  2. 14-gun merchant ship "Razorbill" The Quinnsville shipyards are hard at work during the summer months, and their most recently launched vessel is a 14-gun merchant frigate. 14-gun Frigate 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr She has fourteen 8 pounders on the top deck which offer plenty of protection and has quite a bit of valuable cargo space. 14-gun Frigate 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr She has a finely crafted stern and the crew are quite pleased with how she handles on the Brick Seas. 14-gun Frigate 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr ---------------------------------- It's been a little while since I posted a ship build and I've had this one completed for a little while now. She's definitely not my best work in my opinion, but I believe she is ready to be launched into the Brick Seas. As usual, C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!
  3. Quinnsville Weapon Emporium Not far from the busy city square of the bustling city of Quinnsville is a gunsmith. The Quinnsville weapon emporium is known for producing the highest quality firearms and swords on all of Cocovia. Weapon Emporium 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr It is a small little operation with limited production but it allows for finer weapons to be forged. Out back is where the swordsmith hammers away to perfect the shape of his latest saber. Weapon Emporium 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Inside the shop the master gunsmith carefully works on his newest masterpiece on the workbench with his trusty dog at his side. Weapon Emporium 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr A marine sergeant has been sent to put in a special order for a crate of marksman rifles. The troops in Quinnsville are being trained in all of the latest military techniques and demand the best equipment. Weapon Emporium 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr ----------------------------------- Another real brick build! This will be a small artisan for Quinnsville. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking! A few more angles can be seen under the spoiler:
  4. Thank you very much Phred!
  5. I like the vintage look! Nice work!
  6. I believe that the settlement of Quinnsville owns the troops. At least that is where they are in the accounts spreadsheet.
  7. Another nice addition to the Shield Drunknok!
  8. Much appreciated! I'll wait for a little bit then before moving forward on this. Thanks again!
  9. Quinnsville has some troops and per the rule update I would like to follow the instructions and keep the books updated. So, I have a few questions regarding the new troop form... I'll just put my questions under the question titles. Player Name The troops in question are stationed in Quinnsville, so would that be the player name? Similar to settlements licensing property? What are you doing which option would be best for this? How many troops. Do not use commas There are 30 troops in question Location Quinnsville If the ownership is being transferred, please list the new owner. Otherwise leave this blank. Not being transferred Destination (only use this if you are transporting troops. Otherwise leave it blank) Not moving them anywhere If troops are being transported, please list the vessels used. Not transporting them anywhere. ------------------ Thank you in advance!
  10. Ha ha! Thanks! I agree the water is not the greatest, but I had to work with what I had... Until I get my hands on some more bricks eventually, I'll have to use LDD for medium, large, and royal builds. But have no fear, real bricks are here to stay!
  11. Thank you very much Captain Genaro!
  12. @Phred / @Captain Genaro My account as of August 8th says I have 486 DBs, however I should have somewhere in the ballpark of 4400 DBs after July's summary. Could you look into this for me please? Thanks guys!
  13. Thanks! I wanted it to appear like it was dug out of a hillside, so I'm glad you like the effect!
  14. Thanks Capt Wolf! I hope to spend more time using physical bricks in the future. I already have another build ready for photographing so stay tuned!
  15. Great looking build Josh! I like the varied terrains and the stone wall and wooden structures look sweet!
  16. Wonderful build! Ship placement and action is perfect!
  17. Thank you! Over time I expanded it to include the pier and add some extra foliage to the build, and yeah, the flag does look a little large! More real brick builds to come!
  18. Lavalette Cannon Battery The first order of business for the newly arrived visitors had been; in cooperation with the local soldiers, militia, and workforce; to erect a battery overlooking the anchorage. It served as a good practice ground for cooperation between the Oleanders and the Corla... foreigners, before bigger projects where started. Gun emplacement 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Digging out a plain foundation into the hillside and erecting a low wall, the new battery was well camouflaged and protected from enemy fire. Gun emplacement 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr In this battery, local 24 pounders sourced from a naval storehouse and given army carriages serves as an effective counter to even heavy vessels.
  19. Sweet looking ride!
  20. Thank you! Lol, agreed! Thank you! Yes, I will be mixing more real MOCs in with my LDD builds!
  21. Awesome build, nice narration and congrats to Captain Sir Jonathan Cooke! @Bregir
  22. Thank you! Yep, you guessed! The angling is done with 6 hinge bricks around the bottom. I would've done the top too, but didn't have enough.
  23. I quite like the big wheels on it! As others have stated, the roof does look concave, however the only angle that it is really noticeable to me is in the first one. Nice work overall though!
  24. Lol! Yeah, the shortcuts are really helpful! Here are some more that you may find useful as well: Pressing "D" activates the delete key. You can also select a brick and then press "D". Pressing "H" activates the hinge tool. Pressing "L" activates the hide tool. Pressing "V" activates the select tool. Pressing "B" activates the paint tool. Pressing "C" activates the copy tool. Pressing "Shft+RMB" allows you to pan to different areas. Pressing "Shft+V" cycles through the different select tools. Pressing "Ctl+K" takes a screenshot with a white background.
