  1. Welcome hhcBrick. You've got a nice collection started. Thanks for sharing. I hope you enjoy the forum.
  2. LEGO Town fan Marcosbessa has certainly created some stunning MOCs. His latest, called Lionheart Villa, is definitely no exception. Utilizing a LEGO Prince of Persia color scheme; dark tan, light tan, and dark red, his LEGO Villa is certainly impressive. You can see more of his stunning creation in the EB LEGO Town Forum.
  3. Nice review. I find this to be an interesting set. Starting with the baseplate(s), I like the colors. The sub makes a neat little transport vessel and I especially like the use of yellow combined with the trans blue window elements. The four minifigs are like a little army of divers - neat helmets reminding me a bit of those from the Atlantis theme (but less bulky). The base may not be the best design, but it certainly offers a lot of play with components like the underwater gas tank. The large doors and dome piece look pretty neat adding to the aquatic feel. I was just looking at the conveyor belt - that's certainly an added value component. $90 over 10 years ago seems a bit high, but there are a lot of unique pieces, including all the printed parts. This set reminds me a little of the base/lab from Aquaraiders Invasion (7775), not so much in design, but rather in concept.
  4. Your interviews are always interesting Cap'n Z. Thank you for continuing to share these on EB. It is unfortunate that more members don't take time to comment. Maybe they'll see this topic and provide some feedback.
  5. Hi Catanas. I'm glad you finally decided to register, and as your first post here on EB, a GREAT BIG WELCOME! You might also consider posting a little intro in the "Hello My Name Is Forum" so that the non-train fans will have a chance to meet you as well. EB is a great community. Welcome Dr. D. It's certainly never too late to get back into the hobby (from someone who speaks from experience ). It's always nice to see more train interest among our Train Tech community, and it looks like you've got some other great LEGO interest, esp. IJ (one of my favorites as well). Hope you both enjoy the forum and I look forward to seeing your creations and topics.
  6. This is my largest set of the Desert/Egypt Adventurers sets and must say that it's a gem among my collection. I've used pieces within the set to make a few Egyptian MOCs over the years and really like all that it includes. 5 starts from me as well!
  7. The EB Train Tech Forum has a new LEGO Train MOC! Train fan Esben Kolind has a created a beautiful LEGO Power Functions High Speed Train. What's unique about his train is that it has automatic doors, close coupling lights, and even a rotating fan. This is a must see for LEGO Train fans!
  8. NEWS FLASH! ComMike has reviewed this set in the Licensed forum. Click Here
  9. How did I miss this review? Very nice indeed! I must have been underwater too long. I envy you for getting all these sets early CopMike. I probaby won't see this until June/July. I particularly like the engine and the passenger wagon - Can't believe those are all printed pieces. I look forward to seeing this on store shelves. Nice! EDIT: If you slapped a 9V motor on this set, where might you put it? I'm looking at your images of the engine. Does it lend itself to motorizing? (maybe with the new 8866 motor)
  10. I've been visiting this hangar bay periodically to watch the construction of the Enterprise. The bridge is coming along nicely. Scotty looks real good.
  11. Oh no! LEGO is trying to make us 'go green' with all these Smart Cars. Seriously, this is one of the best car transports that I've seen. I think yellow and grey works very well, and the design seems both functional and stream-lined. In fact, this would make a neat little set, although some car buying options to include color would be a nice plus for consumers. I want a red or light blue mini. Great job!
  12. I really like the yellow panel van. You did a great job at creating a classic-style vehicle. There's something almost magical about the 4-stud design. You might want to create a classic-style car wash next to clean those bricks though. . Nice creations.
  13. A deeplinked image would be appreciated, or at least a hyperlink to the folder.
  14. I have to agree with LT's comments above. I like both versions. The red and tan look good together. I've always been a fan of these types of German locomotives. I played with the HO versions as a kid. In fact, I still have this one: Nice!
  15. It's really neat to see Fort Legoredo expanded in such a way to create an all new larger fort. There's lots to see and do here. I especially like how you incorporated some of the other Wild West buildings like the jail house and the general store. It's interesting to see the large palms added to the WW theme, but I think they work. Overall, an impressive scene.
  16. Nice job KD. I really like the kitchen / 'chuck wagon'. You did an equally nice job on the figs. The LEGO Weapons Wagon was my first Wild West set, so I have fond memories of the official set.
  17. Thanks for the feedback fellas. Right from the Aquaraiders boxart. LEGO did a real nice job with these little extras. Me too - I've always liked all the LEGO underwaters themes (although some more than others). I'm still warming up to Atlantis. Maybe - I have all but the underwater base. I think LEGO did a real nice job on this sub. I was tired of the white sharks. You realize it's not a MOC though, right? You bet! This set has so much more to offer when one looks at the inner workings of the sub. Here's a few images of the inside: The sub is four studs wide inside with an extra one stud ledge on both sides. There's one chair for the captain but room for an additional seat: Lifting off the top of the rear section reveals a small engine for added playability: Underwater gear and tools can be attached to the different hooks: The interior really adds to the playability of the sub.
  18. There's been some Wild West interest shared in the EB History Forum recently. 'I Scream Clone' continues to expand his LEGO Western town of Tombclone by building a most impressive LEGO Gold Mine. Complete with a makeshift elevator mechanism as well as a mine car chase and gold deposits, fans of the LEGO Wild West theme will certainly come from miles around to visit Tombclone.
  19. This isn't a MOC but rather an experiment in photo editing an image of the sub from Aqua Raiders 7774 Crab Crusher. I was thinking about doing an image review, but got busy with the intro image and thought I'd share. I suppose you can call this the Creature Crusher.
  20. Are you a fan of 7-wide LEGO Train engines? If so, make sure you head over to the EB Train Tech Forum to have a look at Sergio's CP1400 English Electric. Bearing the familar color of Portugues Train Engines, Sergio creates another fantastic diesel LEGO Train engine with a custom decal that resembles the real deal. Make sure you check it out.
  21. Here's a brief tutorial as mentioned above.
