  1. Never saw this one Sieg. It's definitely going way back. I had no idea LEGO offered a train with whistle. Neat!
  2. This is a really nice design Taltos. I'd love to see this actually built. The shed has a nice clean design and the gravel/sand sifter looks like it could really work. How I wish LEGO would offer a set like this. Nice job!
  3. There's been a storm in the EB History Forum! Lolas picks up the pieces to create a LEGO diorama called After the Storm:
  4. Welcome Bricktrix. I'm a big fan of your creations, especially Corfe Castle Station. It's great to have you part of our LEGO Train community. Hope to see you share some of your creations here in Train Tech.
  5. Nice use of the Appletree House roof (or at least the same color). Nice clean design that looks very pleasing to the eye. I like how the front and back are set in front of the roof. Your crosses look very good as well. I'm a fan of these little churches, and this looks great! Oh, and great job on the bell! One recommendation: place a few 1x2 dark grey tiles in the arched side windows to smooth them out. The contrast would look good as well, blending in with the corner bricks.
  6. Clever idea to create a mod boxcar Vgo. Have you created any additional shells? Nice practical design that would look good pulled by a diesel locomotive.
  7. Cagri: I always enjoy seeing your train cars. They always have a clean design and look fantastic. Nice use of the red hinge pieces, although I wish LEGO still used the old hinge pieces that were much more streamlined - I think there was an old blue gondola that had some (even a red one if I recall correctly). This is real nice though. I'd like to see an image of all your rolling stock together. Great job!
  8. Hinck or Seig would give you a swirley for that! Actually, I can completely understand. I still have a number of sets that I never got around to opening. I never planned to buy any of these modulars, but after a trip to Legoland California, another AFOL said something like, "the modulars are the best City sets that LEGO has ever made". I ended up buying a Cafe Corner, and then the race was on. Unfortunately, I did miss out on Market Street (but then again, it is a bit different than the other LEGO-designed sets). I have eagerly opened up each of the sets and have added to Train Town 6: After spending so much time building, if the table ever goes away, I'll set them up atop the old bookshelf. I don't want to take apart because I think they deserve to be displayed. Feather duster. They do work well and I was able to clean even the trains using one.
  9. Who voted for using it to host an EB mystery? -that was just a joke.
  10. Very nice Batbrick. While the outside looks fantastic, it's the detailed interior that has your signature style. I love the gangsters' board room and the large safe with door. This is packed with action and playability. When the Batman theme was first introduced, I actually tried building a Gotham Bank. It was a one sided, open back side blunder. Somewhere I have an image that I don't think I want to share. You; however, have done wonders at creating a modular structure fitting of the theme. I truly wish LEGO offered more than vehicles as part of the Batman theme (with the exception of the open Batcave and Asylum). Great job!
  11. Really nice Marco. These knights really have a Classic-Castle look to them. The one with the Crusader's Cross looks the best in my opinion.
  12. Wow! That's amazing Svelte. I think I like the three floor side-by-side choice the best (pictured in your fourth image). So how many sets do you plan to buy? Two, three, more? Is this your favorite of the modulars? I think it has a much more modern look than the others mods, and certainly looks nice stacked. Are you planning to make one large chandelier or any interior modifications? It's great to see you enjoying the Grand Emporium.
  13. Holy bank heist! Someone just spotted the Bat Signal in the EB Licensed forum! EB Fellow Batbrick has created a LEGO Batman Gotham Bank. If you haven't already seen it, make your way to the Batmobile and head toward the signal.
  14. Welcome Lieutenant (reminds me of a scene from Dances with Wolves). I've moved your topic to the "Hello! My Name Is..." forum. Hope you enjoy EB.
  15. Okay, you've built the Green Grocer or the Fire Brigade or (insert name of favorite modular here). It's been set up for 28 days. What do you do next? Does it stay intact within your Tabletown for the next decade to collect a thick layer of dust and other fall-out? Do you relocate it atop the bookshelf for a Brickster's Book-End? Does it quickly become a piece pile for your own outstanding modular vision in Svelte-like or Hinckley fashion? Or do you start an EB mystery game centered around the Grand Emporium's ornate chandelier (my good friend WhiteFang comes to mind). What do you do after the build? Discuss your thoughts here.
  16. I think it's fine to discuss hopes for a new set. Let's keep things fun and respectful to all.
  17. Very clever KR. It's always nice to see medical-related creations, not often built by LEGO fans. I think we need a LEGO Modular Hospital for placement of this and other well-needed medical equipment. What set is the plain white torso from? It worked well for the Rad Tech/assistant. Front-paged!
  18. LEGO health care just got a little better in the EB Town Forum. Town fan Kubik-Rubik has created a Tomography Machine. Tomography creates "sliced" images of the body, often times the brain, used in radiology. Now if we just had a new modular hospital for these diagnostic procedures.
  19. Definitely WhiteFang - must have been the cheerleader. I'll just take two cheerleaders.
  20. I hope I'm not as lucky with a Mexican with Sombrero. Seriously, it's great to see that you found one early, and equally nice that it's old TLG quality. I was a bit worried with all the talk of cheap Chinese plastic.
  21. Thanks for taking the time to share an early review. It's always nice to see new reviews on EB. Your pictures are quite a bit larger than our site guidelines of 800x600. I won't ask that you resize, but please watch your image size in the future. Much appreciated. -TB
