  1. Just curious and for some confirmation, is it only the three winners gets the tag?
  2. Indeed! The second ver. certainly looks a whole lot cooler!
  3. I'd second most of deraven too. The shape of the front/cockpit was quite amazing! And I definitely love how the back opens too, that shot is pretty awesome!
  4. A: 10-3-8. B: 8-6-2.
  5. Wow, that does look quite ambitious there! And looking forward to seeing the completed CSD!
  6. Hang in there! I certainly am hoping to see one more challenger entering this contest!
  7. Both builds were great! I love how sleek both are, and the color scheme arrangement of the stripes is just superb! Definitely one of my faves for this contest!
  8. Thank you! Your thrusters/boosters are certainly quite formidable indeed!
  9. "A highly feared bounty hunting vessel in legally uncharted and unknown space. Known to use black hole portals through a forbidden dark matter drive as battle and heist tactics. Piloted by a bounty hunter known only as The Phasemaster, one of the most wanted and powerful criminals in the galaxy. If you're being hunted by this vessel, immediately report to Benny's Spaceship Building Academy with haste." So here's my entry for BSBA (Cat B) contest - The Necromaw Reaper! The first and only (if nothing happens in two days ) villain entry! Credits to @ExeSandbox for his amazing help on the renders! Let's start with the Pre-Spaceship-fied MOC - An ancient temple shrine The idea of using this came while I was in the middle of building a temple MOC when this contest pops out. I was searching for ideas and while also looking at a version of the above MOC (which is also piece of the temple structure), the idea of a spaceship with a face came to me. Which I then decide to use the shrine as a template for my spaceship. I had to make some modification and additions with the original version until what it is now as more ideas on how the ship would be starts taking shape and also trying to make this MOC a tad complete too. But ultimately, it's still a MOC that's also a piece from another MOC. And now, here's the spaceship when the "Bennyfication" process is done! (Well, personal lore-wise, its more of a "Bad-ification" since the ship and its pilot are, well...criminals.) A big factor of building this spaceship was following the rule of this not being an alt-build so the modification was mostly adding stuffs to it. Also, I wanted the additions to be in a different color scheme. However, those parts do not exist in that color scheme that I want so I eventually had to stick to the original color scheme. It's weapon system are mostly at the skull face - Side Blaster Cannons, Eyebeams Blasters and a Flamethrowing mouth! Here's the back - It also has a rear defense system - The back fins fires flares that neutralizes blast, beams, missiles or any incoming ballistic object should the Reaper be pursuit. Of course these aren't used that often as black holes is its greatest offense and defense. But it should be useful in emergencies. The back also has an exhaust for spewing out smokescreens as a trick tactic or to cover it's escape should things go wrong. The side - The body is built to store the bounty hunter's treasures and while it lacks side cannons, it makes up with it's tank-iness! Which is also protected by shields emitted from the black "ingots". Definitely won't be good if the spoils gets blown off! Here's some images for the top view - Now we meet the feared bounty hunter himself - The Phasemaster in all his dark glory! Here's him in the cockpit too - And now for some additional features - On the top of the ship, there's a hatch for The Phasemaster to store his bounty payments for his huntings! This ship has no need for any actual landing gear. It uses energy-matter beams to hold the ship up while it's landed. The matter will phase out when the ship is needed to fly. The main reason The Phasemaster is wanted by Benny's Spaceship Building Academy is because he does hunt BSBA agents for sport and of course, some bounty too. That agent there is definitely going to need some backup. Would the other BSBA entries be able to finally dish out justice to The Necromaw Reaper this time? (The Image below is just for fun, not beholden to the contest, just wanted an image of this spaceship interacting with a "Benny".) That's my entry for BSBA's Cat B contest! I hope you all enjoyed it. And best of luck to all the other amazing and awesome entries!
  10. Whoa! That's an awesome and solid ship. I really dig the heavy-duty vibes there!
  11. Ooh! Love the combination of trash can and retro space! The energy drink and cookie are awesome additions too!
  12. The way the booster works is pretty cool. I also dig it's manueverability too! A pretty neat spaceship there!
  13. Wow! I never thought a modular could be turned into a spaceship. Awesome work there! I do dig the front and the roof of the ship (dope satellite dishes)! And interestingly, the power source section is my favorite part of the ship. It's really nicely done!
  14. I see! Thanks for the clarification!
  15. I second this too! It's quite unique there. A cool mash-up of pirates and sci-fi! Really love how it's "benny-fied". Just curious, does the rendered image depicts the back of the spaceship or the tentacles side is the front? Or it works similar to the Slave I?
  16. Whoa! Just checked that out too! I'm really stoked there! Was already amazed with the leaked catalogue but the official version completely BLEW my mind! The sets is even more awesome and the new boxart is super-dope! I'm definitely will plan to pick this wave and Hidden Side up!
  17. I got one right around the corner! Just gotta get the renders done.
  18. To be honest LegoDavid, since you like old lego sets, why don't you just fully focus on them then? Cathatic or not, pretty sure this is just going back and forth. Personally, If I'm not interested in the current sets, It would be a good thing for my wallet as I could then focus my budget on the old stuffs more as they are in a hefty amount. And if Lego comes out with something that you do like in the future, that could be a treat I guess. Better than endlessly beating a dead bush and descending into constant negativity. Oh yeah! I totally forgot about that fact there. Thanks for the reminder! And here's to hoping it'll come true in that window!
  19. Even though there's the hiatus, the contract only expires on 2022, if I'm not mistaken. So yeah, still three years to go. Still, I'm glad that the movies is taking a hiatus too! Which means that they could focus on more fun stuffs like The Clone Wars or possibly The Mandalorian. But I'm definitely game for new original space themes if the contract did not renew!
  20. I don't really have any sets for that theme but seeing the commercial, I really dig that theme for it's cheesy-like dark tone and savageness. But I'll give it a 6/10 there. Next theme: Lego Systems - U.F.O.
  21. Ideally, it would definitely be great if a new original action figure theme comes out. G2 was great to me personally and I was quite sad to see it go. Been waiting for one ever since. However, in the absense of it, I begin to turn more into system themes so yeah, realistically I'm also glad it's not coming as the current system themes heavily taking my budget hardly leaving room for extras as having a new action figure theme would really get me. But if it ever does come back! I definitely would be whooping in joy regardless of budget.
  22. It's possible that It might play out the same way as Curseworld Part 2 where it could just be cameo-ing the Fire & Ice War in Chima. Other than that or if not that, I'm pretty curious too. Indeed. That's what pique my interest highly. It's not just your typical fire and ice theme but this time there's more. To be honest, I wasn't too excited when the info was revealed that the villains were just ice samurai. But when the pyro snakes was thrown in, that got me! Definitely want to know more on the actual sets! I do hope none of the sides do turn good. Unless the rumors being Zane becoming the forgotten emperor eventually is true, then the case of a faction becoming good is inevitable. Or the Ninja tries to know both sides of the story which results in a civil war even between themselves. Who knows? We'll see I guess.
  23. Yep! Voted for the Medieval Market Village too. The best looking out of all for that round!
  24. Yep! Saw those new minifigures. And I have to say that I'm quite impressed! The samurai zombies is pretty neat especially the red armored one! I'm quite intrigued with the new ninja hoods and with Lloyd too. And the pyro snakes are just getting more awesome, I'm amazed with the black snake! Really looking forward to seeing the actual sets from them! On a side note though, I don't think they are just called "pyro snakes" right? Would be weird to be called that way next to "Vermillion" or "Hynobrai".
  25. Wow! Darn Cool MOCs there! Love the sunken ruined temple! The ship is nicely detailed too! And definitely dig the decoration/foliage of the ocean floor!
