  1. Here is my entry: Every Christmas "Iron Santa" brings new toys to all the good little Avengers on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier. Here we see "Iron Santa" leaving a new compound bow for Hawkeye.
  2. I can't load the page. Is it possible to post the pic in this thread?
  3. You can get multiples of the ring from the LOTR sets.
  4. That isreally neat. I think I will pick that set upthis evening anddo some similar mods. Great job!
  5. Item has sold.
  6. I would like to +1 usernameMDM for a great trade.
  7. I had a very great trade with "Only Sinner." I would like +1 to him, please. Thanks! -meschepers
  8. All items are sold. Thank you for your interest.
  9. That's great! I am working on a purist Green Arrow of my own, but sadly I am lacking the Robin head that you used. I used the torso from the CMF forest hunter fig but swapped the arms with flesh arms with green hands. If I can just get my hands on that head I'd post a pic, haha. The Aquaman is pretty cool too. I am less familiar with Aquaman than Green Arrow but it looks pretty close to some source material I looked up. Ace job on this MOC.
  10. I was hoping someone here might have one of these that they would like to trade. I have a lot of classic pieces from most every theme and a fair amount of newer stuff. If there is something you are looking for then please feel free to ask. I prefer to trade as opposed to buying because the price on BrickLink is a little more than I want to pay for it. Here is what I am looking for: If you have one that you are willing to trade then please let me know in this post or in a PM. Thanks! (P.S. I have nothing but good rating on BrickLink as well as EuroBrick's own "Straight Shooters" list. I am willing to trade anywhere.)
  11. I have the red version and am looking to trade it. I suppose I should have clarified.
  12. The piece is, according to BrickLink, pretty rare- it is being sold for between $9.99 and $13.00 USD. I have the mis-printed red version (see below) and would like to offer it up for trade. Here is how the piece normally looks: http://www.bricklink.com/PL/3678bpb18.jpg?1 And this is what mine looks like: If anyone is interested in a trade, please let me know (either by reply in this thread or PM). I am seeking some Lord of the Rings minifigs (Theoden, Legolas, Haldir, Gimli, Ring Wraith), but those are not the only things I would accept. I am on the EuroBricks Straight Shooters list. I am open to trade with anyone globally.
  13. Does anyone know if this offer will be valid at LegoLand in Florida? I will be going there in this timeframe and would like to pick one up if the shop(s) in LegoLand do the same promos as the stores do.
  14. I was actually at the OKC store grand opening. My fiance and I got there early in the morning and were in the first group of people inside so I got the limited edition cowboy set as well as the commemorative brick. It was pretty cool to see how many people were there to support the store.
  15. I am heading to Florida in a few months (honeymoon cruise, and my cousin is getting married). While I'm there I am going to hit up LEGLOAND even though it's 3 hours from where I will be staying. It think it will be worth it, though.
  16. HA! Greetings to a fellow Tulsan. I mostly build castle and pirates personally. I had a decent MOC snow-brig (sailing ship) built but when on vacation a year ago one of my cats knocked it off the shelf. That just means I get a chance to rebuild it better, right? At the moment I don't have any ongoing MOCs, but I have some ideas. I just need the time, haha.
  17. Classic: 25 years Antique: 50 years According to dictionary.com: vin·tage    [vin-tij] Show IPA noun, adjective, verb, -taged, -tag·ing. adjective 10. Old-fashioned or obsolete. 11. Being the best of its kind. I think both of these definitions fit the bill quite well. For me, I would say vintage LEGO is something rare, sought after, and collectible. Star Wars (and other license themes) would be vintage before they became fleshies. Everyone knows the BSB and the Yellow Castle are "vintage." I think that a lot of the orignal pirate sets are vintage by this same logic, and many of the early castle sets and subthemes. Of course the early space sets fit in as vintage. But I don't think you'll find a cutoff date of what makes a set vintage since some themes, subthemes, sets, minifigs, etc. are just more sought after than others. I would imagine the line blurs from theme to theme and person to person.
  18. HEY! It's great to see another Okie, let alone a fellow Tulsan on here! I hope you enjoy your time on this forum, I know I have. It's been a great source of inspiration and advice. There are a lot of helpful folks here and they are all happy to help you out with any questions.
  19. I voted for the Spartan, for what it's worth. But, I think you guys are reading too much into the "set" aspect of it. I think it means there will be a "set" of five figures from the collectable range, not an actual building set with bricks. They say they are going to announce the top five voted figs, then information on the set will be released. That implies, to me, at least, that it will be like sets of three classic figures we had up until a few years ago. Just figures and their accessories, available for the VIPs.
  20. As far as the location, that has me stumped. But, in regards to the wheel and the bell, it can be explained. It's likely that it was a tread mill powered by people. Since it's on top of a hill that's likely. Many sugar plantation on Caribbean islands are on the mountainous areas of the islands, since the islands (mostly) were formed by volcanoes. That would make the land fertile for crops and sugar grows really well in that area of the world. If you didn't have flat land to build a mill on to process the sugar then you could make it a tread mill, powered (most likely) by slave labor. As far as the bell goes, plantation often had bells so that workers would know when work started and ended and if there was any reason to be alarmed. I would guess that the scene takes part in an old abandoned plantation on the side of a hill on a Caribbean island. I saw a couple examples of mills and sugar plantations when I was in the Caribbean earlier this month and it didn't seem odd to me that they were built on the side of a hill since most of the island is a series of mountains. I hope that helps to clarify things a little.
  21. Good to see another Okie on here! Welcome to EuroBricks.
  22. This happened in my state, about an hour away from where I live. I guess he had been knocking over stores all over the metropolitan area. That's an astounding amount of LEGO to steal and I'm glad he got caught.
  23. Clever. Before more people get outraged I'd like you all to pay attention to the letters in parentheses sprinkled throughout the post. If you look at them they spell something out.
  24. Any word if these are available at TRU in the U.S. right now or are they just appearing in Europe at the moment?
