about this show either... Wishing the creator of this idea all the best but I personally doubt they can pick something that is based on "this day trendy thing"... same goes to the goose game, animal crossing etc.

I mean does word "official" means so much to you? I loved Lego sets with 16+ badge and even 4+ (toy story for example) just as much as I will love 18+ sets. You overrate the event. While the set is absolutely gorgeous!
