Siercon and Coral

First I think this is a great little site. You did a solid job and made it entertaining. The addition of the mouse over makes it work so much better. I like how that makes it become more about the builds than the ranks. Cause even beyond the 'leaders' there are some great little figure ideas and techniques spread throughout. I'm not entirely familiar with the Elo system, but I'm assuming that if say this was going at its current rate for over a year, and then someone brought in a new player. If deserving, he could still ascend quickly right? If so I think this would be something totally worth expanding. Or if not expanding, placing in a smaller, but more prominent spot. Perhaps talk to classic-castle.com and see if you can get a small permanent link, or even here on eurobricks, otherwise i give it until this post hits page two and it'll start to die :(. I just think you'd need to find something that can constantly refresh and get traffic. Maybe even a flickr group with a sticky post could work. That way people would see that there is new material. Then multiple threads could be created, for space, castle... Lmk if im not making sense. :) You could also leave a little blurb for people to add stories or character bios? If this gets huge... there may even need to be a ground out level. If you descend below __00 then that pic is retired. :-/ otherwise people may not plod through the mass of photos to vote. I also totally agree with what you guys are saying about people being able to swing the vote. But, if someone is gonna sit there and try to compete with dozens of others who are honest and impartial... lol they need to go find a job or something, and it's usually pretty obvious. "How did that get there?" I dont think there is much you can do about it, and as long as it's fun it's barely worth the headache to bother with. Sorry for all the unwarranted thoughts/suggestions! I could honestly have been happy to simply say you have a great idea, and you've done a great job with it! Keep it up :D

"Aw hey thanks! I really appreciate it. My name is Siercon" He said with a broad smile that quickly turned into a one of those expressions one gives right before providing an excuse to leave. "I was actually just thinking how it was odd it was that you ran off saving me from having to do the same. Which, of course... I must do now." Siercon frowned, but taking a sip before shuffling into the 'I'm about to leave pose', he said thank you so much, this is very good. You'll have to show me how to make it. I promise we'll sit down to talk at some point. I'd be very interested in hearing your story and learning all about various adventures you've had!" And with a look of sincerity and the offer of a firm handshake, he went with NO.1 towards his second quest. Wondering what kinda of stories he was missing out on from the elite sorcerer he just had to leave. But, it was a unique day, and he had to make stories of his own.

Siercon stepped up first. "Hi, I'm Siercon" He said with a genuine smile. It was nice to run into a cute happy herbalist in a world so often filled with elaborate and harsh magical things. And, if Siercon wasn't taken, he probably would have asked her out. "Thanks for letting us help!" OOC: I think Lycan Dean (Theboywonder) bought his cowl. But if he still has it, yes it has the same effect. + You're doing a great job (nice quest build) :) I'm sure it will be a joy to participate in your first quest! Thanks for having us aboard :D

"Odd" he thought,"But then I was just about to do the same thing to him. One day I suppose we'll have time for some formal introductions." With that he went immediately back to the south entrance and waited, throwing the robe on as he ran. If anyone was watching this interaction... It might have seemed... odd.

"Oh wait!" he thought. "Maybe he can get something with this wee bit of gold before embarking" He remembered that Arthur was trying to get rid of a robe. Maybe he would accept 20 gold for it. Finding him after about a minute and stumbling just in time to hear his last statement, he walked over. "I only have 11 gold right now, but I'd be happy to give it to you for the robe of the magi, and pay you the rest when I get back." he offered. Siercon handed the 11 gold to Arthur.

Siercon walked to the south end of the guild hall. "Sweet I'll get to go on another quest with L'Oreal, and a good one at that." he thought to himself. "and It'll be nice to meet and work with Zark." Well, I suppose I'll just wait here. Siercon leaned up against the wall leaving the other two chair for his quest members, as he awaited their arrival. Seeing another person there, who was not L'Oreal, and definitely couldn't pull off being a "Zark" Barbarian, he waited for them to introduce themselves... If they so desired.

Siercon could have sworn he signed up for Quest 38. "Well I suppose there is no harm in scribbling my name down yet again, besides I totally could have missed it" he thought to himself as he finished writing at the board.

Siercon sells his original staff for 15 gold. It's sad to trade away the instrument of his first Heroica spell, but he had a better one now so he figured it was time to move on. He also buys 2 potions @ 5gp each. 6+15-2(5)=11 Siercon now has a total of 11 Gold

"Ah Lycan you are here, I hope your quest went well. I can give you the staff for that price" Siercon hands Lycan the frog paladin's staff for 60gp. Walking across the Guild Hall, Siercon looks for Namyrra and holds up his newly acquired 60gp. "Will you accept this now and 60 gp in the future for your lullaby wand? Giving you a total of 120 gp?"

Siercon remembers he forgot to sign up for quest 40 as well, or might have before his last quest... Carefully so as to not look like he has made a blunder he walks over to the quest board and leans up against it as if to just 'study' the names.... while in all actuality we was just making sure his name was on everything it could be, with quest 40 included.

Siercon signs up for quest 45.

"Thank you very much!" Siercon says handing Erik 35 gold for the scroll of sleep. "The quest went very well. we defeated the frog and brought Barkley to justice. Thank you for asking!"

So, I'd like to resurrect this thread simply because several of the answers are now obsolete... and I cant find anyone :P If I find the answer, I'll post it, but for now... Does anyone have any updated info?

Siercon still sat there on his little bench watching the heroes walk back and forth on their various missions. The he saw Eryk Tyrvarr! He had memorized all of the names of anyone who got an unexpected scroll in the lottery. "He's a barbarian" he thought, "maybe he'll sell it to me?" Approaching Eryk, Siercon said "Hey, congrats on getting a scroll in the lottery! You wouldn't perchance want to sell your scroll of sleep for say 35 Gold?"

Awesome build :D Love the clouds and the velvet feel the water portrays. Very cool! :) Sigh wish we could see it in person some time. I would have to guess that the build is.... 1.38113207547 Meters tall. ;)

Thank you SO much! Everyone, honestly you are all to kind, and we are very sorry it has taken this long to respond. Life has been crazy with moving this to the convention and then moving into a new house this following week. Super busy! I think we're exhausted just taking it to BF2012 and then moving it into our new basement lol. So that's probably it's last public appearance for some time. But we'll keep on building and maybe post up some videos :D But if your ever in MD, come on over and see it in person, we'll feed you food and watch a movie or build!P.S. But i suppose that doesn't count. I'd have to say the stairs up the sides of the trees. Very annoying and not sequential. There is no pattern and it a real pain. There was no way to time it with the anchor points in the tree and was not able to be a perfect circle. The required blemishes/strait sides to the circle were random as well... That probably doesn't make much sense but I could explain it in person. basically if it broke I couldn't fix it w/o starting over. Aw thanks. Um asked Blake if he could edit it on Photoshop to get the white background. for taking the picture we basically throw as much light as possible at it (in this case 8 headlamps not including the rooms lighting). Then we take a bazillion photos and pick the best one or two... not the most efficient ;P but it works lol. Haha, thanks! Just don't jump on anything that isn't completely sound and will kill you, or have you falling to your death... and then sue us. :) And if your in MD anytime swing on by or shoot us a message.Again, sorry we didn't reply to everyone or quickly, but you guys are awesome and your comments are so encouraging. Siercon walked into the hall and back up to the quest board. He felt as though he had learned so much, but there was still so much to learn. He read the description of every quest. Then he signed them all. He signed up for 38 (except his name was already there), 43, 44, and the Fields of Glory. He figured he'd probably only get to go on 44, but at this point fighting and learning for free sounded fine. Then he took a seat on one of the nearby benches and watched the various heroes come and go. There seemed to be a lot of people 'hero watching'...

"Thank you very much L'oreal!" Siercon said picking up the staff. He then looked at Russel and Pigley almost as if to be dismissed. "Our work is done here? Do we need to help escort this hound to the pound?" he promptly regretted saying such lame rhyme.

"Sweet, loot! Well for starters L'oreal, you automatically get a potion(or a potions worth) for using one on our friends. So don't consider one of the potions in your loot divvying. I think we all agree you should have it prior to the breakdown." Siercon said, leaning up against a tree. "What would you say to taking all the potions and gold and leaving me the staff?"

Siercon was please with how effective the spell was and repeats the process. "I'll cover for you! Com'on Pillow!" He said. He then attacked Pullis from the back row with a holy spell channelled through his staff. OOC: So even though Pullis is a 'dark' necromancer frog, is he counted as a standard 'beast' (asking in regards to my light spells :)

"Yield Toad!" Siercon stated fully capable of telling difference between a toad and a frog. "Your dark magic cannot withstand the four of us." With this he draws upon his strength to attack Pillus with a light spell through his staff from the back row. The exertion starts to show as the delayed effect of the effort Siercon made from his previous spells have now caught up to him. Regardless he presses forward! OOC: I suppose that we cant distribute the drops from the first fallen in a battle... ie we dont have access to those potions until the battle is over?

"just in case this doggie survives their attack I'll try to finish him off." Siercon said. This may be a wasted attack, but he wanted to make sure errors cost them at this crucial increase momentum. Siercon attacks Barkley with a light spell through his staff from the back row. A light spell he is very anxious to use on this dark little froggy!
