Two friends and mine saw a UFO at school once. It was white, brilliant white, shaped like, well, like a stick - spinning slowly in the air miles away. We ran to the edge of the school field - it had disappeared. Now, I mean UFO in the literal sense - it was flying, and it was unidentified - so it was a UFO. Not however that I am not alleging it was any kind of alien craft! Too many people think "UFO" means "flying saucer", this is not strictly true. I am now convinced it was just a glider or something, catching the light, it "vanished" because it wasn't reflecting the light any more. Sigh...now I am having melancholic thoughts about my childhood. Everything I do lately leads to nostalgia and regret. Argh. Dr. S.

Which is your favorite lego star wars creature?
Doctor Sinister replied to darkrebellion's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love the Dewback - it's so cool with that Sandtrooper on top. If we're venturing into minifigs, then Greedo - every time. Dr. S. -
Awww...that vig' makes me sad, especially with your comment about EF bringing you out of your dark age. Kind of a downer to my day. Sniff. :'-( Great little scene though - and I also love the guy on the bench. Don't listen to the Vig' Police if they knock on your door - I like to keep to the 8x8 standard but other sizes are just as valid. :-D Dr. S.

Incidentally, I don't think I specified this, but the missiles do actually come out. With one missile rank empty: Here's the missile itself: Empty racks: Dr. S.

7048 - Troll Warship Picture Review!

No, you are right, I realised last night after the pictures were posted that I'd forgotten to put the horns in. :-$ Dr. S. -
7048 - Troll Warship Picture Review!

I don't own any Viking sets - long story - mini dark age - children being born - etc - but I imagine so. It's the same material as minifig capes and the Indy Truck canopy. Yes, the armour is part of the head - the only bit that comes off is the little spike thingy at the back. Oh, and that crawling insect in your signature is REALLY annoying. :-D :-D Dr. S. -
7048 - Troll Warship Picture Review!

The main hull is chocolate brown and there are other parts - but alas the small boats on the sides are regular brown. :-( Dr. S. -

Thanks! I know I ought to take more during the build but I just get carried away! Dr. S. -
Here we go - some lovely pictures of this gorgeous set. Actually, the pictures aren't as good as I'd like as this thing is SO big it won't fit into my light tent - so apologies in advance if the piccies are a little off. And AWAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY we goooooooooooo!!!!!! The box first: There are four main numbered bags inside with the troll and dragon parts in their own un-numbered bags and all the large elements loose inside. I'm not really one for taking "in progress" pictures, besides I was chatting with my LEGO Association online, so here's the build after bag no 2 was completed - about half way through: And here it is complete: There's a large weapon thingy at the bow: And a prison chamber amidships: On either side of the main hull are two little launches - to encircle the enemy and destroy them! A view from the stern: One of the Troll shields on the side of the vessel - very cool... A bow shot - look out! One of the two sails - these are very nice indeed: Here's a view of the stern of the ship - they seem to have a bit of a rat problem, well, either that or he's lunch: The upper deck - there's a capstan thingy here for reeling in the suspended net above the main deck. Actually, this isn't the most efficient mechanism I've seen and I had to hook the string around one of the handles to get it to work!: The starboard side of the vessel with two of the oars: A view from outside the ship looking at the rear port side - I like this detail: A lovely view of the stern of the ship - I like this bit a lot: Now the crew are on board: A poor Dwarf - captured! A view of the complete ship - manned, or should that be goblined? The spares - odd that I had a whole spare sail! The minifigs: The weapons: Now for one of my favourite bits - the DRAGON! This dragon has armour plate: Finally, some shots of Sir TainDeath riding his dragon: Hope you enjoyed the pictures - I love this set, but I don't know where I'm going to put it! Dr. S.

Yep, now I have a dilemma - which one to make first! Dr. S. -
Here they are, the final iterations of the Adjudicator series. Two Adjudicator A2 MkIII Space Assault Guns flank a single Adjudicator A3 MkII MLRS variant. These latest models feature a slightly lengthened main chassis which brings the lower front armour forward to allow for greater ground clearance of the treads. In addition, the rear access panel to the fusion plant has been strengthened with additional armour plate: Now I can concentrate on something new! Dr. S.

Thanks - I've wanted to try the bubble idea for a while and I didn't know if I could pull it off - it worked nicely with my first attempt! Dr. S.

The point being that there is NO security to crack - the place is wide open - Ralph is given computer passwords, technical manuals and everything he wants to blow the place up if he wants to. However...the food is great, so Ralph pleads for more time in the job. It's really not as funny though if I have to explain it. :-D Dr. S.

Adjudicator Mk II Assault Guns on Earth's Moon during the exercises code-named Bravo Archer. The Mk II Adjudicator models are identifiable as they mount a number of improvements over the original model. 1) Enhanced anti-personnel lasers below the main armour. 2) Improved and widened front armour plating atop the main treads to eliminate any shot traps. 3) The addition of a powerful ECM/ECCM array on the port side - this array can be elevated to provide defence over a wider area but is typically mounted in the lower stowed position.
