  1. Being a chevy man, this is a great moc! Only flaw I see is that on corvettes, the hood hinges at the nose and flips forward.
  2. I don't think sets have to reappear, but certain parts like the cylinder brackets, or red 5 x 11 panels, should come back in new sets. That way people can have the parts they want without paying an arm and a leg for them.
  3. Well, a long time ago I wished Lego would come out with more blue sets, and with 4 of the 1h2014 sets including Blue, they listened!
  4. The wheels are from set 42001 Mini Off-roader. I had 6 of them to I used them. The other option I would have had is from 9390 mini tow truck, but I only have 4 of those. EDIT - Found different tires in my collection to try. They looked better, but were a tad smaller, so I lowered the cab and box by 1 stud. Glenn
  5. Redesigned the Tractor and Dump Truck. New pictures in first post. Glenn
  6. EDIT-Updated pictures. Here is a preview of my entry into the contest. 1. Harvester Features: HOG steering 1 Small linear actuator for shoot 2 Small linear actuators for raise/lower header Right wheel drives chain through elevator, which then turns the head. 2. Tractor HOG center pivot steering Articulating front axle Working I4 motor Lift/Lower 3 point hitch Rear wheel drives pto 3. Harvest Truck HOG steering 1 small actuator for tipping bed How many pieces each? Who knows. I know there isn't many in the Harvest Truck, but I think the Harvester and Tractor have more than 500 each, so I should be close. Let me know what you think, or maybe advice on what to change before the official entry, Thanks for looking! Glenn
  7. for the mini contest, you could make the entry fit inside a shoebox. You would have to say the dimensions of the shoebox, but that would be easier to control than the amount od parts. I also agree no pf in the mini.
  8. I didn't want to start a new 41999 topic, but I found out something interesting. I recently have sold a 41999 set on Ebay to a member hunghui33. I looked into his feedback. Within the last month, he has bought over 60 sets on Ebay. This does not include the ones he bought and did not get feedback from, like myself. Mailing address is Oregon, but his membership says Hong Kong. Who knows how many he is planning on buying and what his plans are in the future, but for an average price of $400 x 60 sets = $24,000!
  9. I would have to say 8285 Tow Truck in 2006. But that was after my collection melted in a house fire. I still have 8285, and my collection has grown since then. Before the fire, I did a lot of model team type building. 7 years later, I'm still trying to improve my studless building skills.
  10. I got this set for my birthday. Just got done building it tonight. As far as looks, the sides and front are good, but the back needs some work. I will be changing the outriggers to a liftarm with 1x3 liftarm feet. The gearbox design and install was a great piece of engineering. Lego never stops coming up with creative ways of securing different components. Only other thing I would add is an electric switch. The battery is pretty deep in the body, making it hard to change directions of the motor. All in all, I am happy I have this set, and would recommend it to everyone! Glenn
  11. Very nice trailer. Only thing I would change is taking the tanks off the trailer. Kinda makes me want to change my trailer design.
  12. If anyone wants to buy plate number EK 06668 of 20,000, it's for sale on ebay for $1,000!!!!http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lego-Technic-41999-Exclusive-Limited-Edition-Crawler-License-Plate-only-EK-06668-/181206434602?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item2a30bec32a
  13. Hey guys, I bought a box full of bionicle sets for cheap. It has about a dozen sets in it. None of them are 100% complete, and not instructions/boxes. I thought about selling them individually or as a lot on ebay, but it seems they don't have enough value to make it worth it. My other option is to strip them and keep the technic pieces. Many parts are rare technic parts, so I would get my moneys worth of spare parts, and figure out what to do with the rest. My question is if you came across a bionicle lot, what would you do with them?
  14. OK, I have to ask, was the "Bat" designed by Stark Enterprises, and Tony is taking it for a test drive? Just kidding, great model!
  15. Anyone else notice on thier wheels that the white stripe looks scratched at the edges like in this picture? Any ideas on how to fix it without taking away the value? All 4 of my wheels have the same scratch look.
  16. Yep, Internet Explorer 10 is the problem. Just jumped onto Google Chrome and it works. Thanks for the tip!
  17. Don't know if this is the place for this, but I cannot start new paragraphs. I've tried enter, shift + enter, tab. Nothing works. Please inform me of what I'm doing wrong.
  18. Nevermind. Thought I saw pictures of the b model on brickshelf, but they were a moc.
  19. I got 3797. Was a great building experience. I bought it at my local Lego Store in New York
  20. I thought I have seen the Dark Blue before. It's on set 8009: Star Wars R2-D2.
  21. With all the problems online, I'm happy my father went to the Lego store in Victor, NY. He grabbed 2, and 3 more were on the shelf at 10am est when they opened. Now I gotta get myself home so I can build it! Good luck to those that ordered it online.
  22. My local store has a few and wouldn't let me buy 1 til 10am august 1st. I hope they didn't sell any early.
  23. I would like a set that has red 5 x 11 panels. I can't justify $8/piece on brinklink.
  24. Just was on Facebook and Lego posted a video on youtube of Egor going to Billund: I am so jealous!!!
