Adjudicator Class Space Assault Gun.
Doctor Sinister replied to Doctor Sinister's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Gosh, thanks! :-$ :-$ :-$ Dr. S. -
Well, sort of, this came about by accident as I was actually trying to build something for my Blue Grunts, but now that it (well, they, there are two of them) is/are finished, I think they look more spacey than anything else. I present - the Adjudicator Class Space Assault Gun! Some images are below, but please go HERE for the full specification (two pages). Please let me know what you think - are these suitable for ground defence of a Moonbase? Dr. S.

It's classified material for a secret Sinister Incorporated project - I could tell you what it is, but then I'd have to kill you. Dr. S.

SOME puns just have to be done...this is only the second out and out pun in the series, I like to intersperse them every now and then. Dr. S.

Lego book published by Doring Kindersley
Doctor Sinister replied to Holodoc's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Got my copy right here on my desk, it's a good book, nice introduction to the hobby, some excellent models in there. Dr. S. -
I really like this - excellent work Mr Stauder, EXCELLENT! The turret ring is inspired and very realistic, the interior is super-cool and the turret shape itself is really nice. My only (ONLY) quibble is the low ammo' capacity - I reckon that would severely limit its range of operations before it had to reload - and I don't think it's a realistic figure, a tank that size should be able to carry more shells. But that really is just me being picky - the actual design is A1. Dr. S.

Angled plates, that's what I originally wanted to use. Good move. Can you fit a jumper at the front on the bottom to fill out that gap at all? On the first one I mean. Dr. S. -
I can't guarantee that, I tend to make them as and when but I am trying to build up a decent catalogue in view of where this will shortly be appearing. Dr. S.

These are cool, even the truck - it's functional, what more does it need to be? I love the handguns too - great design! Neat spyboat as well. All round top marks - although my sigfig appears to have grown back a real hand (Doctor Sinister has a robot left arm, so he should have a black hand on that side). :-) Dr. S.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. There's a reason for the hectic rate that these are coming out - for one thing, I'm REALLY enjoying making them, for another, they will soon be appearing on a military history website where I work as one of the editors and I need a year's worth (26 episodes) at least. Dr. S.

Sorry, I'm on a bit of a roll right now. Linky Dr. S.

That's quite deliberate - I'm going for a range of humour across these pieces and whilst there will be ones with elaborate setups and things, there will be simpler ones too like this one. There will also be running gags and setups that come back time and time again but right now I'm just trying to establish the various styles. Dr. S.

I just showed this one to Mrs S and she looked at me blankly, shook her head and went to bed. Sigh... Dr. S.

The Master is spot-on! Nice work! Yes, the Daleks are minifig scale - designed on LEGO Factory - so you can order some if you want - as a result though I was slightly limited on parts. Note that I shortened the design once they actually arrived... Dr. S. -

I finally added a new news story - Grunts has been taking up all my Tabletown time lately, so here you go... * * * The Mayor's office today denied any impropriety following newspaper pictures published in our rival publication, "Tabletown Tittle-Tattle" of our glorious leader apparently leaving a three-in-a-bed orgy which was reportedly held at Residence One last weekend. A spokesman for the Mayor denied suggestions that the Mayor was ignoring his responsibilities as head of the Tabletown Region; "Mayor Doctor Sinister has been very busy in attempting to defuse the ongoing border conflicts with BestLockLand and indeed was entertaining two young female VIPs at The Black House when they both became very hot due to a failure in the central heating system. When both of these ladies fainted, our esteemed Mayor took it upon himself as the only person in the room qualified to do anything to strip all their clothes off and attempt to revive them - vigorously. In the circumstances, the Mayor's Doctorate in "Practically Everything" was rather fortuitous as he was able to save both their lives and restore them to full health after a warm chocolate shower." The Mayor and his two VIP guests, pictured just prior his assault on the newsmen outside Residence One. Picture courtesy of Tabletown Tittle-Tattle. * * * Linky Dr. S.
