  1. Inserted at some convenient point during the chaotic scene... Siercon notices Kiray's armor, and is reminded that it is pretty cool. Flameproof Armor - (SP:1, immune to Fire; bodywear, suitable for anyone) Was bored and made a picture for your armor, if you so desire. It was already lying around the house from this moc :)
  2. Turning to U'Daras, Siercon says: "This is Actaeon, our party leader. I spoke first only out of urgency." Siercon stepped back and gave an open hand gesture to Actaeon. The then walked to Germ and asked. "What exactly happened when you were at the training grounds?" He continued. "I assumed we would be facing lightning and dark magic... I simply forgot I could remove the gem, If I had purchased the Unicorn horn , as it was somewhat weak and helmet defense can hardly ever be increased."
  3. Siercon replied, "No clue, it doesn't seem to be manipulating us to do anything. but I suppose that is just from a superficial reading... And I suppose he was knocked out for a bit?" Siercon chuckles for a second, but then holds it up to the light and ponders. "Mallelio, maybe you might see something? Want to help me inspect this again?" Siercon figured if there was anyone who could help dissect such a generic message it would be him. Siercon pulls Mallelio aside in hopes to gain some insight. ...... Siercon steps forward with a slight bow and a respectful nod. "Lady U'Daras, we were delayed by an assassination attempt on the Emperor at the hands of Tarban. This unfolded directly in our path as we were on our way rushing to this city. I believe this and the injuries sustained have delayed us the most. Is there anything we can do to help, or are they perhaps close enough to pursue?"
  4. Siercon thinks he'll save his gold for another day. And reads the letter from ella while sitting around a small bonfire. 'Finally some down time.' he thought. 'now's probably the calmest it will get before the storm. I truly hope we can save both of the dragoons.' Then he goes to sleep on his bedroll to regain his strength. Edit* Siercon tossed and turned and couldn't shake wanting to purchase the Guardian Feathers. Siercon buys Guardian Feathers for leaving him with 20 Gold. 60-40=20
  5. Siercon steps up to Kiray. He notices that the potions are priced at 3x the standard price. While she is about to make her purchase for the potion which will leave her with 16 gold he speaks up. "Kiray, wait... here." He then hands her a potion. "Take this potion of mine, and rather upgrade your shield to lvl 3." If it's not too late, and she accepts, can this action be taken? This will leave Kiray with 1gp, my potion, and a lvl 3 shield. The Rito weapons cost half to upgrade forever, or just here at this time by the Rito? i.e.... if I take it to the marketplace way later will he 'find it easier to upgrade?' and charge less? Also, is the Conductor Helmet an artifact? or will I be able to dawn it immediately? Siercon gratefully takes a Sanctified Rito Spear. and will spend more money when his questions are answered ;)
  6. "Thank you kindly Sir. Please thank Princess Ella, and let her know that I will read it soon." Siercon then tucked the envelope away, assuming that they might set camp or find a more relaxed moment. He honestly wondered what was in the message but did not think in the present mood, with blood and tension hanging in the air was the best time. Siercon replied to Germ "Huh, yeah perhaps, that could be helpful! I honestly hadn't gotten that far yet, I'll probably read it tonight once we have a bit of time to relax." OoC Haha, yeah I've found that there is FAR more rolling of dice than one might think, in games like these and D&D... So usually the Mod doesn't hate anyone, just laughs at you along with fate and chance ;D "You'll just want to be careful" Siercon said with a chuckle... "Those who give out nicknames too much, often have a hard time getting many of theirs to stick. And then they've usually made enough people desirous of playful nickname revenge that they in return get a terribly stupid one that does stick.... " With this he trailed off with a comical but low 'mwahaha'
  7. A very faded projection of Siercon walks into the room through the wall. He has trouble grasping the pen and paper, but manages to fumble his name upon a small piece of parchment. Siercon signs up for the raffle. As his projection fades into nothingness, and the connection is slowly recoiled to his current quest, Siercon thinks to himself... "I suppose an owl might have been easier.."
  8. Siercon gratefully accepts the Robe of the Dastanian Pongcanis Champion and gives Warlen both the Spellbound Gloves and Robe of the Magi "Con-man is fine with me" Siercon said with a laugh. "But now I'll have to come up with something for you...humm" He then continues over to Kiray and gives Kiray 16 gold. (leaving him with 60) "I think this is the least I can do to chip in, and I believe you made the right decision, though I'm sure we'll be wanting another one sometime soon." Lastly, Siercon said. "We've lost some valuable time here. Though it was time well spent, we should hurry to the settlement and try to get some rest and weapons we will need for Dragoon control. Mallelio, I wouldn't tell you to go against your conscience in this matter, but if the party fails, or even more likely, along the way, more lives than two will likely be left in your healing hands." Still, it saddened Siercon greatly as he considered his amphibious friends in great pain.
  9. Siercon piped up, as the conversation unfolded. Besides it seemed like his turn to speak, and he really wanted that robe. "I would have to agree with the others sentiments on this. And personally, I'm all in for the Robe, and would like to consider other options that would end up with me having it, especially since I am typically a front row mage. I have other items that if considered, I believe we would find a more fair distribution. Warlen, would you consider it fair if you keep my spell bound gloves and my magi's robe so I can have this item? (remember you can still only equip one artifact at a time for a while) Or perhaps if you would prefer a scroll of sleep, or gold? That is if the others are leaving it between Warlen and I. Thoughts?"
  10. Haha, I think an "I'll pay you back" might go farther :P *though I'd be happy to chip in a little if people want to do a community pot ;)
  11. Actaeon: KO'd Heroes cannot participate or be healed unless brought back by special items. Also if KO'd still at the end of battle you wont gain exp. (plead with Kiray) Germ: That throwing weapon would be immensely helpful considering Flipz has been kind enough to round nicely. It will make Tarbans attack drop a point. Kiray: *Secondary Party Leader* You are the only one with an item that could revive Acetaeon if you so chose. I think it would be worth 50 gp to him/us to level up this battle. Warlen: Use a potion. If you don't want to use one of yours I'll donate. But one should probably be used with a "unless healed by another player, then i'll attack xyz" caveat. Mallelio: should probably heal Warlen early in the battle order. Daeth: Should probably heal Germ just after Mallelio heals, or he could get KO'd **Germ and Warlen are in danger of getting KO'd in the back row this next round.** Siercon quickly retaliates attacking Tarban from the back row with a lightning spell.
  12. 'If only the next two rounds end up similar to that last one!' Siercon thinks to himself. "Thank you Daeth! Much appreciated!" Siercon says allowed before starting his next incantation. 'That saves me from using a potion, and gives me another attack a moment sooner.' he thought. Siercon casts a light spell on Tarban from the back row. While gripping his diamond tightly in his hand, Siercon pulsed as much magic as he could towards the furry brute. OoC Thank you Actaeon, action adjusted: Siercon casts a light spell on Unarmed Pongcanis Warrior from the back row.
  13. OOC: So when I read this in the rules and facts: Q: What does it mean that when several enemies get Free Hits on the same hero, their attacks are combined? A: It means that when two or more enemies attack one hero during the Free Hit phase, their damage input is added together. The hero's Shield Points (SP) are only taken into a count once. For example, when two Level 5 enemies attack a hero with 5 SP, their combined attacks allow 5 damage to surpass the defense. This way even low level enemies have a chance of damaging a hero with high SP. From what you're saying, this would only be applied from enemies to heroes, not from heroes to enemies? i.e. heroes don't get free hits? Sorry for all the extra questions :P Thanks so much for all the clarifications!
  14. OOC You might want to consider pushing him forward. He's got 7 sp, lots of health, and 18 power. Siercon still attacks Tarban from the back row with a lightning spell. OOC Sorry guys, I didn't quite expect them all to be able to 1 hit KO me from the front row. Currently I can survive a round against any of them from the back row. Except for these two scenarios, while in the back row. 1. I get hit by any of them + get hit by Tarban's special IV 2. I get hit by Unarmed Pongcanis Warrior's special (12%*1/6=KO) Resulting preference is continually fighting Tarban from the back row. This will ensure that I wont get KO in one round (as long as he stays at lvl 12 or below.) Last suggestion is to just pile on everyone but 2 people on Tarban due to his SP2. We only have to take into account his SP once per round, and would be nice to deal out added damage, and delete his call for aid. Of course we'd have to leave a person each on the others to avoid free hits. Also, am I correct in assuming from what Mallelio said, that he will ONLY be there to heal for us, and cannot be used in offense at all?
  15. Seeing the struggle start from a distance, Siercon figured as much. It was clear from how he spoke that this one simply wanted the throne. Besides he was quite perturbed to have wasted his time coming up with a reasonable solution for an obviously dull brute. He was more than happy to kick in his fluffy skull. Siercon drinks his Trial Brew. This leaves him with 6 Ether, and 6 Health. He thinks to himself I MUST stay on my feet. But he doubted that there would be a better opportunity than this 6 on 1. He then rushes over to the battle and seeks to cast a lightning spell from the back row with his newly acquired topaz.
  16. Siercon shakes Dragonlord's hand "Thank you sir for everything you've done for us. I will do my best to gain favor among the house of Shadeaux and with our stray dragoons. One day soon I hope to become a brother." "Thank you greatly." Siercon says with sincerity "This will likely be of great use. The scroll will probably be of even greater use. We can also see if we can find you a better staff on our way." ----------------- Siercon hears the conversation out... "How can we know Can you not tear it down yourself? Not only will the job get done faster, but it will strengthen morale, break the " Septrine, and the Tethusial Quarter falls under Emperor Alandri's "The duty of tearing down the wall was agreed to be under Emperor Alandri, even though the wall is property of Emperor Septrine's. Arbitrarily switching deconstruction forces without consulting with Alandri will simply lead to anger and stonewalling. It is an insult to his choice for a temporary delay, and to the work he has been conducting graciously thus far." Siercon continued. "If you truly want the wall to be removed as quick as possible; you should wait until Alandri returns, and then aid him and his men in the deconstruction yourselves. This will not only promote an equal rights status, but heighten morale as you physically deconstruct a source you consider demeening. When this occurs, Septrine will have an easy choice to aid as well, given it would have become public cultural statement on their own wall. Siercon hoped they undersood, and finished off with a simpler ultimatum. "If we take action without talking to Alandri, you pit us and yourselves against him. Find out from him why he has delayed, for we don't know ourselves. There is likely a very good reason. Regardless, don't lose the opportunity to accomplish this task 3 times faster because you cannot be patient, and prove to all that you can play politics well. Siercon ended. You have the opportunity to earn more than just a slowly deconstructed wall. Allies, their respect, power, peace, a their diligence."
  17. "Ah" Siercon responded, "I more than anyone want to reason with them, and bring them back around without any conflict. However, I think if we were to go as weaker/half wounded heroes without any means to counteract them, we would stand little chance to win them over. This whole thing started from the pride of seeking the title of 'The Best Dragon Rider'. I fear they may scoff at a rag tag team sent to 'bring them back' or 'stop their fun'" Siercon continued, "But I have to agree, with Actaeon... Do we know nothing about these two? We have been in such a hurry it seems we may be forgetting something simply like their family or friends who could greatly help and may command some influence."
  18. "It sounds like the Rito settlement has weapons we will be needing very much. I know I can't fly... let's meet up with Denerii I fear we will greatly need her help. Besides it's pretty much on our way." Siercon said.
  19. Is there a master items list, that lists all items, their pictures, and what they do? Kinda like the marketplace, except more in depth?
  20. Siercon chimes in "But for starters, we were hoping to find safe passage, and perhaps a place to rest or eat?" OOC: If I were to use this Trial Brew, and it is to half my SP, would the resulting 1/2 be rounded down or up per attack? Cause I suppose I'm at the sadly perfect SP of 1 that would make the brew's effect on SP null...?
  21. Siercon was slightly frustrated that his little nap seemed to be pointless. So since being forced from indulging in his laziness, he decided to go on several personal mini missions. The deck boards squeaked under his feet, but barely added to the general rattle of the turbulence. --------------------------------------- He figured his first task was to search the lay of the land as he had done when they took off. Perhaps he might catch some clue as to the teams potential peril, or best routes to take on their journey. Siercon searches the world below. There was really not much for him to memorize as he didn't know many landmarks. Still he thought, "I'd like to know what I'm getting into... will we be fighting on forest? desert? marsh?..." --------------------------------------- Siercon broke his concentration as it slowly drifted into pretending he was dragon gliding through the sky. "Task two!" he thought to himself, spurring him past any preference for sleep. He walked over to the now ignored and busted vibrataphone, and brings it to Nicole. "Just the woman I was hoping to see!" he approaches her with a friendly sort of wave and proceeds. Placing the damaged vibrataphone as if it was a member of the conversation he continued with a gesture towards it. "Can you repair this at all? Or perhaps show me how to blow into this horn to repeat the effect?" "Wha-a, what..." Nicole was clearly wrestling with the idea that Siercon had brought it aboard... Siercon cut in "Oh no, no! This isnt mine, and I definitely wouldn't have never wished doom upon this incredible vessel. but this heap of rubble does in fact it have me quite intrigued." Siercon continued. "All of your vibrataphones are clearly vastly superior, but to some degree the inferiority of this one seems to have had a different effect than one of yours. Otherwise your shop at home would constantly be attacked by birds, or we would have heard this one during our journey..." Nothing makes for an interesting battle, than your own cinematic background music. "Anyways, I digress..." He figured he'd better speak his mind simply. "This vibrataphone seems to be a quiet machine that summons monsters, and was quickly built. Is there any way you can help me reconstruct it? Even if it manages to be a few use only sort of contraption?" Nicole seemed to consider Siercon's question, as she took the pile of the crumpled vibrata-wannabe and weighed it against the speed of her impending landing responsibilities... --------------------------------------- Siercon figured this would be a good time to let the mechanical genius think. So he set off to find Stealth Shadow. He barely started to move, when he realized Stealth Shadow was essentially already there... So Siercon addressed him, and found himself passively including Nicole in the conversation. "You! Yes, you were fabulous during that battle!" Siercon wished he had a baby Automaton. "How, if you don't mind me asking, how do you work?" He wondered if it was mostly magic or some kind of ultra tiny super complex gadget. Siercon remembered he was talking to a logical and methodical creature, and stated which was now obvious. "Are there pet sized automatons available?" He was indeed completely serious in his question. Still, he gave a self forgiving chuckle. This was just in case his comment was considered a joke, he could pretend it was on purpose. .... --------------------------------------- OOC. Hopefully, the text isn't overboard, but I figured it would be better than just quickly asking for a bunch of stuff ;P
  22. Siercon looks over the edge of the ship and tries to gauge the distance between them and their destination. He figured he had time for a quick catnap... even if it was just 10 minutes. But who knows perhaps landing might take longer than he expected. Siercon huddles down on his bedroll in an obscure corner of the ship.He wouldn't get a full nights sleep, but every little bit would help. Besides, he had a sneaking suspicion that he didn't want to see how this thing "landed".
  23. Ooo a build a tiny turtle contest!? :D
  24. Siercon reassured her, "I'm not suggesting anything, just that if it was completely foreign it that would imply someone created it and brought it here intentionally to cause harm. But if it's just one of yours, someone could have easily just been listening to it for fun without knowing it might bring trouble." Siercon could see himself falling asleep to the vibraphone as a harmonic din, conducive to sleep. So he finished saying, "Anyone want to fess up, and give a reasonable explanation to this?" He thought, 'if no one says anything, then they're either scared of getting in trouble, or know they intentionally caused it... This could be an issue. Fortunately no harm was done... For now.'
  25. Siercon seemed slightly confused. "A vibrataphone? So this a different one than the one in the shop, and isn't one of yours?" He asked Nicole. He hardly had a enough time with the last vibrataphone to recognize it in this shape. Turning to Dragonlord he thought to himself. "So you think it was planted intentionally...? humm..."
