  1. BLOOPER -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gene Wagonberry "Geno" is with the Skipper aboard the Minnow. Jim Doohan "Scotty" is with the Captain and crew within the fog. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  2. This was the fishing boat:
  3. The Skipper and Scotty make it to the Minnow to discover... The radio has been SMASHED! 8-
  4. The crew convened in Otto's galley with the the Skipper and Diver Dan to discuss the issues at hand. Now that they have a hunch that Jack may have thrown it under one of the cargo tarps during a siesta, they make their way to the cargo hold once again. Diver Dan follows. Meanwhile: Scotty and The Skipper make their way to the Minnow for a THREE MINUTE TOUR, a THREE MINUTE TOUR :-D (I've been waiting to say this). Scotty grips Otto's luger tightly :-$ as visibility diminishes. The fog has become dense once again. Walking through the darkness, visions of scary things begin to consume the thoughts of the crew: Some of the crew start envisioning a mysterious Ghost Ship with skeletal pirates from the New 2007 Castle Theme? Oops, wrong vision... :-$ While Mr. Mason recalls one of the most scariest moments in his life: 8-
  5. We'll miss you, but things have slowed down a bit. I've been busy with some other things over the past few days.
  6. I don't think any of the rank-in-file crewmen have their own cabin. These were the rooms I recall: Steering Room/Bridge w/radio Engine Room Mechanical/Utility access room Galley Kitchen Captain's Quarters First Mate's Cabin Two large crew cabins (shared among all the crewmen - bunks) Guest Cabin (Bathrooms are combined with the cabins) Cargo Hold (outer middle of ship) Supply Room Before we go off searching, let us think for a moment. The Captain gave the manifest to Mr. Mason. Mr. Mason, who did you give it to? Oh, and I don't recall searching your cabin Scotty? Unless you mean the Engineering Room? In fact, who is working on it at the moment?
  7. Some very interesting perspectives.
  8. And who had the manifest?
  9. Mr. Mason: the Captain believes he gave you the Cargo Mainfest. Do you have it?
  10. Before we go off searching Scotty, let's just take a moment and think. Captain, who did you say you gave the Cargo Manifest to? Oh, and where did Bennie run off to again? That boy!
  11. Chapter Seven: More Clues The Skipper and Diver Dan have joined the crew. Tied to the Sea Ghost is their small fishing boat, the Minnow. Unfortunately, the Minnow is not large enough to carry all of the crew to safety. The crew has asked to use their radio as a means to call for help. The Captain's Log has been discovered but the Cargo Manifest seems to be missing, the crew not remembering "who had it last". The crew is still wondering what mysterious cargo is aboard the Sea Ghost, and will the Creature from the Deep return? Pete states hopefully, "I think we should now find the Cargo Manifest. Perhaps it will provide some additional clues. Seems the fog is getting dense again".
  12. Two mysterious men have joined the crew of the Sea Ghost. They say that they have come to answer a distress call. A skeptical Captain is not sure if his distress call was ever heard. The crew has asked to use the radio of the Minnow, but the plea has gone unanswered. Can the Skipper and Diver Dan be trusted, or is there a sinister ploy at hand? And what clues does the Captain's log provide? These questions remain unanswered aboard the Mystery Ship. -------------- End Part 6
  13. The crew has returned to the Captain's cabin. It is very opulent and much different from the other parts of the ship. On top of a small oak writing desk is a large black leather bound book that must obviously be the Captain's log. Pete picks up the log, looks at the Captain, and states, "providing you don't object captain, I will do the honors". He begins reading: August 31, 6:35 AM: We boarded the Sea Ghost and have started loading the cargo. I have placed Handy in charge of the load despite his egotistical and some time argumentative manner. I know that he often times lies and offends most of the crewmen, but he is able to get things done. He's like a bulldog on a chain, but I pull it when I need to reel him in. Perhaps I'll start the day off with a drink. August 31, 12:50 PM: Over lunch, I received a special visit from the Harbor Master who emphasized the importance of getting container #6 safely to Europe. It's contents was not shared with me, but I've been told that Corporate will be sending Internal Security to assist in providing adequate safeguarding. Between the two of us, we must have drank a 12 pack. August 31, 3:30 PM: Bennie has returned from his leave. The accident required him to have a metal plate placed in his head. His speach is a bit slurred at times, and he drools on occasion, but for the most part, he can continue about his normal duties. This one's for Bennie! August 31, 6:20 PM: Oh ya, it's been one hell of a day! Otto is firing up the ovens for a special dinner. I hope he has some of that good schnapps he brought on board last time. This one's for Otto. Prost! I'm not sure about Jack. I found him sleeping on the job again. I hope that engine doesn't conk out this time. August 31, 9:15 PM: Strangely, I saw something outside my cabin this evening. I must have had one too many. I thought I saw a... no, there's no way. Green? No way. I gave the manifest to one of them. I just wish I could remember who. Wondering what the mysterious cargo is. The fog has gotten worse. August 31, 12:45 AM: My insomnia has returned. I took two of the pills, but they don't seem to work. Wide awake. I'll think I'll have a nightcap to help me sleep... Still wondering what that cargo is. Saw Wagonberry sneaking around earlier. September 1, 10:40 AM: What a night. I've got a headache from hell. I need a drink. It's too early to think about steering this ship. Manny is still convinced that the Sea Ghost is cursed, ever since last month when the container fell on Bennie. That had to hurt! Poor boy. I'm not sure if I trust Frank. Hell, I can't even understand him. He's like a character out of Moby Dick. I think the sea swallowed him up, and spit him out on the deck of the Sea Ghost. September 1, 6:00 PM: We've left port. The sea is choppy and I don't like this fog. Visibility is very poor. Stillman is an interesting character. He tells me that he has a brother that's a treasure hunter around these parts. September 1, 9:20 PM: I've decided to try to get some shut eye. Jim is noticing a lot of issues with the mechanics. I hope he can get things up to par. The Harbor Master notified me today on the short wave, says he dropped something on the ship before departure, but wouldn't tell me what. He's a mysterious fellow. September 2, 10:15 AM: Frank has been sneaking around my cabin again. I know he was in here because I can smell the scent of Old Spice. He's been looking for something, perhaps it's one of Otto's collectibles. I think Otto forgets where he hides them, and Frank keeps them for safe keeping. Thief! September 2, 2:45 PM: The engine is knocking again. We may have trouble. I'm going to have Jim check the engine. Should know more this evening. September 2, 8............ page ripped out. The rest of the log is empty.
  14. My apologies. I have not been able to post. I will provide some new info soon. This may have provided some a chance to catch up on the story.
  15. I just saw this MOC of a Union Pacific GE Dash engine on MOC Pages and had to share it. This is one of the nicest train engine MOCs that I've seen. I love the detail, esp. the flag emblems. This should be a real set. Isn't it impressive?
  16. Very nice Coast Guard ship Stauder. It has a real classic look about it. Is that base from the old cargo boat? The only thing is that this is not from any of the Mystery Ship scenes.
  17. I'm curious to see why some of you voted for Boats? I'm thinking the old classic police boat and fireboat? Does anyone know the 1st Lego boat that actually floated? I think I know, but would have to check. I still have it, but am missing one of the sections.
  18. Based on the size of this ship, I would guess about a week. Scotty might be able to provide a better estimate.
  19. I'm sure we'll do something like this again. They are fun, but they do take a lot of work to write and keep up with the posts.
  20. Actually, that's the dense fog. The ship has lights, it's just that the engine won't start. All: I've been counting the food stores with Otto, and it appears that we have plenty of food for quite some time, so if the repairs take longer than we expect, we should be OK. The batteries; however, are another matter. I really would hate to be out here with no light and a Creature from the Deep sloshing around :'-( Should we go back to the Captain's cabin and have a look at his log? - that's providing he doesn't mind. Also, what ever happened to the cargo manifest?
  21. Why the life vest Skipper? oh, and who's your partner?
  22. It's funny. This is whole mystery is somewhat a test in psychology and sociology. Characters given certain roles to play create the same kind of stereotypes and beliefs as they would people in real life. What I'm seeing is the good actors becoming very believable and creating realistic reactions from others. It's been very neat to watch. I really wanted to keep this open to enhance the level of fun and creativity. The "off limit" type occurences haven't been that bad (at least in my opinion). I thought Stan grabbing the gun and shooting Scotty was a very unexpected, but good example of this. Thanks Hink. Your acting has been terrific, as well as some of the others. Oh, and I spotted your F-bomb when you launched it. I'm not a mod, so that's between you and the Board of Directors. Hope you continue to enjoy it.
  23. I created this topic to discuss the plot and suspicions regarding the mystery here. Please let me know how you like the story, your dislikes, and hunches. I might even share a few secrets if you're lucky. This thread is open to ALL (even if you are not participating in the mystery). Hope everyone is enjoying it.
  24. Interesting Captain. I wonder who these two chaps are?
  25. The crew scurries to the top of the cargo deck; Scotty firing a bright flair into the air... PPPPPPSSSSSSHHHHHH! The flair sounds as it illuminates the night fog in a burst of red. A small fishing boat can be seen along the starboard side of the ship. Two men are aboard the vessel. One man is wearing a bright yellow life vest, the other scuba gear. Dense Fog Behind the Ship!
