Siercon and Coral

Scroll of Sleep (In the lottery) vs. Description at the beginning of this thread: "The target is forced to miss it's turn until woken up by a target or a roll of 1, 2, 3, 4 or is remedied or the battle is over" I've been trying to figure this out, and am having difficulty seeing how these don't disagree. Can someone help me? Also I was just told that my lullaby wand needed to be used as a physical attack as opposed to passively attributing a sleep spell when I cast a spell through it. Just to double check, is this true? Thanks so much!

Battle Order Lycan Zark Siercon "If I can just put him to sleep, we can take a round or two to distribute potions" Siercon said furrowing his eyebrows... " I'll have another go at it!" Siercon proceeds to cast a spell through his lullaby wand from the back row. Edit: Siercon steps up front and attacks with his lullaby wand from the front row. OoC: I presume I am just missing the roll, or am I doing something wrong to negate the sleep effect of my wand? (like do i need to be in the front row or something?...)[/color]<br class="Apple-interchange-newline">

Battle order: Zark Lycan Siercon "We don't want to kill you, please cease your meaningless assault." Siercon said while repeating his holy spell from the back row.

"Lycan, it is good to have you with us, and I don't say that lightly." "Zark, we may save that mead for yet another battle. Whatever nightmares this werewolf was running from... that is our path!"

Battle order: Pharos721 Lycan Siercon "Megablocks..." Siercon said with a sigh. "Thank you for not joining his side against us, we would rather have left him in peace, and were going to... But it seems he will stab us in the back." Siercon voice was heavy and conveyed sadness. "Zark, equip your Tetzubo, and maybe drink your mead... this ones gonna be tough without Lycan." Turning to Lycan, he said: "You don't have to watch, and I promise I will give him every opportunity to leave, and might even die myself in the process. I understand you cannot kill one of your brothers, but will you watch your companions die? For now, do nothing, maybe even shield your eyes, but please don't walk away. Perhaps you can restrain him, or defend us long enough for him to see reason? Your heart may change as the battle unfolds, but if you fear you may turn on us, we understand, and pray we will join you shortly in the cave to exact vengeance on the real evil. But, if we fail here, no vengeance will be had, and the true evil will go free, deep within that cave." Lastly, facing the werewolf, Siercon pleaded with him "We don't even know your name, you don't have to do this. There are greater evils to fight, rather than reinforcing your pride against Heroica heroes. Deep within that cave, are greater enemies." Siercon attacks Werewolf from the back row with a light spell through his Lullaby Wand. OoC: I actually typed in the Lego knockoff brand... I wasn't filtered ;)

"Now we're talking." Siercon sighed. "In case you haven't noticed... I'm an optimist. And by that I mean get the optimal amount out of the whatever we're doing. If we can get paid by everyone, then lets do it. As for the minotaurs that was nothing, you were just going easy on'm, but now is when we really need your strength!!"

"Ha haha" Siercon gives a chuckle. "Well let's see if we can find a couple bad ones for you to dice into little bits. And hopefully unless our doctor has been partaking in this bloodshed, we can drag him home."

"haha, very well. Please simply note I would have only placed him under a lullaby had he made a move on our friend... take no offense." Siercon fortunately caught himself from saying 'put him to sleep' and avoided the danger of sounding like he was going to kill him in an aloof racist way.

"Agreed, let's find out what's going on in this cave." Siercon repeats to the werewolf, "Who hired you?" As he proceeds into the cave. Siercon stayed alert with a hand on his wand just in case said werewolf decides Zark is a viking and attacks. Consider it overly cautious...

"I see" Siercon said, thinking to himself 'I must try a different approach with Lycan.' he then continued. "This doctor was obviously lured here, by someone with the final piece to the potion of eternal life. It is doubtful that Iskander is a Lycan, more likely he is a corrupt human or vampire lord... That is pitting Lycans and the doctor or more vampires against each other. Regardless killing the doctor is probably exactly what he wants. This Lycan here was hired for some job that was poorly explained and obviously a trap. The doctor was possibly given the same treatment... This is a set up. Let us not do the devils clean up work. Lets find the true puppet master."

"A devious angel... As of yet we don't know entirely what is going on. You cannot save all your kinsman who are under attack today, be that here or elsewhere in this world. It is more than you can handle alone. If this vampire is responsible, simply killing him wont gain us a reward, or the potion of eternal life. Wait for our opponent, whoever he may be to reveal their hand... Trust me if you can control your appearance, and if he is responsible would you rather strait up kill him or watch his face when he realizes, in his dying breath that he gave his legacy of life to a Lycan and his friends? Lycan Dean. This requires great poise... can you do it?" Siercon said in a whisper... with the subtlest flicker in his eyes, if they could be seen in shadow of his cowl. Still Siercon knew that there would be nothing enticing enough to get Lycan to wait long enough to understand what was going on, than the promise of a greater revenge.

Siercon anxious not to loose sight of Lycan looks at Zark. "We need to follow him." he said. "Don't lose sight of him. You there!! Whats happening inside. Answer quickly." Siercon positions himself ready to bolt inside the cave leaving room for two or three brief sentences from our cowering Lycan visitor. Questions new lycan. After this brief pause he follows Lycan into the cave. "Lycan Dean!!!" he shouted out, so all of Eurbic Highway could hear. "If there is any Dean left you must listen to me! I have an idea! Just restrain your anger for a moment. Turn and speak with me." He could see a flinch in the werewolf, as it obviously heard him... the question is did he understand? But he must understand, no matter how much of an animal he had become Sylvanias Cowl can reach him. Siercon waits for Lycans reply and follows Lycan into the cave.

Meanwhile Siercon unrolls his bedroll and lies down. It's all very interesting, and he does his best to pay attention, while his heavy eyelids sink. Perhaps tomorrow I can... but he didnt finish his thought. OoC: Remember to change your stats :) we all gained a lvl and items. I think I'm the only one who needs to rest...

"Well done guys! Zark you placed some excellent blows, including killing their leader!" Turning to Lycan Siercon continued. "You did great, you took some pretty big hits that would have left either Zark or I more than stunned. Way to take a couple for the team!' With this Siercon sifted through the burning remains of the Minotaur he had consumed in light. There was no gold, but several other items caught his foot as he shuffled around. "Looks like we got some keepers guys!" he shouted "Especially for you Zark" he said with a smile. Siercon handed the Tetsubo to Zark. "I think I'll hold on to this shield, unless you guys want it?" Siercon keeps the sheild "And Lycan you can totally have this warhammer... to bad neither of us can use any of these things but, hopefully we can get a pretty penny for'm" Siercon gave the warhammer to Lycan and took a seat on the grass. "Does that sound fair to you guys?"

You're doing great! :D Don't beat yourself up :) We're having a blast, thanks so much for the work your putting in it! This is another general question... Lots of people have specialized weapons. Names mainly. The great sword of hellfire, or some such names. The ones that are given out in quests are pretty obvious, but I was wondering if there was some sortof system where if you brickbuilt your own weapon in the same class and gave it a name, it would essentially transfer its stats just look different. Is this something that happens, or should I just wait for the perfect weapon to be invented by someone else? Example: Siercon is not going to wield a lullaby wand forever (doesn't suit him). If I brickbuild a staff, can it just have the exact same stats if I embellish it with a picture and a story? Like staff of the somniac or something... This applies to others too, Steph and I have many purist brickbuilt weapons that we havent posted online yet, that are around the complexity of our compound bow, and we'd be happy to personalize a variety of weapons if people would like? Thanks!

And... Not that this makes a difference for the last kill, but I believe my WP=8... So that would be 8*2+3=16 (still enough to kill the Minotaur, but not 25.) But if I'm wrong, awesome! :D... anyone, anyone, please ;) I might have made this confusing in my stats, where I just put "11" Should I change this to denote (8WP+lvl 3)? Or am i just in general missing something? P.S. It's probably already out there, but it would be cool to have an item that did roll over damage... Just a thought.

Battle Order: Siercon Zark Lycan (Stunned) "Wonderful, this staff works well." He whispered. "I must thank Namyrra next time we meet. Hang in there Zark you're doing great!" It was clear the staff could focus the little power he'd aquired, but the power of its lullaby was still locked within. Siercon took this opportunity to join his stunned lycan friend, in attacking the Chieftain. As he ran up, the almost full waxing moon shown behind them battle. He feared this might be the deep breath before the transformation. Lycan may be stunned for now, but in a moment... he could unleash. "I pity the cow" he said in a deep black mans voice... Siercon attacked Savage Minotaur Chieftain with a Holy spell through his Lullaby Wand from the back row.

I'd say brickbuilt. You have the opportunity to do whatever you want with it. It can fit your story better, and in general can have a better video flex (flags waving, trees bending, grass blowing, and you can end up with a nice MOC if you put effort into it :)

"Festoon is a pretty fancy word for such tiny widdle golden horns. I don't think your rack is big enough to adorn anything." Siercon said delivering it in a slight baby voice towards the minotaur cheiftan. OoC: excellent word choice btw!

Battle Order: Siercon Lycan Zark "Indeed I will. Let's take them on full force!" Siercon stated. His face was stern, though one could hear a slight smile in his voice. "Zark try to work on that tribesman, he looks like he'll take a few hits to break him down." With that Siercon attacked Savage Minotaur Warrior with a Holy spell through his Lullaby Wand from the back row. Focusing his magic powers through the new staff he tried to knockout his opponents subconscious and grip the beast in a dream.

"Pale skin and pointy teeth" this thought had crossed Siercon's mind. He thought it odd that a vampire would research eternal life... But he was sure there was a reason. Looking at Mia, Siercon said "Thanks for letting us know. And that sounds great about the potions. We will find your good doctor, and fix this sad mess as immediately! We could use your healing hands on the journey if you'd like to come, otherwise we shall be back soon!" Turning to the others he continued "lets go!" "Good to know, thank you for your extended trust. I shall call you friend, and carry a silver bullet. ;) Are you going to be ok with finding and rescuing our good doctor seeing that he is a vampire?" Siercon said "Will potentially old clan rivalries that impede you?" Siercon and the others leave towards Eubric Highway

"I agree. Still do we have everything we need here..." Siercon said, turning to Mia. "Do you know if he was working on anything specific before he disappeared? It would appear he's headed Eubric Highway, but if he has the ability to breath underwater or walk without fatigue, he could be very difficult to find." He noticed this hurt Mia, as if the doctor had just abandoned her and would run away from being found. Siercon cut in again trying to remedy any misunderstanding. "What I mean is, if he was working on something like eternal life people would do anything for it. And if he had other potions, or the ability to make potions of endurance of water breathing, that is something an enemy or captor could capitalize on. They could be using it now." There was a medium pause. "Was he working on these two potions recently, or do you have these potions or the materials for them? And can you tell us about Iskander?" There was an awkward silent little conversation of body language as Siercon used minor telekinesis to gently tug the letter out of Lycan's belt, gesturing it towards Mia. Siercon handed both the book and the letter to Mia. OOC: @ Lycan. If there's a way to achieve random potions I'll stay for a few replies :D otherwise let's go!

"Ah yes Lycan it is good to have you with us!" Siercon said. Lycan was the first one to investigate the scrolls. So rather than hover obnoxiously over his shoulder, Siercon walked around the rest of the room. He approached the cauldron in the middle of the room and investigaed it. Waving some of the vapors towards himself like he learned in beginners alchemy, he gave it a sniff to determine what was in this cooker.

"Very true." Siercon said "He's usually on time, I do wonder... But, perhaps you can fill us in on what happened while we wait, and I can catch him up when he gets here?" OOC: I sent him a message on Flickr and his email as well. I'd give him another day :D Once he's on board he'll check in all the time, he wont be like this every round ;)
