  1. Nope, didn't get a spare head with 7094. Dr. S.
  2. Oh, cool, thanks! Oh well, I've modified mine now anyway (see the "Pimp My Castle" thread) but good to know I wasn't completely insane. Dr. S.
  3. That was a fun review, I picked up a couple of these on holiday in France and it was one of the main reasons I went all-out and bought the rest of the Castle range! Dr. S.
  4. Me either! I'm fairly certain that LEGO can identify the precise mould and the precise PART of the mould that's gone wrong if you can give them the numbers stamped into the part. With that first part it looks like the plastic has flowed out into a gap between the two halves of the mould - might be worth letting them know as there could be a problem with one of their machines. Dr. S.
  5. The guns! Sorry, but backwards megaphones just didn't do it for me. Dr. S.
  6. Shame, you should have come, there was a LEGO shop there. It was also VERY busy! Not to mention the fact that you get to see lots of real steam trains at the museum. Dr. S.
  7. Yes, he suffered a small child-related accident near the end... :'-( Dr. S.
  8. Here I am... Dr. S.
  9. The 5th Great Western LEGO Train Show was held at STEAM, the Museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon on 6th and 7th October 2007. I attended on Sunday 7th October with LEGO Doctor Sinister in tow - and here are the best of the pictures I took on the day! Dr. S.
  10. It's pretty stubby, here you are (got some daylight now! :-D ): Dr. S.
  11. Here's a brighter picture: Dr. S.
  12. Incidentally, sorry the pix are so dark - they looked awful with the flash and as it's gone midnight here, I don't have a lot of natural light! Oh, and thanks! Dr. S.
  13. Right then, here we go, I've now combined the harbour from set 7029 - Skeleton Ship Attack with the 7094 Castle, and here it is! As you can see from this top view, I've kept the moat and the extra observation platform I added: With the addition of the harbour, this now makes the "moat" either part of a lake or an ocean - i.e. the Castle is now an island just off the coast (or something): The harbour pier has been shortened, partly to align with the castle a bit more with the two side sections of the harbour wrapping sideways, partly to avoid the whole thing breaking off when you pick it up due to the weight of the addition! The addition basically makes the second entrance to the castle much more secure, now anyone attacking has to fight their way through two gates. There's a step at the back of the pier to allow the main gates to open and close and to adjust for the level. This rear section has water in the middle of it, if necessary the defenders can destroy the pier/bridge and retreat to the inner Keep leaving the attackers floundering in the water, easy pickings for the towers all around. I used just a few extra grey pieces to attach the walls together and a small baseplate under the pier to keep it at the same level as the rest of the Castle which is also on a baseplate. If you ignore the moat, you could do this mod' at a cost of about a half a dozen pieces. The moat however took quite a while to adjust around the perimeter, not to mention that I had to change the dark blue plates that came with the harbour for regular blue to match my "water". Dr. S.
  14. Did he build it right? It's a wonder it stayed upright at times! Dr. S.
  15. A couple of observations - the Police station has a postbox, nice! I'm presuming the new handcuffs are sort of chain-like, similar to the mace thingies the Skellies carry in the Castle range? Little ventilation things on top of the cells...nice touch. And keys! Those postmen can't be the final design - can they? Space-type torsos? Think I'll be geting a couple of those Cargo trucks, they look good for general utility purposes. I love the large door on the Cargo plane - pity they didn't click the cockpit section on properly at the front though. Dr. S.
  16. Wow, some nice stuff in there. I'll definitely be getting the post plane and the post van. Castle range - yep, I'll have all of those too, thanks. The Cop plane is still too big but it's growing on me - if I ever get it it'll be because I'm bored and want something to do... I like the Cargo truck and the Cargo plane too - I think I'll add them to the list as well. Not sure about the SW sets other than the Rebel Speeder and the Stormtrooper transport. Oh, forgot about the AT-AP, that's a MUST. I like the Tiny Turbos set with the Police car and helicopter - that would be a nice addition to my Racers. In summary...drool... Dr. S.
  17. I've been ordering a load of stuff from S@H lately and with each order they've given me a little double-sided poster of the City theme. There's a cool City view one side, and on the other, a key to all the sets you can buy from the scene. Dr. S.
  18. These are Hinckley's pic's - he posted them here yesterday. Dr. S.
  19. You are crazy...but I see them too. Curses, you've infected me with your craziness... *wacko* Dr. S.
  20. I spotted the banner straight away, even without the Swastika (which might be offensive to some) it's still immediately obvious what it should be - nice job. Dr. S.
  21. I really REALLY like this - the car is perfect, the Brickarms figs look brilliant in this setting - told you were good didn't I? Dr. S.
  22. Thanks, that's what happens when most of your pieces form part of a town and all you have left is some realy OLD LEGO. :-D Yours looks great, I thought mine was big (oo-er)! Dr. S.
  23. I don't think I've ever said this before but that plane is AWFUL. Why do the Police need something the size of an airliner? And those new Police logos better not be blue...I've just upgraded the entire Tabletown PD to use current equipment all with the black Police logo... Dr. S.
  24. I finally got this set today, and my Castle lineup for this year is complete. I was disappointed at the use of dark blue for the water as it doesn't match the moat I built around my Castle and if I'm to integrate the two, I'll have to buy more plates, but hey-ho. It's a nice little harbour, although why the treasure chest is sitting outside waiting for any Tom Dick or Harry Skeleton to steal it is beyond me. As for the ship, it's stunted but very cool - my sail wasn't creased at all luckily and it looks great. I do have an extra 4x1 grey plate left over that I can't seem to find anywhere in the instructions - I've used all the ones I had to use, seems odd for an extra part. Dr. S.
  25. Gosh, thanks. :-$ Dr. S.
