  1. I'd love to hear if we get some more characters than just more Jack and Parker. Same for brickbuilt or minifig ghosts.
  2. It's the heavens weeping, for your cursed criminal of a character runs free once more! P.S.: And yeah, while the british weather is not quite as bad as its reputation, rain is quite frequent...
  3. Great to finally have all these awesome builds and their stories in one place! Looking forward to the continuation.
  4. Life happens, don't worry about the delay. Completely forgot about the diminishing trade value! Never thought I'd see that in action to be honest.
  5. We had a sunny day, autumn at its finest. It's supposed to get to (or over) 25^C over the next days.
  6. I can only agree with the others: great build, and an interesting ongoing story. A thread of its own would be a great thing for this though, if only to have it all "under one roof" so to speak. Also it's kinda off topic here. Edit: Ninja'd by @Bregir
  7. Maybe meant the books - would be a shame if they featured the main characters as minifigs yet again.
  8. While not a "proper" MOC, this highlights one of the great upsides of LDD and the like: you can show the actual number of minifigs when it comes to things like troop formations. I don't have 30 Redcoats of any type, and I think few people have. Let alone 100 or whatnot. In LDD though? No problem! Nothing beats the sight of real minifigs in numbers, but this is a solid substitute!
  9. Isn't being jailed for bankruptcy essentially "convicted for crimes"? I also remember some burnign of people...
  10. Yeah, nothing like handing out royal titles to convicted criminals - the Oleon way!
  11. Really nice build, loving the underwater tunnel idea! One question though: aren't you a Corry, why the SR build?
  12. I am rarely a fan of "Lego builds presented in regular environments" - but this one just works! Nice fort build, very functional yet with enough details to keep it from being boring. Just noticed that all your Redcoats have actual red coats - very cool! The Myzec Scout is also a clever addition, I like the idea a lot. Overall a great addition to Serentia and Stormhaven, well done!
  13. To me the names of work animals always work for merchant ships, especially combined with some positive character trait. Or anything related to reliability and strong work ethos. Yup, sounds like a solid overview, and time well spent for sure.
  14. Note how I talked about the protagonists/minifigs only. Overall I disagree with you. The MF sets are clearly early horror pulp, heavily leaning on 40s/50s aesthetics. There is also a strong "dial the comic up to the 11" aspect going on in most of the sets. Nothing bad about all that in my opinion, don't get me wrong! But it is literally not "timeless". The only set that can be considered timeless in my opinion is the fantastic Haunted House - because outside of the minifigs it features almost none of the points outlined before. On the other hand the HS sets can mostly be used alongside the regular City sets without any work at all - in their unpossessed version of course. The bus and the trains carts are out obviously, but the rest are fine. I think this is part of the HS appeal to me: the sets work both as part of their theme, as well as outside of it. MF sets are strictly part of their theme, with all the good and bad that comes with it.
  15. No offense mate, but a "year long class" is not nearly enough to thoroughly study any religion, let alone doing a proper comparison between some of them. Good for you seeing this experience as an eye opener, but it was nothing but a first glimpse, and definitely not "in depth". You hardly scratched the surface.
  16. I think the Hidden Side protagonists won't age that well, if only for the fact that they are very clearly depicting current youth fashion. Hoodies might still be a thing in ten years, but those dreadful woolen caps will go out of fashion soon. It doesn't really help that the same two characters are in almost the same outfits are in every* set of the line. Their look instantly dates the whole theme, for better or worse. * ... Jack is in every set, Parker is in all but two (plus featuring in the Juice Bar)
  17. Once again I can only recommend Imgur for image hosting. Never had any issues with them.
  18. Neat, thanks for posting this! My only issue with all your stuff are the names - I always have to doublecheck when writing about them somewhere, they are so easy to spell wrong.
  19. Damn, this is such a cool idea! Now I need one of these bushes in dark tan or something, so gonna steal this!
  20. I had a vague memory of that, but couldn't figure out where I'd seen it! Any chance we see more of it?
  21. Getting the little Prometheus shrine done yesterday made me wonder: how are others feeling about the religions in the BotBS verse? I like what @gedren_y is doing with his Crahaish neh Triuri, as well as what @Mesabi is going for with the Promethean Faith. Other than that we have some Oleon players embracing the Order aspect of the existing pantheon... and that's pretty much it? What would it need to get folks more interested and invested in this part of the lore?
  22. Sweet mayham, what a glorious fight! Once again a great build of yours, I love how much there is going on for the comparatively little space. Getting angled walls right can be tricky, ou have done a good job here. Overall well done, I hope we get a conclusion soon.
  23. As promised, some more pictures: It's tan, not yellow, so no fear of mice. I thought about doing some overgrowth, but decided against it. This is a newly built structure, why would there be plants growing over it? Maybe the WTC buys some older stuff in the settlement for its next aquisitions, I definitely want to try this out sooner or later.
  24. Interesting question. I was in my Dark Ages during the Monster Fighters lifetime, and could still kick myself for it. So many awesome sets! If these were around today - I would buy it all! Sadly that's not the case. I do love the Hidden side line from start to finish though. The app is of no interest to me, but the sets on their own are just great. I hope the line sells well and sees many more waves in the future! So comparing both - which do I prefer? Hidden Side I guess. Not only is it on sale right now, but the sets are excellent as well. The line has lots of potential for the future. On top of it all it is "downward compatible" with Monster Fighters: you can easily combine the lines if you have sets or minifigs from both.
  25. Thank you, much appreciated.
