I see we try to level our tables with shims and adjustable legs. Anything over a plate difference will upset my long engines. Guess I never thought about the suspension working to keep multiple drive wheels in place over rough track.

Loving your gardens professor! I've meaning to make a hot house for some time now ... Perhaps the professor would be willing to populate it with his studies? -

Building short facades against the wall will give the impression that there is city beyond the tracks. -
I wish I had more ship levels ...

Lol nicely done what does this bring your current levels to? -
Finally an official congratulations are in order lol. Great build and intrigued to see the story unfold

You could always (gasp) paint the pins with a black paint pen. I'm liking the idea of suspension but wonder what is the actual advantage. Regardless of it's advantage its cool.

Small sloop and amethyst were taken care of by you in pm already! As long the check cleared lol -
Thanks! Lego did ... They had a gear mounted to the side in an ideas book with the old crown gear. I believe it's posted in this thread if I recall. My first edition posted earlier was based off this idea book with revised updated parts. I'm actually thinking of using it as a gbc ... At least the first car design. Not sure if the latest will hold balls but it will dump 1x1s just fine ... I'm working on a conveyor system to make it look as if mine Jenny's are dumping then going back and refilling for a layout.

This is what I've found ... Front and rear trucks need at least 1 plate of travel up and down to allow the driver's to adhere to the rails. I found that even the slightest angle in the track (half plate even) would allow the drive wheels to lift off enough (still technically touching) to cause violent wheel slip and essentially stranding your engine while under load without a push.

Loving the story thus far -
So I figured I would post this here to get advice from you guys that do this all the time. I'm wanting to to animate part of a train layout. The plan is to have ore tippers come out from the mine and dump 1x1 rounds into a hopper outside. The hopper would have a false bottom that hauls the bricks back into the mine. The tippers are geared to tip and right on their own by running over a gear tile. But I'm unsure on the filling. I've done alot of reading and I'm honestly confused at what to use. I want to have the train stop and fill each tipper then the tipper shut off. Would EV3, mindstorms, rsx ... Honestly what's the easiest to work with. (I have no robotics equipment currently)

So you can still set up the custom control if you connect both hubs to the app.

To give you this. I have a L motor in my EN. (Lego used the XL) I made a custom gear box with technic. It pulls a 20 car rake of coal hoppers loaded with 1x1 rounds no issues. If you gear it properly I have no doubt it will work fine. Perhaps two m motors on the same gear drive pointing opposite directions in the boiler ... I will try to get a reference photo ... I know it's been done with two l motors. Alternative I know several of the PENNLUG guys run two xl motors in the tender with each powering it's own truck ... Tender slides on over and captures the motor from turning

Build it in LDD then convert it to stud.io to add the final parts (including BBB wheels; you have to load the mlcad files to the custom parts folder) I've found if you know what the parts called on BL it's searchable ... I still prefer LDD for ease of use ... The camera control alone plus the library

Before you load a file open your settings and adjust your safe mode ... I have to run mine in safe mode anytime I get over 10,000 bricks

The shaping looks promising ... I would recommend making her longer though

I'm not sure why your having this issue. I run the same batteries for 8hrs and still have some left the next day. I only buy the Energizer Lithium ... They are a little more costly buy but the run time is well worth it. I have the same AA batteries in my PF air compressor that have been in all year with no issues. The AAA I can run the train all day (with it not taking breaks) and still run half the day the next day before needing to change batteries. I do it daily though because I don't like changing batteries mid show.
