Thanks for the great feedback BM! Coming from you, that means a lot. I'm sorry for not responsing sooner, but I've been a little occupied with Mystery Ship in the Trains & Town Forum. I really appreciate the positive comments and for you taking the time to provide. I also see that there has been a few other very nice WW Mocs that I plan to review at a later time. It's really great to see interest in the WW theme expand to other EB members.

As many of you are aware, Mystery Ship, the latest Eurobricks mystery adventure is in progress. I've provided some "Behind the Scene" Images in this thread: See the Sets. As a building challenge, if you'd like to attempt to try building one of the rooms aboard the Sea Ghost, and it comes out well, I will incorporate your MOC into the story. This is just for fun, but would add a great element of realism to the story. Think of the various rooms that would make up a cargo ship. Post your MOCs here. I shared an image of this room on another thread, but here's Chef Otto's galley:
-
There has been a lot of strange things happen to ships in these waters Captain Rockwell. I would not rule out anything.
-
This didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to, but here's a shot of the galley:

Interesting... This is the man in black I was referring to. Were you able to see who hit you Bennie?
-
Very interesting. Whispers of a mysterious cargo... A poorly tended engine... and now Sabotage... Something definately sinister is at hand. I would suggest that we find the mechanic and the "man in black" - and I don't mean Johnny Cash. Captain, you might also want to radio the main land to apprise them of our situation. There's no telling how long we might be drifting out here.

Nice harbor. What is the pieces attached to the lantern? It almost likes like a rope.
-
I like the way you made the dock. And the lantern is a nice touch.
-
That's exactly what I read in last month's Hot Rod magazine!
-
Pete Falklin adds, "I bet if you were to buy that part new, it would cost more than the ship"...
-
Scotty takes a look at the damage. It seems that the rear left universal engine piston timing valve-o-meter has taken severe damage and will take a number of days to repair (if the crew is lucky). This is definately sabotage! 8-

Scotty finds his way to the front of the ship where he begins looking through his tool chest. Interestingly, he discovers that his trusty hammer seems to be missing... He returns to the Engineering deck to ask you if you've seen his hammer???
-
Pete Falklin states, "I've always enjoyed the Hues Corporation", as he hums... "we're sailing with a cargo full of love and devotion"... He thinks to himself, "I wonder if these great 70s hits are all available on one single set of CDs, one available each month"??? *wub*

Interesting that you noticed him. Keen observation. Perhaps later, his mystery will be revealed.

I wanted to share some of the "Behind the Scene" shots of Mystery Ship and the sets. The Sea Ghost before departure: A few of the crew on the pier: Jim Doohan tending to one of the life boats. Perhaps this is why the engine room is being neglected. :-D Stinky Stillman doing a little fishing: Manny and others tending to the cargo: Dock 13: The Steering Room: Another shot of the Sea Ghost next to a small fishing boat: You've got to love the old Diver sets. What a great little ship: Share your signature images and others mystery images here. *y*

Part 2: Engine Trouble The crew of the Sea Ghost makes its way to the dim-lit engineering room noticing that many of the pipes, valves, and gauges are in a rusty worn condition. The sounds of slow dripping water and scraping metal pistons echo loudly through the ship as the electrical lights flicker along the hall. "How could the mechanic of the ship and/or Chief Engineer allow for such disrepair and neglect of the mechanics", many of the crew wonder? "Someone has a lot of explaining". Suddenly, a loud CLANK is heard riveting through the ship! The Sea Ghost slows down and comes to a complete hault. :'-( Engine Room by Starwars4J

Excellent job on the acting of all the characters. I really like the signature change of Frank Mason, the 1st Mate, as well. This sort of thing really adds to the story. I want to keep the chapters pretty short to eliminate huge threads that some of you will have to go back and read. In regard to this 1st chapter, all but two of you had an opportunity to introduce yourself and provide one or more responses. I think this was excellent and enough to get the intros complete. This is why I ended the chapter. For the next few parts, these will be open at least a day or two (perhaps even longer) to give everyone on different time zones a chance to participate. This thread will also provide a great place to discuss the story and answer questions. We'll keep it going. Hope you are all enjoying the story and the acting of one another. Let's keep it on track and have fun with it. Starwars4J: you still have your old mystery avatar. Oh, and I asked XWY to not change the titles. Sounds like many of you do not want to do this. The sigs are great.
-
Good suggestion. I had asked XWYoda if we could have our titles temporarily changed yesterday. He said that he would do so. Should make identification a little easier. The signature is an equally good idea if everyone does so.

And on that note, a frightful thought came over the crew. The eerie grey fog that followed the ship could be seen against the portholes outside the galley wall, almost as if attempting to feel through the thick tempered glass. A chill in the air could be felt, thick as the waters from the depths of a deep and ominous sea. And where was the mechanic and the other man that Pete Falklin had seen during departure? Had the sea or the fog swallowed them into the blackness of oblivion or was something more sinister involving the crew at hand. *skull* --------------- End Part One

You may be right Mr. Mason, esp. if we get stuck out here. I had seen another few guys when I came on board. I'm wondering why they haven't joined us yet. One was a big fellow in a black muscle shirt, and another guy who looked like a mechanic of sorts. He might be able to help in the engine room.
-
I'm on my way to Munich for the Octoberfest. Prost! Perhaps I could get a crash course in German from Chef Otto - esp. for ordering food. *wub*
-
You must be the first mate. The captain mentioned you Mr. Mason. Thank you as well for allowing me to share a ride aboard the Sea Ghost.
-
zzzzzzzzzzzz CLANK zzzzzzzzzzzz CLANK zzzzzzzzzzzzz...........
-
Oh, I thought I had done so. My name is Pete Falklin, I am a retired detective. I'm on way way to Germany for the Octoberfest. I recently lost my job in Heceta and really appreciate you allowing me to share a ride on the Sea Ghost. Peculiar; however... The engine seems to be making a strange sound. Can you hear is Scotty? I use to work on a fishing ship years ago and got quite accustomed to the various engine sounds on board the ship. CLANK! That doesn't sound to good... :'-( The Sea Ghost begins to slow down...
-
"And who might you be?", Pete asks "if you don't mind me asking".
