Looks fine to me. Nothing too special but to me it looks like a well made mold and overall figure too
-
If its real, his head looks pretty nice to me actually. But frankly, speaking about torso I was hoping to see something similar to what they did with big yellow bird from sesame street. Some kind of rubber belly would be fun to have and it'd give the figure more round shape which is quite appropriate in this case.

Adventurers set with details level and size comparable to Pirates Bay would be a dream come true
-
Nice joke. Regarding the topic, if that's true, it could be caused by great sales of the original set. Frankly I would be quite happy if they are going to release another set based on Friends.
-
Actually I was looking for a way to do that too, since posting through flickr (same method as for posting on this forum) as someone here advised not so long ago didn't work for me...

So the blacksmith is out and just as I said before I'm happy I didn't judge the set with the leaked images only. I would say official photos and designer's video made me like this set almost as much as like the Old Fishing Store while I felt nothing watching those leaked images... I really like how complete this set is - you have a nice story, the legacy, beautiful detailed 3 floors building and nice minifigs too. Well, it's a bit different from the original submission but I like that it's more colorful now and looks like an actual Lego set rather than a MOC. I'm pretty happy.

I guess they will count the whole castle theme as one but maybe split it to see which fraction is more popular to have a better idea on what fans would love to get in case it wins. This is just a guess though :)

Had the same thoughts actually. I was definitely hoping to see Western in the selection but also even before the poll I thought the Brickwest Studios has a good chance to be approved.
-
That explains a lot! Not an expert in this particular case, but I guess they were in a hurry for anniversary maybe? Plus obviously design team has a review results earlier than we hear them officially, so they had a bit more time than just 42 days
-
What a great post you did! Thank you, this is really interesting. What really amazed me - is Minecraft! It happened in my dark ages so I never knew it was voted in 1 day?! This is crazy, has Dwayne Johnson posted it on his IG or what? :)
-
Awesome idea, it definitely has that vintage vibe! Thank you for such a detailed explanation :)
-
Well it's what about folks are up to + what sells well. Pop culture... I think that a nice balance of IP and original ideas is what we really need in Ideas.
-
So they are literally saying "we're thinking of making Jaws ourselves". I wouldn't bet on these ideas in that case.
-
10 active "Jaws" projects, seriously, what have I missed? :)
-
While I would like to see a Bag End made into a real set, I think that Lighthouse and Vikings are two proposals with the highest chances in this round!
-
@Versteinert wow! This look brilliant! Can we get this one as a GWP too? :) Could you please explain the technique you used to put the 1x1 round tile inside of the white tire? Is it secured inside and sits on a stud? I couldn't find the way to make the wheel functional and still secure it properly!

I won't judge until I saw all the pictures, details and functions. I can only say that in most cases official sets works better to me than submissions and Barracuda Bay wasn't an exception so fingers crossed and waiting for official release.

I don't think we're allowed to post leaked photos
-
It's 4 years old... Only projects not older than 3 years qualify
-
It is an IP, + there's need in custom prints for minifigs (or old that are not in use). I think they haven't approved it because it didn't fit the concept of Lego Ideas - I mean offering to Lego an "idea" of their own "idea" seems strange a bit, isn't it?. BUT with Bricklink's program I guess it is possible with a bit of luck.
-
It just hit my mind now - we guys can hope for Food Stands!
-
They only said that IP projects won't qualify for this program yesterday. They didn't mention third party IPs or own IPs - just basically IPs. But time will show of course. Most likely they will pick those projects that don't need recolors, old parts or new prints to look good.
-
Not all non IP ideas will be accepted, but there are tones of good ones! I can clearly see Clockwork Aquarium being made this way for example. And yeah I afraid that bionicles are IP too so probably won't fit the program...
-
So, just a quick summary: They will pick a limited number of rejected non-IP 10k projects from the past. They call it a "collaboration" with Bricklink's Designers Program. Designers will be compensated (no specifics yet) More details are coming in early 2021.

Still very nice! Thanks for sharing :)
