Part 1: Introductions You are aboard the Sea Ghost, a large cargo ship that has departed from a small rainy port along the Washington coast. Aboard the ship are ten crewmen and one passenger, most of whom were too busy to introduce themselves during departure. Now that things have slowed down a bit, you meet in the ship's galley for the first time. All of you are aware that a mysterious fog has strangely followed the ship since it left port. You have also overheard whispers that the ship is carrying a mysterious cargo unknown to even the Captain. Most of you feel something unsettling about the Sea Ghost and this voyage. The single passenger introduces himself as Pete Falklin, retired detective who paid a cheap fair to get to Europe aboard the Sea Ghost. "Why don't we introduce ourselves", he suggests. My apologies to Batbrick, Mr. Tiber, Poomerio, and Imperial Shadows. The last role was filled by Unique Builder. Perhaps next time, you can participate. At this time, all participants may change their avatars to those listed in page two (2) of this thread. The mystery will be started in a different thread. Look for it soon and have fun!

I saw your response. Check your messages. I had to fix the avatar issue first. Patience. ;-)

I've moved all the avatars to my personal web place and edited the Cast section to reflect the new links. Sorry for any inconvenience, but please try using the new links. This should work fine.

Save your energy and motivation for a great role in the mystery. I'm writing as we speak/type. I have a feeling that you'll play well.
-
OK Spankers, let's try to keep this to the mystery. I want all the characters to use the avatars. Consider them your costumes.

Instructions Concept: This mystery will be a bit different than those that I have done in the past. Each participant will be provided with a brief bio/character description privately and will be expected to play their role. This will involve acting on the part of each of them. Remember: there is no such thing as a small part, only small actors. Playing your role is strongly encouraged and will add a great deal to the story. Participants: The mystery will be limited to ten (10) participants. So far, the following individuals have expressed interest in participating: 007 Athos Hinkley Sir Dillon Starwars4J There are five more open slots. If you are interested, please respond to this message. Avatars/Costumes: Each participant will be provided with an avatar for their character. Participants will be required to change their avatar to that provided. The Mystery: The mystery will be revealed through the story and various clues that will be provided. More information will be shared soon.

Introduction "One night I espied upon the deck a man, bearded and robed, and he seemed to beckon me to embark for far unknown shores". - H.P. Lovecraft, The White Ship A cold chilling wind howls wildly as the waves of salty seawater pour over the bow of the Sea Ghost, a cargo ship bound for Europe from the Americas. A small crew is on board the large transport ship to deliver a special cargo, a mysterious cargo stored within a locked and unmarked container. The reluctant crew is troubled for the Sea Ghost

Thank you all for your comments in regard to the poster. Despite some similarity to the "Ghost Ship" poster that Bonaparte shared, this mystery is something completely different. More will be revealed soon...

I doubt it, but it is a neat thought. On a side note Piranha, I like your new avatar. Now we need to form a cowboy club.
-
I've actually got a few of these figs from one of my old fire stations. I never thought of using them w/a cowboy hat. Excellent idea. They'd make good cavalry.
-
Are you familiar with the legend of the Lost Dutchman's Mine Apache. This was my inspiration behind my prospector Tex Grimwell. - at least partly.
-
Excellent bunch of Mex'cans Apache. I really like the use of the Tusken Raider torso. I thought about this a while back but never tried it. They really work well. I could have used a few of these figs w/ my Fort Jacinto MOC. Once again, nice job. You're becoming an expert in WW figs. *y* *y*

I just purchased this set over the weekend and finished building it. This is a great review of a great set. I love the ship, the dock/harbor, the crane, and the truck. The figs are excellent and the set comes with all of the accessories needed. This truly reminds me a lot of classic city, just bigger and better. *y* *y*

Welcome to EB Ninja Guy. Why don't you tell us a little bit about yourself. So far, we know you like the Ninja theme.
-
What a beautiful MOC. I really like the design. This would truly make a great set but would probably sell for a small fortune.
-
Very good Index Yoda, and a great resource. Here's one more. It's an older MOC, but still a submarine: Classic Sub And a discussion re. Ocean Odyssey: Ocean Odyssey Discussion

I love it! Does he have a story?

Pretty nice vintage train Widdi. It reminds me a lot of 3225 Classic Train - esp. the passenger wagon. I like these little DB trains.

This is excellent Apache! I love the background. I've said this before, but I really prefer these authentic image/scene backgrounds over cartoon/old WW backgrounds. It really looks great. I'd love to see some more MOCs from you (esp. some town/buildings).
