  1. Well I say boys, I thinks we should all mosey on down to the Golden Nugget Saloon for a good drink. I don't want to see any fight'n though. First round is on me!
  2. First, let me say thank you Batbrick for mentioning my Grave Stone MOCs and story. It's an honor for me to have inspired you to share your creative endeavors with us. First impression, I love the house. The black and orange works very well. This would make a great Halloween MOC. Interesting that you made a black wall behind the door. I think I did something similar in my Haunted Mine (so that black only shows behind the door). I see why you did this. The front of the house uses a simple yet effective design. The real creation, I think, lies in the grave pit below. Excellent grotto, and the skeletons within are rather spooky (if you really think about the mood and look that you've captured). - reminds me of a book of poems called Nightmares to Trouble Your Sleep (or something like this). In regard to the story, very creepy and suspenseful adding to the overall mood (once again). With each scroll down with the mouse, I was awaiting what would happen next.... Eeerie... *skull* Do you plan to make any more vignettes, or explore who exactly Billy Samwood is? A Jason-type of figure perhaps? Nice job. I hope I don't get the reputation for inspiring Axe Murder MOCs though. :'-(
  3. Thanks for the feedback BB. I was sticking with the official lego fuel container but I can see how it looks a bit odd. I believe someone else mentioned it as well. I am OK with the antena.
  4. Very good. I definately agree and thank you for recognizing the contributions of others as Norro suggested. *y*
  5. Thanks for pointing that out >:-( .
  6. Go Patriots!
  7. I know... I really meant Little Pie Guy. I figured that once people start sharing their contributions, others would chime in and give credit to others as well. Good team building exercise. Definately can't forget Mr. Phes's Pirate Forum. Remember when Pirates was part of the History and Adventure forum? I was always impressed with how Phes could take any topic and turn it into a thread with 50-100 posts. He has a "Phil Donahue" quality about him, as he asks numerous questions like a talk show host. "And why do you think the yellow 1x1 works better than a round black 1x1? Does that help the historic significance"? :-D :-D Just teasing Phes - I hope you see this thread.
  8. Oh, I thought you were done. I must have misunderstood.
  9. Thanks for all the great feedback. Something that I do want to work on is the design of the front section with the fence/post sections (below the 2nd floor windows). I don't like the old grey fence pieces and tried a few different pieces and designs here. Just couldn't get anything I really liked. In addition, I don't like the telephone poll. I may copy/use a modified design from someone else. It just doesn't look like a telephone pole to me. In any case, I may be making a few more WWII / Indy MOCs over the next few weeks. Unfortunately, I got a new computer a few months ago and have no photo-editing software. I can't edit any of the backgrounds at present.
  10. I really didn't want to start buying these large city buildings (Cafe Corner, etc.), but after seeing the terrific details of this set, I just may order this (when available) and the others. This is the best yet. The details are outstanding! *y* Thanks for sharing these early images.
  11. I never thought this thread would get as many responses as it did. Almost need to create a poll for all the choices (NOT). Seriously, someone had stated that it's some sort of petroleum substance. That's probably what it is. I'm always intrigued with the cargo that Lego adds to trains and trucks. Some are quite easy to figure out, while others (like this one), it's anyone's guess. PS. It still looks like radioative waste to me. Has anyone MOCed a nuclear power plant?
  12. I liked it better as a party ship though. :-D
  13. The suit is good. It has that WW look about it - not sure about the pith helmet though. I'd be interested in seeing your figs when you complete theme.
  14. When do we get to see Part 2, Search for Hink?
  15. SN: This is truly outstanding. A snake oil wagon! It's really neat to see another individual designing one in Lego. I wish BrickMiner was here to see it. He was always a fan of Snake Oil. I really like how you added the custom stickers. The font is excellent. I also like the platform with your custom figs. And lastly, the design of the wagon looks really slick. I like the little details like the lantern. Overall, this is a great little MOC. Makes me want to build another one. Here's a shot of my WW Snake Oil Wagon from last year: Now I shall try YouTubing the scene.
  16. Yes, definately. The entries are terrific. *y*
  17. I'm not sure about this one. I have the set, but just think it looks too Medieval to be a WW building. Interesting. I had not thought about this one. I'm not sure about the gate arm though. May be a bit too modern.
  18. Sorry, Off Topic for just a moment: Oh, I had sent all the WW fans (based on avatars and topics they've started), a message asking if they want to have the same signature with an Outlaw minifig. I thought I had sent you one, but if I did not, I may have missed you (perhaps it was the bounty hunter thing?). Those that responded, I added to the signature below.
  19. Excellent job General. I like the 54th the best. Good selection of soldiers you've got there.
  20. Sure... :-| Waking up from his nap, Sinner spies his real car outside the Red EB Party House: "Great roof", TheBrickster adds, "And he's brought back Hink. But what's with the crow mask"?
  21. I suppose the Pie Guys will come along soon. :-D
  22. I've been wanting to build some sort of Indy MOC for some time now, but not sure what to do (since Casablanca). Inspired by the design of Outback Airstrip, I came up with the following. This is a German Headquarters that Indy can infiltrate. I tried to stay within official Lego design concepts using minimal pieces. A close up of the building: The SW figs make great German troops (as well as Civil War, but that's another discussion): I created some German flag stickers to use on the building and vehicles. The outcome wasn't bad. I chose to use the pre-WWII German military flags as a substitute for Nazi flags. I also like the bright colors. After placing the large one in the center of the building, I thought, I could have used some bricks to almost create the same look. The interior of the building includes some great pieces from the Outback Airstrip. Although you can't see the clear cup and red radio to the right: Another shot of the entire MOC: And my favorite, the official Lego motorcycle: And a final shot of one of the guards. I had to level the guard arm: I welcome comments and constructive criticism.
  23. Dang Nab that BrickMiner! >:-(
  24. I'm sorry IS. My apologies. Although I'm not sure what interview you're referring to? Cool. At first, I thought you meant Shtick (good grandma word). I just read the post you referenced. :-D. I may have heard that somewhere else as well.
  25. Yes, of course, and you do an excellent job at that. I enjoy how you are able to poll down the numerous sets to "Best of the Best". And your set reviews have been very good Piranha. And one can not forget that you are also a WW fan *y* (although you didn't join our outlaw gang). I remember when I seemed to be the first and the only member to post anything related to the Wild West theme. It's great to have company now. *y* You definately have to share some LS. - but fix your avatar first ;-) . On a side note, this is a question that should be added to our EB interviews.
