  1. Excellent job on the louvre design, and I love the color. Overall, a very nice custom train wagon Scruf.
  2. Nice job Benny. It's neat to see the Classic Town farm house/riding stable in the scene. I've always loved that horse with horseshoe picture. The barn, made with the same color combination, really blends in well. I like the modified grain silo made into a water tower, and the hay wagon is a nice one. Great little scene here!
  3. Très bien Captain S! You've managed to create quite a horrific diorama as part of your Manoir de la terreur . First, let me say that the mansion looks fantastic standing at an angle. Positioning the old mansion in this manner adds to the complexity of the scene. As a big fan of brown and black, which I've personally used in a number of Grave Stone creations, I think you chose the perfect color combination giving the mansion an older wooden Psycho-like appearance. The roof is most impressive with the addition of the arched and multi-layered gables, as well as the towers. It's nice to see the chained Frankenstein rising through the roof, a nicely detailed addition. Speaking of details, the entire mansion is filled with them, and one really needs to look at it from different agles to appreciate all the extras that you've placed within - like that nicely designed bay window and fanged snake entrance, fantastic additions. You've also managed to add a number of everyone's favorite movie monsters into the scene - love the vampires! The candy shop and separate areas with the sections of track add to the already impressive diorama. I'm really going to look at all the pictures closely to see what else I've missed within this MOC. Well deserving of a front-page!
  4. As an entry for the French contest "L13", Captain'Spaulding creates a most spooky LEGO Mansion of Terror. The entire diorama is packed with numerous details that can be found in the Eurobricks Town Forum.
  5. Thanks for taking the time to comment WF. I think IScreamClone mentioned the green columns as well. I actually like the added color, but I did make one mistake. I should have used green log bricks that I have from a few green MOT Passenger Train Wagons. I think they may have looked a little better, but the thought was after I had photographed. Thanks LA. I'm partial to the LEGO ghost, and enjoy adding a little more playful look with his Casper-like smile.
  6. Certainly one of the most memorable scenes from the original SW Trilogy, you've done a fantastic job at creating in LEGO. This is one of those dioramas that take numerous pictures to see all of the splendid details. Over the years that I've been collecting LEGO, I've always wanted to create a scene like this as I love the green and brown colors. Most impressive!
  7. Well worth the effort though. The result is very pretty. I love the color combination.
  8. Very nice Svelte! This MOC puts the LEGO set to shame. I love the colors and the design with the use of multiple arches leading into the interior really looks stunning. Great job!
  9. EB Global Moderator Svelte outdoes himself once again with this beautiful creation, Alamut Gate, a LEGO Prince of Persia creation. Make sure you visit the EB Licensed forum if you haven't already seen the opulent fortress:
  10. You're quite the light and electric man LT12V. You should share some night time images of your trains. Nice job!
  11. Very nice! I love the tunnel. Good job on the crates as well, although I thought it was a scene from Indiana Jones at first.
  12. I think it's highly unlikely that we'll see a licensed LEGO Western theme. As a HUGE fan of Western movies, they just don't sell at the box office anymore. Jonah Hex might have a little potential, but I don't think it will be big enough for a theme. If there is some hope, it might be in the form of an adventure western movie like Zorro or Wild Wild West, although even these were short-lived movies. What would I like? It doesn't so much matter to me as long as we see the return of Wild West. I would probably lean toward "unlicensed" though, as I don't think LEGO needs a license to create a nicely designed collection of sets. Let's keep our fingers crossed and those letters and interest to LEGO coming. Interesting topic KD.
  13. Excellent photo editing and I like the design. The custom decals really add to the quality as well.
  14. Nice practical design. I like the fact that it holds three of the mini cars and I like the color of the cab. Overall, a great City vehicle.
  15. It's always neat to see one train from a particular era (in this case for 9V) converted to a different system. Many are converting stuff like this to Power Functions. It's great to see it "retro-fitted".
  16. Nice job on this. It's interesting to see the electrical diagram. 12V did offer a lot back in the day.
  17. I really like your technique to create the switching mechanism. Nice!
  18. Thanks, but I'd still encourage you to build one anyway. I'd be very interested in how you envision a Voodoo Lounge.
  19. Great find! like a lucky rabbit's foot
  20. Nice job on the doorway/opening. The shoes are a nice touch as well.
  21. Thanks for sharing a review of a real Classic Train set. This set is one I always wanted. I wonder what it sells for now? It brings back Classic Town for me with the excellent 4-stud wide trailer truck. I love those containers. Nice!
  22. Nice review, I think this Club Car was ahead of it's time. It's got some really neat playability aspects and complimented the Metroliner nicely. I purchased this as a Legend, but still never opened it up - saving it for whatever reason. If compared with the Santa Fe cars, I think it's a better set. Thanks for sharing the review.
  23. A+ for creativity, and Happy Easter to all of you as well. Front-paged!
