  1. Me too It's always nice to see more interest in WW MOCs.
  2. This one was fun. I think nice creations like this deserve a good photo and background.
  3. Nice job mrblue. You're really becoming an expert with these digital designs (although I'd really like to see this brick-built). Great colors and I like the stripes. Nice job on the door as well.
  4. I find this to be pretty clever - and creative. I'm not sure how air-tight it is , but it's neat to see a Medieval submarine (sort of a Da Vinci-like creation). It has that Steam Punk look about it. I like the use of the half barrels at each end, and the entire scene with it underwater looks nice (although I think you should add some additional underwater greenery). Good job! Now lets take a deep dive to see how this thing handles:
  5. You've got a whole City sub-theme going here - love watching the bumper cars going bump. The Aquarium structure looks really neat as well.
  6. Don't forget that he needs to be holding a Classic Castle-style pitchfork (and we don't want the cheap Atlantis trident plastic either).
  7. If you have interest in the theme, I would suggest that you take some time to comment about Wild West creations that have been shared in the forum. I can't say that I recall seeing your input. In addition, as Etzel mentions above, you can share one yourself. That's always a start. I still like to play it.
  8. Very enjoyable to watch. I love the horror music, especially the boiling vat - and a nice ending with Vincent's laugh from Thriller. This reminds me of a Ghost Train creation. The graveyard and kitchen are my favorite rooms. Overall, a very well done MOC.
  9. Interesting tanker design. The more square-shaped tanker works well. Nice job on the upside down ends and side railing.
  10. Built for a recent LEGO building contest, CoolerTD creates this ornately detailed Arch. You can find it in the Town forum.

    Arch

  12. Not exactly. Many have been collecting Castle for a long time. Themes do get old, regardless of how many new sets LEGO offers. It's like City Fire and Police Stations. We know that we'll always see them in one shape or another; but then again, for the adult fan who has been collecting/buying LEGO for 10-20 years (maybe longer), do you really want another Fire station in your town? Maybe, but how about a Fire Brigade? Timeless themes can become tiresome if not reinvigorated well. Sets like the Medieval Market Village and Dwarve Mine has helped, but is it enough to keep the interest of Castle fans who have thousands of grey/bley pieces with more grey castles offered? Perhaps? but not all Castle fans may think so, and that's not to say they're displeased with seeing LEGO Castle continue (at least I'm not).
  13. Beautiful Cooler! I love how you created the actual arch - far beyond my LEGO building ability. Very impressive.
  14. Very nice Cagri -your're Cargo Train is coming around nicely. I really like your building style. Your train cars always look so smooth and clean, almost like they're not made out of LEGO. I also like the shorter length reminding me of Euro-LGB trains. Davey: that's a beautiful engine. Those colors are very unique - it would make a wonderful LEGO creation.
  15. Front-paged!
  16. What's new in the EB Train Tech Forum? How about this Monterey & Salinas Combo built by Cooper? Utilizing plates as opposed to bricks, Cooper is able to create a wooden-wall look along the sides of his nicely designed combo wagon. The interior even has some sliding curtains for added privacy. Check out this LEGO Train car today!
  17. Very nice Coop. 7-studs wide - very nice indeed. I love the tan, and the windows look really good with the extra few layers of clear plates. It has a fine roof design and an equally nice interior. The striped curtains are a fine touch. My only recommendation is to add some custom decals to the sides. Are you planning to build any additional cars or an engine to pull this great wagon?
  18. You know - I had not thought of that. Now that you mention it, I've got a lot of red roof pieces as well (although they're the 3x4s). I was thinking of the overall look, and I can't say that I recall seeing a red-roofed LEGO castle as an official set.
  19. Thank you for extending this invitation to our EB and Train Tech members Beatnik, on Steve's behalf. I have moved this topic to our Train Tech forum if anyone is interested.
  20. Honestly, I would have thought that the Pirate theme would have outlasted Castle with a few different Castle sub-themes offered in the past year. Instead, we're soon to get Kingdoms - although I like the red roofs. They remind me of Playmobil.
  21. Definitely! LEGO went "hog wild" with the tractors in the theme. You'd think they had some partnership w/ John Deere. Some different vehicles would be nice.
  22. Thanks Bon. That's a really nice compliment. This is one of my personal favorites, but I'm not sure that I'd say it's my best work. I think the interior could be better, but there's something about the front design that made me keep it built after taking apart the rest of the Mexican Village. In fact, I had it set up in my Train Town for a while before the add-on: Interestingly, I made the front section toward the end of the Mexican Village build, after most of my tan pieces had been used. The village would not have been complete without a Spanish Mission though, so this was the result. I showed a few of the pictures to a friend that made a similar comment - maybe it's just the removable roof and the extra interior that adds to the overall quality. My Grimwell Manor used a lot of tan and arches as well, and probably had more exterior detail: In any case, thanks again for the nice feedback.
  23. Interesting topic. I was recently working with the Indy mine tracks which offer additional opportunity for a narrow gauge track (as Richie mentions above). I was trying to attach some straight track pieces from the Drarves Mine and was unsuccessful. It would be nice if LEGO either offered curved tracks pieces again (from the 12V era) or made some straight track in narrow gauge. Without either, it's difficult to make that narrow gauge line. I have been wanting to make a small mining train for a long time now. Beautiful engine Sruff!
