  1. There's a lot of possibilities that the Lego designers could have gone with; it'll be interesting to see how different it is to the 2005 version.
  2. @Didumos69, that boat would be perfect for the 1h wave of 2018 haha!
  3. I would quite like the new MF to have an escape pod, that would be a nice feature that was missed out on the previous two Falcons. Did the previous UCS falcon have this feature, if not it should be a must for the "upcoming" version?
  4. That MOC is great, I especially love the way the front of the train is done. Yeah, that would be really cool as it would be different from the other trains produced by Lego in recent years.
  5. Is there a confirmed date for these technic sets? They normally come out around the beginning of August so I presume it's the same this year.
  6. Another good looking set, not too sure whether to get it or not.
  7. @Bolingbroke I'm just going by my personal opinion. An £800 MF would be awesome, and to own one would be fantastic (if not a dream)! But, I'm just about to start my A-levels and I don't have that amount of cash to splash on Lego. If I was in a career then I would think about getting it, but if it is at that price a lot of people will be put off. If it is at that price, I'll sit back and admire it in all its detail, but practically for me and for many people it simply can't happen.
  8. This looks like a cool set, should go nicely with my Ferrari F40 and the VW Beetle. It'll have to wait though, my priority is the Saturn V!
  9. I think I know the answer to this, but is there any information or any new rumours about a UCS Falcon upcoming? Last I heard was that it was going to arrive in the autumn, costing around £800. The reason I'm querying is that I simply can't see Lego doing this. That's WAY too expensive for most people, and only die hard fans who missed out on the 2005 version would be buying it. I might be wrong and it could sell well, but that isn't realistic or practical. If there is a falcon upcoming, then I can see it being a revamped version of the one from 2012, with a brick count of 2000-3000 being appropriate. At the end of the day we want a Lego set to be as detailed as possible, but it also has to be practical and realistic.
  10. I can't help but think that the tow truck is related to a future set in some way. It's just an impression I've got from the stickers on the set and the way the Lego designer described the set in the video. Could just be me. Anyway, got three sets to look forward to this summer, hope they turn out good! Just a shame here's no pneumatic sets though this summer, I always like em!
  11. I agree, also with the fact that it's a remote set and they normally are (as they tend to be more expensive), the "flagship" sets.
  12. @Jim sorry, what I should have said was have us AFOLs "decided" which set would be the "flagship" of 2017? I'm guessing that this would probably be decided once the sets are made available.
  13. Whether there's bending or not, let's just hope that the set works well. Anyway, have Lego said which set is the flagship for this year?
  14. Looks like a nice set, I'm looking forward to seeing what features it has!
  15. As long as it doesn't interfere with the functioning of the truck, then I don't see a problem. Like I said earlier, the Bucket Wheel Excavator had a bend in he central part of the model, right where the three main drive shafts were and it worked well (apart from the wrongly placed clutch gear on the main gear box).
  16. @vectormatic yeah, I think the main thing that's the problem with its looks is not only its unusual design, but the colour. It's a nice shade of purple but it just doesn't go well with that set.
  17. Yeah I get what you mean about the whole military thing, could cause some upset and is probably easier to stay away from it. To be honest I like the fact that the aircraft Lego make are colourful; gives you the chance to do some MODs to them!
  18. To be honest 42069 looks as if it has some nice features to it, I especially like the little system for the door. Oh, the V8 engine as well is also a nice added bonus!
  19. I hope that the turning radius of the 42070 is good, too many sets have had a bad steering system, e.g. Artic Truck and more recent the Porsche.
  20. A medieval theme would be pretty cool, like a jousting track or something. I would LOVE to have a WW2 vehicles theme, with vehicles such as Spitfires, Messerschmitts, Tiger I tank and U boats. The list is endless!
  21. If there is a bend, it shouldn't interfere with the function of the set. The Bucket Wheel Excavator had a bend in the central part of the set where the main drive shafts were and it functioned well, apart from the clutch gear in the wrong place in the main gear box!
  22. It'll certainly be a great display piece! Love the techniques used!
