  1. I don't see LEGO releasing two police stations in the same year. I like the idea of a center park and two small buildings, maybe a house and a candy store to go with it.
  2. I love cool / pale yellow! My favorite of the 'Friends' colors that some people just dismiss.
  3. And today LEGO is the number one toy company in the world and makes billions every year. They outsourced the company to China and robots. LEGO makes several new dinosaur molds every year. Clearly they have the means to do this in the overpriced City theme. So what exactly is your point? The body is 100% Duplo feel, thankfully the head is good. I was thinking of selling my old Adventure elephants and buy the new set with that money. That's not happening now. Am I in a forum or in a cult? I agree with Thomas, the blend of Juniors/4+ into normal themes have really made City just bland at times. As someone else said, look at the Jungle theme from a few years back, that was amazing. It must have sold well too because I never saw it really on sale or I would have bought more of them.
  4. Actually they don't, not by a long shot. The old elephant is better. The old monkey is a lot better. The lion and lion cub are great though. I'm fine with the red and tan colors, but the sets all feel very 4+ like when they aren't. That's my problem. The elephant feels almost like a Duplo animal.
  5. Yeah these were phoned in. They are fine but LEGO is like 'Screw it. People will buy whatever crap we make if we throw in enough animals" and they are right. I wish they were more like the jungle sets.
  6. The Mickey and Donald Duck set has a rabbit, tan horse and a sheep. The beachfront to me looks like a $60 set. If its $60-70 it's a must have. $100 LEGO can go do things to themselves. But damn LEGO designers, nice job! Pale yellow and light aqua are some of my favorite LEGO colors.
  7. People making excuses for a $60 LEGO set having ONE minifigure is reaching cult level loyality to LEGO.
  8. No they don't. That's like saying the Panda set has 3-4 figures because of the pandas. It's a $60 set with one minifigure.
  9. Thank you! Those sets have perfect colors, love the new peg hat the owl has, but probably won't pick any of them up. Looks like this year I'll be saving a lot of money.
  10. I really like the current island sets and the water themes however I wish there were more than just 4 sets in each. Plus the prices. NinjaGo used to have the best prices around. The Hydro Bounty is amazing but at $140 I'm never going to buy it. I feel $120 would have been the price even just 14 months ago.
  11. I knew I should have sold off my old Adventures Elephants, could have paid for the new one sets. So glad the new road plates are getting recolors already.
  12. A $60 / Euro set that has less than 600 pieces and ONE figure is insulting.
  13. All the pictures have been released? I have only seen 4 sets? My problem with the hotel is is the dual pale purple/pink colors. Should have just picked one. I do love the new building style for the pine trees.
  14. I was thinking the same thing! It's super creative and small, be a great $30 set.
  15. I wish they matched too, but kid of wish that they were all sand green.
  16. I've built two of the four Hogwarts sets and I really like them even though I don't care about HP at all. The figures are really nice too. One thing I'm curious about, which probably got brought up and I missed it, what colour roofs do everyone prefer? I kind of miss sand green and liking how the anniversary sets look. :)
  17. There is no way this new set can ever beat the first / current set. 1,000+ pieces, several figures for $60. This new one will probably be like 1800 pieces and $150. haha
  18. What is the NinjaGo hoodie without hair and the trans orange cup/glass? The wheelchair peice is $1.48USD. Has it always been that expensive?
  19. Bricklink isn't LEGO. (It is but it isn't) I'm really sick of having to have to explain basic math to people. The new modern house with roadplate is $10 more than the last one without a roadplate but because of inflation they are about the same. The last police station has less pieces and no roadplates than the downtown set with a bunch of roadplates. This isn't difficult to look up. I'm not half right i'm 100% right and I'm done with this.
  20. No, it's it's not. I have debunked this countless times. The sets are about the same price as former sets with similar piece counts and without roadplates. These new plate roads are always on sale and can be used in so many different ways. Baseplates are clearly expensive, because they haven't been included in sets in decades.
  21. I always wanted the last hotel but never found it on sale. I'm currently building 41379, the Restaurant from a few years back. It's a very un Friends like building. But there is a 6x8 junk of it where the stairs are that's completely wasted space. I'm going to have to redo that.
  22. We better. It be very weird if we get a bunch of new road plates and then nothing for the rest of the year.
  23. They were? Besides Giant Figures I think they were exactly what I was thinking. Bland and tan. I like the village set and probably the only thing I'll be getting.
  24. Supposedly Petunia Pig was there since 1937 which is amazing. NO ONE knows her. I think I saw her and just thought it was Porky Pig in a dress. It's not like Daffy and Bugs have't worn dresses either. The April 26th date in the USA is because that's when LEGO will release a few other sets, like the Batman ones.
  25. Rumour is that it will come out in April 26th in the USA.
