  1. Sorry about the double-post, but for those of you interested in seeing the new Playmobil Egyptian sets, these early images hit the Playmobil sites today: This makes me want to expand the Lego Adventurers Desert and Indy themes. Take a look at the detail of the sphinx. The pyramid looks very detailed as well. I predict Lego will sooner or later copy Playmobil and offer some historic themes.
  2. Nice review LT. Thanks for sharing. I picked this up today at TRU. Would you mind telling me the $ you paid. Mine was $16.99 and the Mail Van $9.99. TRU seems to be a bit higher on their Lego (compared to Lego SAH). Unless your store is the same as LSAH.
  3. Beautiful pictures Widdi. Makes me want to visit Germany.
  4. I can see the competition was tough. Great job guys! *y*
  5. Thanks, but I'm not sure what you mean about the computer. You're not talking about the safe by the bar, are you?
  6. This is really slick! The overall scene is excellent. What I really like are the expressions of the Romans in the audience. The diorama has life, action, and draws your interest. Great job *y* . Reminds me of the Playmobil arena:
  7. Ouch! The dreaded double-headed Batbrick Swirley. What say we hoist him up on the old Mystery Ship crows nest and turn his bat-shorts into a main sail. :-D. Bat-Wedgie!
  8. Great poll. Nice way to organize what people want.
  9. Meet the man who doesn't know who Patrick Swayze is... This video will show you what you're missing: Chippendale Video I think Patrick is the big guy. No, just kidding. :-P He was another 80s icon.
  10. Yes, I purposely left it off because of the roof section on the right side of the building. You've got a good eye. What this MOC could benefit from is a Rick's Nightclub sign or other item in the front to signify that it is a bar/nightclub. Thanks B. Perhaps I will very soon. I'm in an Adventurers mood again. I go through different themes from time-to-time: Castle, Adventurers, WW, Train, City. etc. Thanks BB. I've used a few different faces over the years as I theme hop. Sort of like the 7 Faces of Dr. Lao. Are you familiar with the movie? Here are a few:
  11. I provided feedback regarding an Endor battle with an Ewok village, plus a Gold C-3PO to celebrate the anniversary (among other Endor things).
  12. Welcome Dadster (neat name). Yellow Castle is the best! You can join our order. When you figure out what that means, I'll let you in on it ;-) . Have fun!
  13. Oh, I love it! And you even got me with my magnifying glass. Excellent!
  14. Strange... After the SWIRLEY *wacko* , I went to respond with a witty comeback and could have sworn I found this thread closed. Sure, give me a Swirley, then slam the seat down on me Hink so I can't get you back. See how you are. (Thinking: how can I depict an Atomic Wedgie with minifigs??? Perhaps something in the Moroccan Fez thread may be able to assist me).
  15. Welcome to the Yellow Lego Castle Club, Usicaakro! You the man *y* . A man after my own heart *wub* . The Yellow Castle was my favorite all-time set. Some info I shared some time back: The Yellow Castle: Image Review My Classic Castle Knight Collection Yellow Castle Minifig Display Case And lastly, two pictures of the Yellow Castle prominently displayed in my Lego Floorville: Yellow Castle City Pictures shared on Displaying Multiple Themes Thread May the Order of the Yellow Castle live forever. We should create some sort of Templar Knight Order to make sure it does :-D .
  16. I always wanted to see him perform a duet with Barry Manilow. Just the thought of it makes me want to start crying now :-( .
  17. Excellent bridge Dr. B. Very nice design. Do you plan to build it?
  18. Big ones are more impressive :-D . All your MOCs are great! *y*
  19. What I'm gathering from many of you is the idea of creating a divider between displays. I really like this concept, esp, with a train going through the different theme displays. Great idea! *y* Very creative idea SW. I like how you did that.
  20. Thanks Athos. Appreciate the feedback. I have already destroyed to make room for my next project (when I figure out what that is). I took a few more images before taking it apart. Perhaps I'll post. Also, thanks for sharing on Adventure.dk. I didn't know they had a forum. I actually liked the placement of the tapestry. I thought it was a nice prominent location. But thanks for the constructive comments. Thanks Iamded. I thought the exterior was just OK. I might revisit and try something a little better. I honestly do not have enough white bricks to build exactly what I wanted (in fact, I had to use 1x2 bricks in some places). Thanks for the great feedback. It's your comments that keep me working at improving the quality of my MOCs.*y*
  21. I always thought he sang, "Everybody's Working for the Weekend". :-D
  22. I don't have a scanner for the instructions, but the 1x4 slope is listed as piece #4515362 in the instructions.
  23. Norro: I've always loved your big Castle MOCs. You are a very talented builder.
  24. Great display. I could do something similar with my bookshelves, although I'd have no place to put my books and other items. :-/ Perplexing dillema... Oh, BTW: the pictures I shared above are sets that are stored away in the garage. The only sets that I have built right now is the Indie collection. I want to break out the City sets again (thanks to Lego's new City collection).
  25. I had considered this piece (although I don't have any), but think it's a little too tall. If this is the piece you are referring to:
