  1. Eurobricks wishes you a Happy Easter filled with lots of LEGO surprises! This creative LEGO Easter MOC was built by Skalldyr and can be found in the Other Themes Forum.
  2. Thanks - you're a detail man. I actually thought of the top hat after I took the photo-edited picture. I didn't want to redo after all the photo-editing time. Good suggestion though. I would have liked to make a brick-built worded sign, but the decal doesn't look too bad (IMO).
  3. We can call him Casper. I haven't added an interior yet, but when I do, I'll post a picture with the lights on.
  4. Outstanding MM! I think it's so clever to have used the wagon wheel in the manner that you did.
  5. Thanks for taking the time to comment guys. I've gotten a little better at making custom decals to the sizes needed - thanks BB My intent was to make something that could fit into a regular town/city without really looking too spooky/supernatural (another reason for the cypress tree). I'm debating on what to build next.
  6. Well, then let's take a look in greater detail, shall we? LT: Thank you. Your feedback and comments are always appreciated -and I love Scooby Doo . Front view: Close up of first floor: With open gate: Roof top: A close-up of the custom decal sign: On the right side are some Disney Haunted Mansion signs: These decals are from the 40th Anniversary of the Disneyland Haunted Mansion, by the artist known as Shag. I thought they were fitting as the Voodoo Lounge resembles an Antebellum mansion: Picture #1: Picture #2, I really like the colors in this one: The left side has three windows with classic green shutters: Now for some modular disassembly. The sign tilts to the right and the roof can be easily removed: Inside, you can see the two Classic Town lights - yes, this creation lights up with the old LEGO 3C battery box: The second floor can then be removed: To access the first: The backside is rather plain as it goes unseen and the rear wall can be removed for added accessibility: You'll also notice the plug-ins for the wires to the battery box: This creation was based on this inspiration image of a Halloween Village sculpture: And special thanks to BlueBard for posting his modular town creations here in the Town Forum. They provided me the idea to make a smaller version of a town/city modular with limited pieces. This particular creation is 14x14 studs with an extra one stud overhang on each side of the roof. Oh, and while I could have added a spooky brown tree with bats, I like the tall regal look of the cypress tree - plus I enjoy using Classic Town parts from time-to-time. I'm still thinking about what to include in the interior, and I may continue the "Moon Over Bourbon Street" collection. I'll leave you with some inspirational music by Sting: Comments are welcome.
  7. The midnight torches illuminate the old Antebellum structure. As the clock strikes twelve, the Witching Hour is at hand. Spirits and haunts begin to gather outside the Voodoo Lounge awaiting the Bourbon Street patrons. Frightening fun is at hand! My first modular town building, I present the Voodoo Lounge: I'll provide additional photos tomorrow evening.
  8. Unrelated to your MOC: EB does receive spam, some of which is automatically generated. I saw your topic title, then read your description which made no sense at the time. Then I saw this additional topic: Title: Dedicated to THE SHIELD Description: My personal "cameo" for my best Tv series"The Shield"! Vic, Shane, Lem, Ronnie, David, Danny, Dutch, Claudette, Tina and Julien! Without pictures or links to your creations (at the time of posting), or any indication that these were intended to be MOCs (by posting "MOC" in front of your topic name like other members in the Town forum), it looked like spam to me. I did leave both of your topics open in case it was due to technical problems. I just so happen to be reading some other Town Topics at the time of your posts. To remedy this next time, please post a description that provides a little more info - otherwise it looks like spam.
  9. If you plan to add a picture or link to a MOC, I'll leave this open for a brief period.
  10. Very nice! It's great to see an older style creation in the Town forum. Since some large cities still have these types of horse-drawn wagons pulling tourists and couples, I think this is fine for the Town forum. I like the design. The wagon is a good length, and the use of the curved pieces, as well as the angled plate works well. I love the back end with the chained chest. The figs work well (and must say that your choice of passengers is a fine one ). TheBrickster He is missing his cane/walking stick though. A magnifying glass would also tie in nicely. Great job! Now you need a nice town house or central park to go with it.
  11. Nice review Inconspicuous. While I find the whole shape of the boat rather blocky, I've always liked it. The tan, blue, and black colors go well with some of the Samurai castles, and it makes the perfect transporation method. It is funny to see Ninja rowing the boat. A few civilian figs would be better suited. I had to build this set a few years ago after purchasing the Orient Expedition 7416 Emperor's Ship. While the Ninja theme is classic, I must say that the Emperor's Ship, in comparison, is a much better oriental vessel - in both design and playability. All things considered, I'd probably rate this set as a mere 'Average' based on design. I still like it though, and I'm glad I found it on clearance after the theme was retired. Great review, and a fine ending photo. EDIT: Oh, and it would have been nice to see another larger ship as part of the Ninja theme.
  12. I'm a big fan of the Playmobil Western theme as well. I'd love to get my hands on some of the older sets -but that goes into another topic entirely.
  13. I like the larger LEGO scimitar myself.
  14. Nice job on the inset door. I like the large (classic) train windows and the color stripe looks nice. The undercarriage looks good as well. Great job!
  15. Great review Svelte. As always, nice photography. I'm loving the printed horse design with the blue saddle. The figs are very nice as well. That new dark tan bush will come in very handy for me, as well as the extras. I'm really starting to appreciate these PoP sets.
  16. This is an excellent little $10 (USD) set. I love the figs, especially the faces and the torsos. The horse is very nice with the new custom print job, and it has a few little extras. Thanks for sharing the early review.
  17. This set has some really nice elements. I love the camel. The tarp is nice, as well as the new arches - oh, and a great dagger. I can't say that I'm real fond of the gold armor. It's that cheap, softer plastic, as well as the gold dome/roof pieces. All things considered, I will definitely buy this set, mainly for all the neat items that it includes. Thanks for the nice review.
  18. I just stumbled upon this tank and must say that it looks terrific. It really is too bad that the Indiana Jones didn't last one more round. I would have loved to see an official tank set by LEGO.
  19. I think one of the issues with the Fighter Plane is the grey (at least for me). It's just so plain. If it had a little color like the yellow and black/dark grey plane above, it would look so much better.
  20. They look good. I'll have to try this some time. Actually, I like the extra space between the arches/fenders. I think they look more realistic.
  21. Clean simple design that looks pleasant. I like the green and yellow used in John Deere tractors, and the colors look good in LEGO. This would make a nice little Farm set.
  22. I actually had to do a double-take on this. It almost doesn't look like LEGO. I love the color and it's packed with details that make the design even better. I enjoy seeing your creations Bricktrix, especially the brick-built MOCs.
  23. This one has a cleaner design - nice. It's neat to see the old Technic gears. I think I may have a few of these from the old Auto Chasis.
  24. Thanks for sharing Tim. Nice roof design, and I like the windows.
