  1. The X-Wing books by Michael Stackpole were the absolute BEST. I had the honour of meeting him when I was in the US for the Origins festival in 2006 (I'm on the right, and yes I've got a Coke Belly :-D :-D :-D ) I'm currently reading Death Star by Michael Reaves and Steve Perry which is quite cool. Dr. S.
  2. On behalf of the MLF (Minifig Liberation Front) - set your Minifigs FREE! Allow them to roam as they will - it's cruel to keep them cooped up in boxes (unless you really really really want to). Dr. S.
  3. Oh yes, I know it's not real, just weird... Dr. S.
  4. This seems to be doing the rounds...there are even instructions. Kind of weird... LEGO Electric Chair Dr. S.
  5. I was rooting around in my old parts and stumbled across these examples of really old discoloured LEGO bricks (top and bottom, middle bricks included for comparison purposes). Take a good look - these are meant to be WHITE pieces - they are so old, they now look almost tan. One of them has the remnants of an ancient sticker on it. I think these pieces must be at least 30 years old. And yet...as horrible as they are - they are MINE and you can't have them! :-) I've got some blue stuff as well that looks almost brown. Let's see what everyone else has got! Dr. S.
  6. You have to run? When there's a review to be done? Dammit man, where are your priorities? :-D :-D Seriously, can't wait. *y* Dr. S.
  7. I must never disappoint you? Eek, no pressure then. Now I'm sweating. :-D As for the heads - let me see - there's an Indiana Jones head there, his dad, Han Solo, Anakin Skywalker (little Annie), two of them are from Imperial Officers as found in a SW set (I changed them to Yellows to go with the rest of the Officers in the detachment) and the others came with the Brickarms troops. I've kind of exhausted my fleshie supply though. Dr. S.
  8. That would be great fun at a LEGO party! Random minifigs appearing in guests' drinks! Dr. S.
  9. Thanks. Not sure how to take the first part of your first sentence though. :-D :-D :-D Yeah, I tried to give the Germans character - in war films they are just cannon fodder, but they are people too, fighting for their country, and a lot of the Army hated the SS as much as the Allies did. As for more - not sure. Dr. S.
  10. I've posted some pix of how I did the freezing here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/doctorsiniste...57603867011518/ Dr. S.
  11. Well, this is just a little thingy I knocked up - actually, it's 5 pages long, but I hope you enjoy it. It's a WW2 picture story, featuring Brickarms Troops and Weapons. Please let me know what you think - I really hope you enjoy it. AMBUSH! Dr. S.
  12. I can do that! I've got some "behind the scenes" photos ready to go! Dr. S.
  13. Quite tricky to freeze LEGO you know - it floats. I needed to build a special contraption out of Technic beams to keep the "freezing chamber" below the water level. Dr. S.
  14. Linky Dr. S.
  15. Probably. But...it's a comic strip. Dr. S.
  16. Would YOU trust these guys to shoot their cans of food open? Rumour has it that the Officers don't even allow them to have live ammunition... :-D Dr. S.
  17. Linky Dr. S.
  18. The first strip to revisit an old storyline... Linky Dr. S.
  19. I really like this. The old Greek myths are a good topic to recreate. The labyrinth is well realised, there's a lot of action in the scene and the Minotaur is well made and suitably large and scary. Do more! (please) *y* Dr. S.
  20. I looked in my mirror and it broke. Well, I say "broke", more like shattered into 1,000 pieces. Dr. S.
  21. Neat! I love it! Dr. S.
  22. There are two - hopefully these are the numbers you need: 4525919 4525920 ? Dr. S.
