  1. Mmmm... I wonder who that could be???
  2. Does that make me the straight man or the comic? I choose the straight man.
  3. Oh, no need - I believe you (picturing Hink in a wig with lipstick) *wub* . :-D
  4. First, I'm shotgun Earnie, and now I'm German. What is it with you, always trying to categorize everyone. Next, you'll be puting me in a poll with the rest of the Fellows - making up silly little character profiles and all. >:-( :-D :-D :-D
  5. I thought that was quite witty stuff. :-P - not as good as Captain Stubing, but... deserving... I'm trying, ok... give me a bone, here.... just a small bone... Beats the hell out of me? Hell, you've only been a member of Eurobricks for a few months (at least it seems that way).
  6. Who said anything about you? I was talking about my lederhosens and was looking for the right English translation?
  7. This is why I have a tough time explaining what I'm all about... You've said it quite eloquently. Thank you. ----- Now Grevious: Batbrick just made a similar mistake on a thread yesterday in which he stated that singer Michael Buble performed a camio in the Cantina scene of Star Wars, A New Hope - and we've already forgotten it (this could be you for a similar announcement of loyalty and admiration). Vote for the wrong Fellow, and perhaps have this thread front paged forever (even before announcing new sets releases). The power is in your hands. It's all riding on you. ;-)
  8. Ya, I meant Hollings upstairs there. :-D - Sorry Northern Exposure flashback (disregard). Ya, I suppose I compare people sometimes - like the Pie guys.
  9. Hinckley! MODS! ADMINS! Give this young man an immediate Fellowship in the Ring, the Sword, and the whole kit and caboodle - and all priviledges that go unto, underthow, and overthrow. This marks a glorious moment in EB history where unto an aspiring hero has stood up and professed his extreme grandeur for a single Fellow who; through no cooercion, Phes Stockade indoctrination chamber, or smiley BrickMiner sticker, proclaims honestly and meritoriously the truth as you have read it today in the year of 2008 of January 14. Let this mark a significant and celebratorious occasion and honor this man in the most extreme way the Fellowship of EB can provide. Ding Dong the Witch is Dead!
  10. Well, thank you Batbrick. I appreciate that. I don't know you well, but feel like I want to. Thank you. Are you guys like brothers?
  11. Thank you, thank you... If that gets you, check out the Community Forum. :-D
  12. Just a fun little poll that is aimed at determining which Fellow you are most like. Read each one carefully. You may also try guessing each of the 10 Fellows through hints/clues provided in each description. PS. If this doesn't get me assaulted by my peers, I don't know what will... :-D
  13. TheBrickster's back and you're gonna be in trouble 8-| (Hey-la-day-la TheBrickster's back) He's got his pistols, better cut out on the double :'-( (Hey-la-day-la TheBrickster's back) You been post'n things that aren't true >:-) (Hey-la-day-la TheBrickster's back) So look out now cause he's comin' after you! *skull* (Hey-la-day-la TheBrickster's back)... POW! :-D
  14. No more until Grevious comes back (crossing my fingers). Let me put some warm soup on...
  15. Very creative use of the Bandit's Hideout baseplate. Really nice. I like that you added an elephant. Also, I think that's the first chariot I've ever seen in Lego (other than something I built when I was a kid and had just seen Ben Hur). Great design!
  16. I object to this nonsense completely, but I just have to... What really erks me is that the US Indy sets have non-shooting pistols. (sorry Grevious, - poor bastard :-D :-D :-D ) LOL...
  17. You make an intersting point Grevious, but let me share my thoughts on the subject. 1) I'm guessing that there may be Anubis statues in the real movie scene since the MOC is based on the movie. Let's see when the movie comes out. 2) I judge the set not on it's similarity to a movie scene nor historic significance (because this is adventure fiction to me), but rather the design of an ancient tomb. I actually like the Anubis statues and view this set as an Egyptian tomb. This set reminds me of an Adventurers MOC I did a few years ago: I had a similar discussion with Phes a few years ago. When I build something, I'm not trying to capture historic and/or realistic aspects, but rather just have fun - it's what Lego is all about. One can look at movies like Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones, and realize that scenes combine geographic places, as well as styles of different cultures and architecture. It adds a unique quality to scenes, buildings, and/or designs. Sure, the history buffs will disagree, but the scenes are intended to be fiction (with some historic significance). My thoughts.
  18. Very nice Pie Man! You've been making some great MOCs lately. I really like this one. Lego should jump on this theme.
  19. Well, the bank is definately not. The other one could be.
  20. Mystery Ship 2: Ghost Lights of Beacon Point...
  21. In fact, I'm a conservative. :-D - and I'm not against you.
  22. Col. Whipstick: Just as you are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to mine. I do not appreciate the insultive tone of your responses nor being viewed as not taking a mature perspective in regard to a very sensitive subject (of which you do not seem to understand). In fact, I seem to increase my level of sensitivity as I grow older and more mature. I complimented you on the quality of your flags, just not fond of the swastika. I did not intend to get into a debate over the use of a swastika and/or other historic symbols. Yes, I understand that these flags are intended for AFOL and the use of other historic symbols/flags may raise similar issues. I'm sure that some parents might take offense to some of my stories about Grave Stone (also intended for AFOL) - but they are fantasy/horror. Comparing the swastika to some of the other examples you provided is not a fair comparison. I too, am a bit of a history buff and know a lot about the Third Reicht and WWII history; as well as having personal knoweldge. The thought of depicting a symbol that is linked to the genocide of 5-6 M people within the last 100 years just doesn't sit well with me. My thoughts or opinions are not to score points with anyone. The value of doing so on a Lego forum where my identity is unkown is pretty pointless. You do not need to take personal offense in my preference to not see Lego swastika flags. This is my opinion only. PS. I'm not trying to ban/remove your flags from this board. I'm not a mod and have no interest/agenda in seeing them removed, or trying to stop your creative endeavors.
  23. - I would love to see an official Ghost Town theme with spooky haunts and creatures. - I like the thought of a Zorro theme or other Mexican/Spanish Wild West theme. - Circus - More history themes including Roman and Greek civilizations - Civil War That's about all I can think of now. I'm sure I have others.
  24. Anything under $10 isn't that bad.
